Pulte Homes does NOT build a good quality home. Their product is terrible and the warranty process is ridiculous! Our air conditioner did NOT work because of it NOT being tested at time of build. Our clothes dryer plug was a refrigerator plug! Outlet wasn't even connected to a wire! And lots more but this gives an idea of the quality of our home. This is supposed to be a home built for an older person and our shower is the most dangerous concept...just STUPID! You have to step DOWN 4 1/2 inches to get into a shower pan...it's actually a 6 inch dropdown in the center by the drain. ...

Our project supervisor, Zach, has been WONDERFUL. If he can get things done, he absolutely does; if he can't it's because "his boss", "Pulte", has his hands tied. Our landscaping/grading of back yard is a mess - you can't grow grass on clay whether you water it or not. You can't walk on the lawn there are so many rocks underneath; I'm afraid I'm going to twist my ankle. The side of the house is pitched so steep you can't walk on that either. The quality of my home that was turned over to me was subpar to previous Pulte Home I had purchased in the past. My home was turned over to me with major roof issues and to date have not been repaired. My patio sliding door at closing would not properly close and lock. Construction Manager assured me repairs would be done ASAP. It took 3 weeks for repair company to respond due to poor response and follow-up from my Construction Manager. Overall this home buying process was very stressful and unpleasant. I will never purchase a Pulte home again.

Three weeks before our close date, the dishwasher was installed wrong, resulting in a flooded kitchen. Flooring and cabinets had to be reordered and installed, resulting in a 3-day delay on our closing. Sales office and rep was fine. Building was a disaster. Wrong tile in two bathrooms. Wrong cabinets in kitchen. Build manager tried to be good but his hands are obviously tied by corporate. Nice guy but just a puppet for corporate. Pulte lied to us about the issues until we came up with written proof. Poor quality- everything sloppy work. Doors arrive to Pulte not square- embarrassingly with a problem, Pulte says sorry that’s the way they come from supplier. Cheap and sloppy workmanship and toilets. Sorry but this is honest.

Having built 3 homes previously, with generally very good to excellent experiences, we were shocked at how horrible this building experience was and how disappointing the end result upon move-in was. I would not recommend Pulte unless you expect to miss the original delivery date by over 6 months, expect the quality of the workmanship to need extensive rework and the installed products to not meet your expectations even with upgrades.

Construction issues identified throughout the build would have gone uncorrected if I did not insist on fixes while walls were open. Settlement date was not negotiable even though the house was not completed. A certificate of occupancy was issued but should not have been. The inspection process seems to be shoddy. Construction supervisor, foreman, crews are unresponsive to fix deficiencies noted. Very unprofessional. Would not recommend this builder (Pulte) to anyone. They do not stand behind their product or process.

Poor quality of contractors and workers, Homes sites were not kept clean as well as the interior of the homes were filthy. There was no respect for the buyers home and options put in the house. Home was drywalled before they stuccoed resulting in water damage and multiple replacement of dry wall. Mold on roof trusses. Pulte would have left the house with wet dry wall and mold if we hadn't been in Florida to watch the build. If I'm being honest, I found the builder rushed the whole process and was far too intransigently rigid, from the time I won the bid to the time the home was eventually completed (behind schedule). And no one ever bothered to provide me with details of the process, incl. Design Center expectations, or HOA requirements (such as finishing the backyard within 6 months). The builder prematurely set a "finish date" (before end of November), but they still didn't have the home ready on the date they set. There was no “ wow” factor in this new house. The builder forced us to close earlier than we were originally scheduled for and we wound up having to complete many projects that the builder did not finish. Our trees and bushes were dead or dying, a/c system inoperable, doors with no locks, no access to cable television, shoddy electrical work, and many more issues we’re still dealing with. It boggles our minds why they couldn’t wait two more weeks and present us with a finished product.

These times are unique but the true mark of reputable builder is one who is able to manage the entire building process despite them which far is from our experience. Shifting the blame to others for your end results is inexcusable and only poor management.

My construction was delayed and resulted in me having to stay in a rented residence more than 3 months @ $2350. Pulte has ignored my request for reimbursement. The house was not finished properly and my construction contact was not very helpful. He accused me of causing damage to a bathroom tile which is untrue. Refused to help . Very disappointed in the way the house was completed.

While we're happy to have moved in and for the most part (the big things) the house is ok there are TONS of little things that need to be addressed. In addition, we've had to have numerous items fixed and then re-fixed because they weren't fixed correctly the first time. We're now 2 months in and still have numerous issues with no real end in sight since things keep getting delayed and incorrectly fixed. Overall we're rather disappointed and for what we paid, we expected much better quality and better response to issues.

Realtors did not DISCLOSE ALL FACTS. And when showing them the mortgage documents, they didn't know how to read them. Said that they "were wrong". It was a $30,000 difference! I've been in the real estate industry for many years. I need to give them a crash course in how to read a mortgage loan statement and to advise them that they have an ethical obligation to DISCLOSE EVERYTHING UP FRONT.
