We bought in a Del Webb community in Vegas years ago and knew we would like Sun City Mesquite. We have not been disappointed. The community is beautiful and our neighbors have been wonderful.

The quality of the stucco finish on my house is really poor. Everything else is acceptable.

Have faith in all the people involved with the process from the sales department to the design center and of course the builder , and yes they follow up and thru .

David has been very responsive and helpful

Hire your own inspector.

One issue was the bathroom. The shower door hit the door when opened so changed door to an accordion door. Superficial cracks on back patio had to be filled in.

Ask questions if you're not sure!

Make sure your sales associate keep you updated on changes that affect the sales agreement.

Right after move we found 1. front door lock was broken, 2. Furnace was not connected to gas pipe - heat was not working, found millions of ants that was eradicated at my expense, garage door was not going down - fixed at my expense, found spilled concrete on front hallway, entire driveway was not forced sprayed (clean) as others, found front lawn in very dried state including small tree was dying - very few leaves also the rest of grass around the house was very dried and brown. NOT impressed with total quality of house. Found too many fixes needed before move in, such as paint not finished, caulking missing in corners, some recessed lights missing..... ... More

The whole experience from start to finish was a good one. From the sales process, mortgage process and building process, this was by far the best and easiest home buying experience we have had. The deadlines we were told were met and we moved in right on time. There were a few workmanship issues like misplaced and mising doorstops, paint not completely done in a couple of areas, paint left on window frames, and stucco issues to name a few, but all the issues were minor and probably a result of the trades hurrying to meet the deadlines on a Friday night. Build quality is good. As with anything purchased that is a product of an assembly line manufacturing process, there will be issues. The Pulte group seems to be on top of any issues by prompt & so far, conscientious attention to issues brought to their attention. Feedback from issues reported is used to head off future construction issues. IF you don't report the issue it will not be rectified & Pulte will not be able to improve the product, YOUR home!

We had previously purchased a 3B / 3BR Dunwoody Way without a loft as a spec house but this is our first time through the entire build process. Our expectations were high based on our previous house. The first lot provided to us would not accommodate our house. So we had to get another lot which cost us a month delay. David C, our building supervisor, was available whenever required, welcomed our input, and was excellent in communicating the house build with us. There were several issues with the new house (please remember it’s easy to pick out the issues): (1) Could not have the interior painted a different color without incurring a $2000 cost for “improved paint quality” (although the Sherwin Williams store said the paint was the same quality, just a different color); (2) The AC compressor contacts were bad as delivered (took several complaints before it was verified faulty and replaced just before closing); (3) The heat did not work after closing (the technician said we were missing a “flame bar” which was a factory part); (4) It took an inordinate amount of time resolving a ceiling / crown molding issue in the sun room; (5) The trim work was really of low quality (done in a hurry rather than done right); (6) We had expected the house to be wired similar to our previous Dunwoody Way but it seems there were several changes we discovered in time to correct (specifically wiring of the island receptacles and the numerous holes made apparently to locate the wiring) and (7). There was a hole in the foundation in the front of the house that could have been repaired better. As I said, overall, we love the house and its construction. There are several design issues we would recommend Pulte consider changing but overall, we love the house. But I t’s taking a little more effort on my part than expected to bring the house up to what I consider appropriate for this level of house. ... More

Del Webb Dove Mountain is a beautiful subdivision located in the gorgeous Dove Mountain area just west of Tucson. Our Pulte/Del Webb home design and construction experience was excellent. We have a beautiful, well-built home in a community full of retired professionals from across the US. We could not be happier! I would have rated Del Webb with all fives but they need to work on paying attention to details. Our new home is well designed, well built and very good quality. However, there were minor punchlist items that could have been avoided if the subcontractors paid attention to detail. The front yard landscape contractor (Santa Rita Landscape) was especially poor and Del Webb should terminate their contact immediately. ... More

The builder Pulte did a horrible job building this brand new home. I have a list of repairs and a basement leaking water. I hope to work with them on repairs but if. not, I definitely would never recommend this builder!

Double check ALL the little things before you sign.

Lack of proper cleanup resulted in brown floor becoming gray. Spackling dust was not clean up. entire house needed a VERY needed cleaning. Very Disappointed

Take advantage of the getaway weekend. It was very helpful in making our decision.

We were pleasantly surprised and very pleased with the overall experience of building a house with Pulte.

I like my home overall. I cannot believe the low quality of the front door to my home. You can seer light coming in around it. My building manager was scheduled to come back after closing to work on it, but did not show up. I have not yet had time to contact warranty. It is a very poor quality installation and a very low quality product to begin with. I am also unhappy with the sod installation in my back yard. Overall we are enjoying our home with the above noted exceptions.

I’m a second time DelWebb/Pulte buyer, having lived in my previous home for 16 years. Recommend buying for long lasting home quality.

Home is attractive and comfortable. Some workmanship was quite good, such as tile work.However, quality of paint and paint workmanship was not what I hoped. Most fixtures are fine, but some (toilet seats, for example) were What I perceived as very entry level.I'm not unhappy, But I paid a lot and Didn't get "wowed" as much as I expected.

Was not able to attend pre-closing walk through but was able to be there for 3 days the week following closing. While there I found no power in half the kitchen receptacles{which has been fixed} and no power in both baths{which hasn't}. I spent 2 hours cleaning paint splatter off floor so grout could be sealed which had to be done after closing. This makes no sense whatsoever. There is a gouge in the drywall, front door weatherstripping problem, sprinkler head by front door problem, something was dropped on the kitchen sink leaving a mark and the concrete apron in front of the garage looks like a 10 year old did. Not even at the home yet so no telling what else needs attention but based on my first 3 days I'm sure it will be something. I will say if I had to do this all over I would have serious reservations. ... More

From selecting a lot to choosing finishes this was a simple, painless and exciting process. This is our fifth house and the easiest buying process and the most beautiful!

Workmanship is below average. Warranty is the worst I have experienced among builders. Submitted several warranty requests and received either no response at all or a very slow response. WIll no choose Pulte again. Title company that represents Pulte Homes in Orlando had incompetent individuals who were not even able to answer questions the legal description. In fact, they recorded several deeds with incorrect legal and had to file for corrective deed later on.
