Most of the upgrade options are worth the money.

We bought a home that had fallen out of escrow and the sales team had us convinced the sale price was reduced twice and we were getting a great deal. The appraisal came in $10K below the selling price so I asked three times for a price adjustment. Each time the response was they would need to run it by the manager, but no one ever gave us an answer to our request. Otherwise the sale went smoothly. The sales staff is knowledgeable, patient, and friendly. Everyone has been attentive after the sale and they are very good about warranty repairs and follow-up. In general we had a good experience. The only issue is that they do not have the ability to do any custom details beyond their normal options.

Several problems with quality of workmanship, such as garage door not installed properly and falling off. Doors put in wrong place and opening wrong direction. Need to watch closely to make sure the home is built properly and as you requested per the plans as approved. Our insurance company did not initially want to insure the home for the price paid. Paying for more than just the home, such as the amenities. Need to watch the construction closely to catch issues as the on site supervising does not appear to catch details with construction or finishing. If you order the standard Whirlpool dishwasher, expect your contents to be only partially dry, even with the high temp dry and a rinse aid. A whirlpool technician sent to correct the problem attributes it to plastic materials instead of steel. They can't achieve a complete dry.

I have only lived here for 6 weeks. It would be better to ask after I have been here longer. It has not been without issues. Some have been resolved and some are pending. I continue to notice things.

This is the third new construction home we have bought (lived in the others 8 years and 35 years), and this Del Webb home has the highest quality workmanship of the three houses - solidly built, did not cut corners. Problems (not many) were fixed quickly after the walk through. So we were impressed with the construction process. The loan and design processes were a bit confusing. We had to pick the structural upgrades first, then the design upgrades. When we picked the structural upgrades, we had no clue on what design upgrades we could have and how much each would cost, so there was no way to apportion our available funds to the two categories. Their design center and designer were very helpful. The design web page (which we heard they were re-doing) was difficult to navigate around and did not provide complete information. We found their loan process confusing (who did what and why we had to submit the same documents multiple times and the timetable of what we should expect when). Excellent community which is reflected in the introduction of Del Webb during the sales process. Communication during the build process was not consistent with our initial experience.. You need to be very proactive during the build and afterwards as the delivery team’s priorities affect their responsiveness to issues.

8 weeks after close and we still have missing items. House was very dirty. Workmanship was disappointing for a $600K house. Paint job was poor. Paint on our wood floors.

We were told we weren’t getting a custom home but it would be a quality home - swing and a miss on both. Disappointed.

Love the layout of the house. Neighborhood is lush and green. Even with Covid, neighbors are friendly when you meet them outside. Only problem is lack of storage, but I've heard everyone has this problem. Plan for this when you build, especially if you are used to having a basement.

So when you don’t like the truth you erase it. I’m not happy with my cabinets or the contractor who installed them. End of story

The community here is wonderful. The environment is beautiful, and amenities unsurpassed. Be aware that there are multiple quality of work issues that can be remedied, but you will need to be persistent and patient. I am seeing intentional effort to resolve these issues; however, there are more than one project that will be extensive and have still not been initiated. Also, I would advise potential buyers to check the reviews and references of their Pulte real estate agent. Choose only from those with excellent ratings. It will greatly influence your buying experience.

Wanted to join resort lifestyle , quiet small town. We bought a ready to move in spec house with a pond view , pool , three car , 3br,3ba , office den ,great kitchen with open concept to living and dining . Large lanai and screened in pool. Best part was all the great new neighbors. Ave Maria is very nice in a rural setting . Nice roads to and from .Pulte offered us a nice finance package that was a smooth process and quick .

I believe that Del Webb knows what they are doing as they build all these 55+ communities. They know what people are looking for and enjoy. They work with reputable companies that know how to keep the building process on schedule. I only noticed that a few of the items I paid extra for were done cheaply (such as, plastic lights in the ceiling).

I have lived in my new home for 5 weeks. I'm happy with the quality and workmanship. There were a few issues but they were minor. I would recommend Del Webb to my friends.

Love my new home and am very pleased with it. Have found a few minor issues with our new home but they were either quickly fixed or we fixed them ourselves. Truly believe it is a great benefit to be close while the house is being built and check on it at least once a week. We found several issues during the building that were quickly fixed. If they had not been pointed out by us would they have been caught in time to fix or caught at all? It appears at times that the subcontractor is more concerned with just completing the task and moving on the next house vice actually caring for the quality of his work. ... More

We love our new home in Del Webb at Chateau Elan! While the neighborhood is still under construction, every effort is taken to provide comfort and convenience for current homeowners while continuing to make new home buyers' dreams come true! The amenities here are spectacular and the staff here is the friendliest on the planet! We've met new friends and are learning new sporting activites, as well! Can't say enough good things about our experience. Would highly recommend!

Price paid exceeds home assessment.

Although we gave a good review originally, after more than a month of living here, we are now extremely disappointed. It took way too long to start building and then it seems Del Webb rushed to complete. From the beginning, Del Webb's sales staff would only contact us after we contacted them. No updates were forthcoming until we called them. Fast forward to after closing, we hired painters to paint the bedrooms, den, and bathrooms and found the workmanship of Del Webb, in association with the walls, abysmal - incomplete (gap between top of door and drywall), did not sand mud and painted over it, gobs of caulk not smoothed out, pockmarked and dents everywhere. The building and warranty managers told us we should have never used eggshell paint because it would show too many flaws. Well we weren't expecting such poor workmanship! The drywall people came (3 days) to try and fix everything but short of starting all over (hanging new drywall), it was a futile endeavor. To top it all off, we paid extra money to have smooth walls; it was a builder's upgrade. We requested a refund, but never heard back from the salesman (no surprise there). We just hope that Del Webb's poor workmanship doesn't show up in anything else but only time will tell. In summary, Del Webb's abysmal workmanship cost us more time and money to try to correct their mistakes. ... More
