Very Poor Customer Service, Communication, and Follow-up

At our initial meeting with our field manager (Andy S.) in August 2020, he assured us that he would provide weekly updates as our house was being built. We received "weekly" updates on 9/4, 9/18, and 12/18/2020. We would have to ask questions several times before receiving any response. We would often receive no response at all. When we would raise issues, Andy would often respond "I'll take care of it" but not follow-up and actually do anything. I have been in our home 6 weeks, all of the whirlpool appliance do not work. Have to call Whirlpool directly, get a service technician out here - after 5 days he comes out and tells me he has to order parts that take 4 to 6 weeks. I paid over $600K for this home - all appliances should work. I would like a call from a Pulte Manager to discuss this problem

Our sales person was inept and after we signed lost interest in us and the house! The construction foreman had only one interest and it was for us to sign off on extremely poor construction.

Many people buy here for the Sun City name and life style. Del Webb is stamping out homes and only concerned in profit. The finish work is extremely poor. Ironically, the options we paid for were among the worst! The construction supervisor is in a bad spot as they can't hire or fire workers that don't have a clue to what they are doing. The poor workmanship of this house builder

The quality is very poor, the work is like your getting a starter house, as cheap as you can build. This builder does not take pride in building home, issues after issues. I had mold on wood and this builder would not replace the wood, just cover the wood up. Just lots of cheap materials in house.

Poor trim materials, lousy paint, lousy finish work (use caulk to try & cover up poor craftmanship). Every time they fixed 2 things, they damaged/broke one other thing. They had to install our wood floors 3 times. I (buyer) was the one to find the errors and installation issues with the floors. Pulte would have sold it to me in poor condition if I had not found all the issues. They do not inspect their contractors' work, and hope that caulk, poor lighting, and quick walk-throughs will get them to the closing process. Lack of flexibility in changes is a problem. Most new owners spend the first month after move in redoing the interior of the house, discarding things Pulte put in and spending much money on replacements. Work crews show no pride in their workmanship. Many trades do substandard work which has to be redone three times to get it right. Don't expect the contractors to know what they are doing from the guys who pour the slabs to completion. Over a month later I'm still waiting for a response to a response to correct the many construction issues that I reported. No one even came out to look. The only thing that was corrected were the electrical issues with a doorbell and a gfi outlet that didn't work. There paint is everywhere that it should be and is missing where it should be. Production build - no more

I was told from day one that this was a production build and that Pulte would not make accommodations for individual buyers. That was absolutely the case, without exception. I have never worked with such an unyielding builder. The quality of the workmanship is subpar and the field manager was unwilling to fix the problems. I have had the opportunity to speak with many neighbors now and they have all had the same experience.

Our first construction manager didn’t even contact US until after Sheetrock was complete. The second one was fantastic right up to final walk through, after that he became nonexistent. It’s been almost two months and we get no response on punchlist items. As to the lack of attention, walls are not square, most door’s are sticking, cabinets are coming apart, which to me means the construction manager it’s not holding the contractors to any quality standards.

Major issues found upon move in. Builder is months behind and can’t fix. These are not warranty issues the issues are sloppy workmanship and DelWebb not supervising their contractors to assure of a quality home build. This is our fourth home build. We are very disappointed in the final product.
