As a buyer of a Pulte home you must be diligent in keeping up with them from the meeting with the sales office to the completion with the construction manager. *Double check appx. closing date. We were told a date, a date we had to have our house under contract, which left us homeless for 3mo. because the salesperson "made a mistake". They replied it was an appx date but then why didn't they change the contract with when we had to have our house sold by. *Communication is poor at best. Great idea, great neighbors, interesting activities (when they open), but the home? Watch out! Pulte is NOT a custom builder and they go out of their way to make you understand that AFTER you've purchased your home (read: NO changes!). This was the 3rd home we've built and by far the worst quality, and highest price, of any we have lived in. It appears there is a total lack of "workmanship" from all the subcontractors and a mandate to use the cheapest materials possible with no consideration of common sense. Very poor quality of materials. Design Center is the most disappointing, they RUSH you in making decisions. You get one 4 hour appointment, with TERRIBLE help!

After settlement do not expect help with problems.

There is a form that they have you sign saying the home is perfect before settlement. When you move in you see problems and there is no interest in dealing with them. The basement had mud and dirt and on the floor and it took repeated efforts to get them to do anything about it. The basement wall is leaking water and there has been no response in the 3 weeks after being told about it. There was a lack of oversight of the subcontractors and sub par workmanship considering the price paid for the house. My construction superintendent allowed sub contractors to do poor quality finish work. Then, when I asked for improvement and follow up....he went dark.....couldn't get ahold of him. Still having a problem getting things done & I've been in our home over a month..

The low voltage vendor Securepro miss labeled the codes for wiring tv hook ups. Can't be corrected since Pulte's lack of consistent plans allowed plumber to run pipes where the backing was to go. The rush to complete and lack of thorough inspection missed several item that had to be corrected after purchase. PM didn't provide shower rood for second bathroom told us to buy our own, he probably took it for himself. There is little oversiight of vendors Pulte uses. Homeowners in this community are EXTREMELY nice which is a HUGE plus.

Pulte boasts "premium building materials" and "higher quality standards". I have gotten nothing but push back and told out right lies about rectifying issues with the quality of the "upgraded" kitchen cabinets. Some, but not all sizes of the doors have visible vertical seams. The sales manager claimed any doors wider than 20.5" wide will have a seam in the joints. Four sets of doors are 22'' wide and do have a visible seam. Upon visiting several other homes under construction in the same neighborhood with the same exact doors there are NO SEAMS on the 22" wide doors. So much for ...

It's extremely disappointing when trades (contractors) don't care about quality. Slap it up, poor results and deal with it after the fact. Large disconnect with the sales department, design center and construction.... No one takes responsibility, they all pass the buck. It doesn't matter if its a 5 million dollar home or a million dollar home, its all very poor!

Watch your build closely

Most everything in this build was not corrected like baseboards not cut to even close to a 45 degree and then just filled in with silicone to hide it instead of putty which could be sanded and painted. The builder grade paint can't be cleaned either. The front door was painted to the proper color but it still has places that are not painted at all across the top of the glass and they had to come back to paint around the door fixtures that they sloppily taped and instead of taking off the door handles first, then painted and replaced the handles. What a poor experience buying this new home. The home was stock inventory, so it was finished when I saw it. The builder ignored it for the 40 day escrow, didn't perform any repairs/fixes from the walk through until the closing day, didn't finish the repairs and is not responding to many outstanding issues. The home was never properly cleaned, the windows are dirty. Overall, the experience from Del Webb is poor and low quality.

Wish I was helped more during the building process

When we picked out our counters and carpeting it was so rushed I couldn’t think. I wanted quartz countertops and only got them in the kitchen. The bathrooms are granite which I have never liked. I thought they were going to be quartz. She told me the carpet with the pad would be nice and I’m not happy at all. Painting quality is bad. Mantel is way too high. I like the layout of the home.

Worst buying experience of my life! Started with the rude salespeople and continues with the slow responses to repair requests. I was completely mislead. If I had to buy again, I’d probably buy somewhere else. Only redeeming factor was the foremen on my job …he’s been informative and helpful but nothing can help the shoddy construction and lies coming from the front office. Shameful just shameful. And I’d like to blame them personally but being in business for over 30 years has taught be…it starts at the top. Which is why I’d never recommend to anyone to purchase a Pulte home.

The process to build our home has taken almost a year from start to finish. The quality of what we received vs what we paid is not equal. We have experienced numerous problems from the get-go. We have a broken truss in our attic that Pulte didn't identify before closing, but (thankfully) our private inspector did. Pulte opted not to repair it, they just added to braces to each side and had the Engineer say it was good. Plumbing is horrible, water pressure is non-exixstent. Discovered from SAWS that it was because the fixtures used to tie into the City water line was less than adequate ...

Bought at the height of the market when sales process & lender took buyers for granted. By the time the house was estimated to be done, market had crashed, but the home had still had 2 months + to go before completion. (Wish they'd taken their time to do it right, though!)
