I have built 4 houses and this by far was the worse experience. Poor quality workmanship that had to have several areas be repaired or replaced multiple times from framing to plumbing to slab pouring to windows to painting. Quoted 4 months from signing of paperwork to closing. It ended up being 12 months and I am still dealing with issues still needed to be addressed with windows and doors. In addition the added timeframe cost me an additional $8,000 to extend the rental I had along with having to pay 1.25% higher mortgage rate which equates to another $38,000 more over the life of the ...

The dishonesty of the sales team

The sales team will tell any lie to make the sale. They refuse to put anything into writing. I paid extra to have them put the refrigerator in at closing. At closing they said it will be delayed a week or two. Now they are saying 3 months this for a refrigerator that is locally available and can be delivered in 3 days but they refuse to refund the money. Windows are so cheap that every windy day sand blows in through windows.

Dont expect much from Pulte. donot get upgrades, because they will not honor them in a timely manner, even if ordered 10 months out. It has nothing to do with supply delays. No communications unless you become a pitbull. It is extremely exhausting to deal with. I have had nothing but issues prior to close, during close and after close. A month after closing, still working on issues.

A real disappointment

The build quality was the poorest I have ever seen in a new home. There were problems with broken trusses, walls that were not plumb or square, sheet rock seams horribly visible, appliances installed incorrectly and windows out of square and needing replacement parts. We were assured at closing that everything would be corrected immediately, but 6 weeks later we are still waiting for repairs. I could never recommend Pulte to anyone looking for a new home.

Very poor quality of workmanship. Poor paint job with paint stains all over floor, etc. Very poor grout work in bathroom tile. Contractors walking in house with muddy feet permanently staining concrete and grout. Broken cabinets. Plumbing and electrical issues. Wrong kitchen faucet installed. Microwave surround not installed.

Lack of customer service in fixing many things

We waited 17 months for our build. We saw many other houses during this time start well after our house and finish well before. Yet we should not have closed, as we got tricked the day before closing into believing many items would be fixed. After three days we identified 17 items that were not done correctly at closing. Only three were fixed. Now, six weeks later, nothing has been fixed for 36 days except for our gutters finally being put in. We still are in dire need of many things that we cannot get fixed.

If we could have, we would have walked away from this home purchase, but we didn't want to forfeit our earnest deposit. Terrible communication, still waiting for final walk thru punch list to be completed. We've bought and sold many homes, this was the absolute worst buying experience we've ever encountered.

This was the worst experience we had building a home from the master shower, tile installed incorrectly causing the tile to all be torn out and then having to move plumbing, gas line to cooktop installed in wrong place causing drywall, insulation & back of cabinets to be destroyed. The process was slow which we totally understand. It started out fine, great communication with our field manager the entire time as well. But, after almost two months of owning the home there are issues that have not been taken care of and it is so disappointing that no one has time to address and fix these issues. They are to busy to get back to the homes they closed on making you feel like your home isn’t important anymore. The builder poured the concrete slab wrong. After three weeks of trying to tell my field manager that through text, email, and voice messages, I finally found out the field manager had quit. After some time I got someone else to tell me they “identified the problem” but offered no plan to fix it. Even though I asked specific questions about reinforcing with rebar and using an expansion joint after they would jackhammer the concrete, I never got a direct answer if it would be done. Make sure you have an independent building inspector inspect your home before you sign off on anything. It is hard to get issues addressed after you move in. You cannot get a response from a person to find out if and when your issues may be addressed.

This is our 4th Del Webb new home and the experience couldn't have been worse. From being forced to bid on lots, to the house no where near ready on Walkthrough Day (and I mean no master tub, no cooktop, etc!), to broken windows installed, to footprints IN the concrete of our front walk, to even painting my two garage doors DIFFERENT COLORS. There is no end to the disappointments. Had we deposited less money, we would have walked away.

We did our walk thru and the place was a mess and was told they would do a final clean. Pointed out several issues inside and outside of the house. Received a text 3 days later that everything was fixed and we could move in. I am out of state so I did not come back for 3 weeks. When I arrived w truckloads of items to move in the majority of the walk thru stuff had not been complete and the house was filthy. The superintendent did get most items fixed in next 2 days but I should of never had to delay my move in or call people to come fix and clean. I am still trying to get the last few ...

They care about closing the deal. They do not care about you, your home, or about honesty and integrity. Their employees are dishonest and insincere. The company is cheap and will always choose their profit over the quality of the product they deliver to you. Really lackluster customer service by corporate employees who are experts at complaint deflection, redirection and excuse making.
