Although we gave a good review originally, after more than a month of living here, we are now extremely disappointed. It took way too long to start building and then it seems Del Webb rushed to complete. From the beginning, Del Webb's sales staff would only contact us after we contacted them. No updates were forthcoming until we called them. Fast forward to after closing, we hired painters to paint the bedrooms, den, and bathrooms and found the workmanship of Del Webb, in association with the walls, abysmal - incomplete (gap between top of door and drywall), did not sand mud and painted over ...

Lack of follow up for move in issues

A number of items needed to be addressed after move in. We have had 2 Builders (superintendents) transferred out of this project. The lack of finish quality is a real disappointment. I am hoping the Del Webb (Pulte) follows up and corrects the problems. So far they have not become engaged.

Home was left dirty for us. Attic above garage not insulated. Wiring issues. Multiple paint spots on carpet. Dishwasher hose not connected causing water leak. Overspray and missed paint on exterior. From the time we signed the contract, it was all downhill. Communication from our salesperson Bobby G was scant and not helpful sending us to website for needed info that we could not get access to because we did not close yet. We had 3 field managers. This purchase was quite a nightmare. There was many delays, poor craftsmanship and materials not to our standard for the cost of them. As a disabled veteran on a budget it was hard to see the upgrades they charged excessively for although were needed for my safety. We were to far in to look elsewhere. If we could have we probably would have went a different direction. We love the area.

Buying a new home should never be the horrific experience that it was for me. Too many delays. The lack of gas meter installation caused a major delay which caused me to have to live in a hotel for 2 weeks and pay a lot of money for storage of my personal belongings and pet care. The house was built with some very cheap materials, the workers all did apprentice ship work. I am very disappointed in Pulte builders. If your buying a home here I suggest you stop buy a lot and check on the workmanship. Sorry to say I felt like I was left hanging after I signed my papers,

Disappointing experience!

Experience was too rushed as we were in the process of selling and moving out of our other home in another state. All the technology used by the company was difficult to understand for an elderly couple and it was difficult to complete the application process. Also, the sales agent misrepresented two different issues then blamed it on our lack of understanding him. My husband and our realtor were all present at the meeting and we all understood the same thing. It was very disappointing to find out at the closing that we did not get the things we had been promised.

No need for AC in July....

My AC has not worked properly since I moved in at the end on June. It's now August 15th and it's still now working. I was told that the thermostat not controlling temp was normal, I should be OK with it the 80's in my house. Black marks on my while tile floor...again I was told "that's how it's supposed to be. Back Splash tile are not all the same color. Again, I was told that was how it was supposed to be. Door handles on my sliding glass doors were different colors...I was told, that was how it's supposed to be. Those handles were taking off..they were different colors...new handles ...

Total lack of attention to details. Subcontractors are more concern to getting the job done fast with many errors. Which needs to repair at later date. In summary we paid custom home prices for a tract home.

There is a general lack of pride in the workmanship of these homes. They have used the cheapest materials in some cases, especially with the AC. In my opinion the AC system has been poorly installed and is sized incorrectly.

Our field manager Chris was wonderful. We had & still have issues that need to be addressed. He was there for us & tried his best to get things accomplished. The house was not in presentable shape at the closing . Moving into a new house should be exciting not this disappointing.

There is no quality control that I could see. My review came up with over twenty items that needed to be fixed. After turnover I am still finding poor workmanship. If you do not have any building experience, I would suggest finding someone who will be able to spot these items before you agree to close on the house

Value is not here. Very poor quality material and poor workmanship is the norm and no one seems to care. They watch sales and pricing more than the contractors workmanship.

There is little to inadequate supervision of the contractors during the build and if you are not here watching them or don't know construction you are at a huge disadvantage. Contractors are not held to any reasonable standard because they are inadequately supervised and poor or substandard workmanship is the standard they are held to. And for this we are charged excessive prices. I call the construction practices here the "Clown Act". Just hurry up and get it done. We'll fix it later IF someone catches the mistakes.... I’ve never seen such shoddy workmanship in the many years I was a Realtor showing all kinds of homes. Don’t expect quality in a Del Webb Home

The quality of materials and workmanship are surprisingly poor given the price we paid ( $460,000) for our Del Webb house. They market brand names such as Kitchen Aid and Sherwin Williams paint, but the actual product from these vendors are their low grade lines. The paint is so poor and thinly applied it will rub off if you try to clean a mark off the wall. They use plastic fasciae and roof trim that rattles in the slightest wind. Pulte does not deliver

Do not expect to receive what you order. Pulte changes colors in major areas, in my case, the color of my roof. While most of the trades I have dealt with were eager to please and respectful, their tiling company is the worst in their industry. In my kitchen, they used 2 different dye lots. The tiles in the guest bathroom wall were not lined up and jutted out in some corners. They sent a man who was verbally abusive, aggressive and a bully. I had to tell him to leave and mot come back.

Model Home Nightmare

Purchased "Model Home" in McKinney. Entry door was attached to frame with Tyvek Tape, Interior doors missing hinge pins and hardware, Plumbing leaks, huge sprinkler leaks, broken exterior lights, do not waste your money on these poorly constructed dumps.

False advertising and poor customer service

First we were told we could have a tray ceiling and signed contract as such then told later it could not be done in our model. After foundation was poured we noticed the garage looked small. We have standing water within inches of our foundation- our neighbor has complained,through the warranty process, so have we, he has a work order, so do we. Horrible quality control and construction management.

The quality of the homes that Pulte builds is very disappointing. The construction managers assigned to the homes are worthless and the contractors do the minimum just to get paid. Very poor warranty response also. Overall, very disappointing!

My less than stellar home

This is a model home, which to me classifies as a new home. However, when I submit a request for service, Pulte people I deal with constantly remind of what do I expect, this home was built in 2014. Customer service is definitely lacking. If I had known this home has so many issues, I never would have purchased it. The painters took absolutely no care in their work.
