If you want a punch list a mile long that never get finished then this is the house for you. If not beware! Appointments are made and NOT kept and Pulte’s customer care group DOES NOT care.

Poor quality of contractors and workers, Homes sites were not kept clean as well as the interior of the homes were filthy. There was no respect for the buyers home and options put in the house. Home was drywalled before they stuccoed resulting in water damage and multiple replacement of dry wall. Mold on roof trusses. Pulte would have left the house with wet dry wall and mold if we hadn't been in Florida to watch the build. If I'm being honest, I found the builder rushed the whole process and was far too intransigently rigid, from the time I won the bid to the time the home was eventually completed (behind schedule). And no one ever bothered to provide me with details of the process, incl. Design Center expectations, or HOA requirements (such as finishing the backyard within 6 months). The builder prematurely set a "finish date" (before end of November), but they still didn't have the home ready on the date they set. There was no “ wow” factor in this new house. The builder forced us to close earlier than we were originally scheduled for and we wound up having to complete many projects that the builder did not finish. Our trees and bushes were dead or dying, a/c system inoperable, doors with no locks, no access to cable television, shoddy electrical work, and many more issues we’re still dealing with. It boggles our minds why they couldn’t wait two more weeks and present us with a finished product.

These times are unique but the true mark of reputable builder is one who is able to manage the entire building process despite them which far is from our experience. Shifting the blame to others for your end results is inexcusable and only poor management.

Very Disappointed in the construction of my home

My construction was delayed and resulted in me having to stay in a rented residence more than 3 months @ $2350. Pulte has ignored my request for reimbursement. The house was not finished properly and my construction contact was not very helpful. He accused me of causing damage to a bathroom tile which is untrue. Refused to help . Very disappointed in the way the house was completed.

While we're happy to have moved in and for the most part (the big things) the house is ok there are TONS of little things that need to be addressed. In addition, we've had to have numerous items fixed and then re-fixed because they weren't fixed correctly the first time. We're now 2 months in and still have numerous issues with no real end in sight since things keep getting delayed and incorrectly fixed. Overall we're rather disappointed and for what we paid, we expected much better quality and better response to issues.

Realtors did not DISCLOSE ALL FACTS. And when showing them the mortgage documents, they didn't know how to read them. Said that they "were wrong". It was a $30,000 difference! I've been in the real estate industry for many years. I need to give them a crash course in how to read a mortgage loan statement and to advise them that they have an ethical obligation to DISCLOSE EVERYTHING UP FRONT. And if you don't know something, admit it. Don't say "the bank is wrong". I was not told of the extra $195 to Town of Tradition either or the controverial path. Workmanship is very poor. It is a rush job and the home was 90+ days past the original close date. Quality of materials is cheap. I had 4 construction managers and the hand offs were terrible. I am having warranty issues and am told to wait until I get to a year for these items to be addressed.

The home we had Pulte build and we bought two months ago was not move-in ready. It looked ready during our 20 min walk through prior to closing. Once we were in the house the next day, we realized the dishwasher wasn't securely attached and the cabinets have since been falling apart. We had a list of 32 items that needed attention and repair. We did receive follow-up to look at the issues and resolve.

Why doesn't Del Webb (Pulte) and other large company builders show their reviews on their sites like other businesses do? Think about it. These surveys are only helpful to perspective home buyers, not to people who have already built. It might make for a better building experience for both buyer and builder if the builder knew the good or poor results were being more predominantly shown on their own site. Again, think about it. Purchased home in June 2021 and were hardly ever keep informed of the progress. We were told we would have a walk-through after installing our electrical which never occurred and are having several electrical problems. Pulte has nice floorplans and offer some very nice features with the houses that they sell however, the quality of Much of the work is subpar and very disappointing. The mortgage acquisition experience and the customer service after closing were deplorable. I have construction plaster on every corner of my house interior, the plumbing has been an ongoing nightmare since I closed 5 and a half weeks ago. My shower dripped day and night for 8 days. I sent a list to the customer service team 6 days ago and haven't heard a word! My toilet paper is parked on the floor. My bathroom sinks don't hold water.

Unfortunately although we ended up with a very good field manager and a good sales person, the overall experience was much more stressful, than any of our other building experiences. This was not due to back-ordered supplies. That was to be expected. It was poor craftsmanship, lack of communication, lack of follow-up, and months after closing still waiting on work to be completed. Our advice would be to never close until all of the mandatory work is done because once you are turned over to Customer Care, you get lost in a vacuum and all you have is email which can easily be disregarded. ...
