After living in my Pulte home for a few weeks, I am seeing multiple problems as a result from poor workmanship and multiple cosmetic issues needing attention. I moved here from a Pulte home that was constructed well. After this recent move, I would NOT recommend Pulte to friends and family. I am working with Warranty on urgent issues but told the majority of corrections would have to wait for the 11 month walk through! “Don’t be rushed through all walk through stages.” Functional corrections were being made as I was closing that was already delayed d/t builders issue with contractors. Stone Creek Home Disappointment

I am truly disappointed in the workmanship if our home and would never recommend a friend after seeing the finished product. It is amazing that they can make the models look so good and then give customers sub standard quality. We paid a lot of money for our home. Very disappointing. Our salesperson was very helpful and our field manager did what they were allowed to do but their hands were tied as far as who the company hired for subs and the materials used. This is the fifth home that we have had built for us and probably ranks very low for quality for price paid.

Workers don’t take pride in workmanship

We were told thinks by the salesperson that were not true Workers only care to check off their job. They would paint over anything just to check off their job. We still have crooked walls, bad sparkling, would floors that have many lose areas. There would have been many more thinks wrong if I did not throw a fit before we move in

Have been very disappointed in quality & customer service. This is the fifth new home experience we’ve had and definitely the most disappointing. It’s been a fight on every issue from having a toilet moved that was off center at a shower, kitchen island top seam that was ragged & filled with the wrong color material, corian master shower wall cap that was rough cut and uneven (never was made right) to the poor housekeeping & cleanup on delivery. The most disappointing about the Del Webb community is Pulte and the lack of updated choices in the design center for the Garden series homes. The choices are very limited and color choices are outdated. To get up to date choices, you must upgrade to the highest level and pay ridiculous prices and the quality is poor. Get everything in writing as promises may not be kept. And go to the design center prior to signing a contract if they let you. Poor Quality in workmanship

Problems after move in

Right after move we found 1. front door lock was broken, 2. Furnace was not connected to gas pipe - heat was not working, found millions of ants that was eradicated at my expense, garage door was not going down - fixed at my expense, found spilled concrete on front hallway, entire driveway was not forced sprayed (clean) as others, found front lawn in very dried state including small tree was dying - very few leaves also the rest of grass around the house was very dried and brown. Workmanship is below average. Warranty is the worst I have experienced among builders. Submitted several warranty requests and received either no response at all or a very slow response. WIll no choose Pulte again. Title company that represents Pulte Homes in Orlando had incompetent individuals who were not even able to answer questions the legal description. In fact, they recorded several deeds with incorrect legal and had to file for corrective deed later on.

We were not included in their “Celebration Walk-Through”. This is a walk-through prior to closing that should occur. In our case, just the construction supervisor and the warranty company rep performed the walk-through. So, there have been “punch-list” items that are becoming apparent as we live in the home. (We have been in our home now for 36 days.) The Pulte Warranty folks have been hesitant to have these issues fixed. Large bureaucracy that struggles to provide customer service.

Disappointed in dealing with the Pulte bureaucracy when trying to get minors changes made during the build process. Pulte was more concerned with the process of building your house than it was to making sure they provided great customer service. Had to pay a $250 service charge to change out a refrigerator that cost less than the refrigerator that Pulte had scheduled for the house. Painting is a very poor quality and still cleaning or touching up paint issues.

I have been a loyal Del Webb follower since my parents lived in a Del Webb community in Arizona in the 1990s. They had such a great experience in their community and loved their home. I decided then that I wanted the same experience when it was my turn to retire. Unfortunately, the quality of workmanship and the cost do not parallel. Pulte homes are the quality of the original Del Webb name/homes. They are less original with minimal to no choices to make your home individual, and the quality of craftsmanship is poor at best. I expected better quality for the high price. Painter splattered paint all over everything (floors, outlets, outdoor pavers, etc.). Door hardward installed in the wrong place and much damage to the wood trim when trying to fix. Took 5 tries to get the correct refrigerator installed. While our construction manager listened to us there were many issues we had to bring up to him, things he should have known to do on his own. We paid to have items done a certain way and then found out that they arbitrarily would not do it. Had we known that we would have had a lot of extras done after closing. The subcontractors that Pulte uses are subpar to say the least.

If something could go wrong, it did go wrong with our home build. It feels like they are building too fast with no quality checks. Our project manager was friendly but dropped the ball so many times. How anyone can be a project manager and not be organized is ridiculous. We live locally and would check on the home once a week. We found issues every single time we looked. Terrible experience with Del Webb Homes!

I've been a Licensed Real Estate Broker in NC for 30 years and have sold over 400 homes. I've never seen a new home with so many issues. No heat, no hot water in the kitchen, toilets clogged up, numerous electrical issues (improperly wired and bad outlets). Shotty workmanship and finish work. Not all punch list items completed before closing and builder refuses to come back and warranty division won't fix them. I invite representatives from Del Webb to come to my home to see for themselves. Their sales video states "Quality and Commitment". We haven't seen either!

Whomever did the detailed architectural layout/planning of the home’s infrastructure (water, power, lighting, etc…) failed! The master shower, and kitchen water are so far from the water heater we have to waste 2-3 gallons of water before it begins to warm up. The light switch placements are not consistent from room to room. What is the overhead light in one room is switched in the next. The bed-side switch for the master bedroom switched light is so far from the edge of a king bed that you have to be out of bed to use it. Our buying experience was wonderful with Dorothy. She listened to what we wanted and answered all our questions. The quality of workmanship was not great.
