Despite the beautiful location, be prepared to deal with lack of transparency and “bait and switch” pricing; base price (shell); lot size, location, and pricey upgrades (ceiling lighting; wall outlets; “finger pointing” regarding shoddy construction, poor quality, or defective doors, and high-end appliances. Challenges in reaching Customer Service, and lack of response. Be your own Advocate!

How bad the home was built

I am waiting on issues to be fixed yhat shouldn't have to. This is the worst home buying experience I have EVER had. There are number of repairs needed. The home was never cleaned before keys were released. There is no quality control. Throw them together and hand off the keys. No one cares.

I can't believe how bad Del Webb and Pulte screwed up my forever home. The issues are deep and systemic. Their procedures on dealing with these issues as well are a serious problem. I have floors w/ grout all over them after the install of tiles. Yet, for weeks I can't move in, and even today Feb 2 I sent another email asking when they will come out and fix this. NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quality of work is extremely poor in every aspect. Materials for exterior/ interior is of poor quality. Little to no communication with anyone from Pulte. Pulte gives you only 30 days from closing to file issues or problems on your home. It is stressful enough just moving in without having to worry about your 30 day notice from Pulte. Do you think Pulte will fix those issues or problems in 30 days?

They just keep selling although they are way, way, behind on fixing the "punch lists" of almost everyone who has built in the past year. Items ordered for replacement being diverted to complete new houses. Senior construction people leaving in droves as the stress of trying to offer some semblance of customer service deteriorates further and further. Class action suits being filed and more and more are joining every day. Hard to believe that this can end any way but badly. We're selling while prices are high and before the whole thing implodes. Do yourself a favor and don't build a Pulte home.

What a mess. The care they take while building your home is well below any expectation I would have expected. They don't cover anything. My cabinets are nicked, the countertops are scratched, the workmanship is well below normal. My floors were so dirty I had to call a tile company to come and clean them. My carpet is stained and I have to live with it. If you decide to build with Pulte, do yourself a favor and don't upgrade anything. Do it after you take ownership. This was by far the worst experience I have ever been through.

There is a list of 40 damaged or improperly finished items in our house. I wouldn’t recommend building here. Poor workmanship . Materials are sub par. You pay more per sq ft than the house is worth. They don’t follow up with any punch list items.

Do not trust the builder. The workmanship on the house is poor and the builder has not been responsive about the issues. I have lived in the house almost 2 months and I still don't have a garbage can. Only 1 issue has been addressed since I moved in. They promise to address the issues, but they have not.

This is a terrible builder that does not honor contracts

Our experience with this builder has been terrible. We urge everyone to stay away from them. Weeks after completing the purchase of the home numerous items remain to be completed and all we get are excuses. These were all items identified well in advance of closing and we were told during the final inspection that they would be completed the week following closing. Nothing but lies. After agreeing to purchase the home the builder basically stopped working on it for weeks, which delayed our move.

The quality of our Pulte home is the most expensive yet lowest quality home we have built out of 5 new home builds over 35 years.

Even many of the upgrades still are cheap materials. The workmanship is a zero out of 5 stars. The drywall and texture in every corner looks like a 6 year old did the work. The paint is so watered down that you need to repaint the inside of your house right away. The cabinets are cheap and half of them don't close properly. The brand new bathroom countertops came scratched and lare so cheap that I am afraid to put anything on the counter. Del Webb/Pulte sales staff has slick marketing and friendly folks to sell their product. As we waited over the next 6 months, we heard nothing other than from the money people wanting to make sure we paid. Our "celebration walk" (looks great in the video, smiling customers, clean home, etc.) was a DISASTER. We would be very hesitant to recommend Pulte Builders as a quality builder. There were so many disastrous situations we experienced during our build. Unfortunately, some of our problems have yet to be resolved. It's a real shame when you spend nearly a half million dollars on a home that you THINK is going to be a quality build, and it turns out that shortcuts and poor quality workmanship are the standard. So very disappointed in what we thought was going to be our "dream home."

By far, the worst new house purchase I've ever made - this is my fourth. Pulte can speak of quality, but there is no evidence of quality in my house. And the design oversights are astounding. The house was not ready for us to move into on our closing date on August 3. The floor tile was defective and the builder knew this 30 days before closing, the carpet was badly stained from muddy shoes and needed to be replaced. The kitchen vent shroud was installed poorly and totally unacceptable. We were told that we could not move into the house for 30 days after closing due to these construction defects. It is now 70 days after our closing and we are still waiting for the kitchen shroud to be installed and the correct dryer to be delivered. We are still waiting on payment for ...

Our experience was not at all what we were promised. Finding out someone had put a cigarette out in our walk-in shower to finding a banana peel hanging in the spare room closest. The workmanship for the price we paid is very poor. We have had numerous issues with getting things complete. Commutation with our field manager is awful. We should not have to be the ones to contact people in order to have things fixed.
