Sales office and rep was fine. Building was a disaster. Wrong tile in two bathrooms. Wrong cabinets in kitchen. Build manager tried to be good but his hands are obviously tied by corporate. Nice guy but just a puppet for corporate. Pulte lied to us about the issues until we came up with written proof. Poor quality- everything sloppy work. Doors arrive to Pulte not square- embarrassingly with a problem, Pulte says sorry that’s the way they come from supplier. Cheap and sloppy workmanship and toilets. Sorry but this is honest.

They lie to you about everything to sell you the home they change anything they want but we can’t change anything if I knew I could not screen in front porch I would not have built here the only thing good I can say is the warranty people are great

Builder is inflexible. Talk about quality process but it is anything but. The house itself is solid but the finish work is terrible. Lots of promises not followed through. Lack of coordination and poor scheduling process. Multiple things not done correctly the first time. Too many unskilled workers and inconsistencies.

Extremely Stressful and Disappointing Building and Move-in Experience

Poor quality trade workers brought in so work is poor. Tiles on floor uneven where a toe bumps them. Poor drywall and paint work. Tiles left with grout, paint, pencil marks all over. We have had a terrible experience. Our first inspection was scheduled for Jan 16, 2023 and when we came in from Albuquerque we found out the supervisor had gone out of town, had not let us know and we had to reschedule for the next Thursday, costing us extra money and time to be in Texas. Very poor fit and finish to interior and exterior of these homes. Pulte promises follow-up for fixes, but it's been weeks since we had response to requests for warranty repairs. Sales staff are poorly informed about what they are selling. Construction management is overwhelmed and non-responsive. Do not buy into Del Webb at Viera if you can avoid it. The quality of workmanship is horrible. The houses are slapped together. I would not recommend Pulte unless you expect to miss the original delivery date by over 6 months, expect the quality of the workmanship to need extensive rework and the installed products to not meet your expectations even with upgrades.

Pulte is ruining the Del Webb experience...and the brand

I did not buy a Del Webb home, I bought a Pulte home in a Del Webb community. Also, I do not own a "scenic 40", I own a "distinctive 50". It should be noted that Pulte now owns the Del Webb brand. Living in a Del Web community has been an incredible experience full of fun and new friends for many years. Having to suffer through the Pulte home building experience and dealing with what I call "Pulte quality" makes it hard to say it is worth it anymore. There is no customer service at Pulte. I cannot recommend anyone buy a Pulte home.

Beyond Disappointed

During the build, corners were cut. Plans were not reviewed and adhered to. The trusses needed to be altered and an engineering certificate had to be obtained because they had installed the wrong roof trusses for our home. If del webb wants happy home owners, start with the final touches and make sure the house is at least clean before telling them to close. The most disorganized company I have ever experienced and worked with! Pulte advertises “Quality” associated with their homes and what you get is far from that! Cheaply built homes! Their trades (sub contractors) are unskilled labor. The trades will tell you that - they show up, make $600 a day, no training required! Awful. I had to be hospitalized and checked myself a day early based on Pulte’s pressuring me. I did a walk through and didn’t notice corrections to be made. Now they want to walk away.

In any place in the home you will find something not level, damaged or missing. The lack of oversight and quality ensurance can be seen everywhere. When something is addressed to be fixed, don't expect it to be done right the next time but instead expect multiple attempts before something is completed to one's satisfaction.
