Lack of follow up for move in issues

A number of items needed to be addressed after move in. We have had 2 Builders (superintendents) transferred out of this project. The lack of finish quality is a real disappointment. I am hoping the Del Webb (Pulte) follows up and corrects the problems. So far they have not become engaged.

Many issues to resolve

Home was left dirty for us. Attic above garage not insulated. Wiring issues. Multiple paint spots on carpet. Dishwasher hose not connected causing water leak. Overspray and missed paint on exterior. Missed dimmer switches. Multiple scratches in glass panels. Entry gate installed backwards causing stucco damage. Attic light is always on with no shutoff. Dryer vent on roof has no cover allowing rain to flow into dryer. Multiple paint touch up spots inside home. Had to turn on garage lights to make laundry room lights work. The only item to be addressed in the last six weeks since we moved in ...

New home needs a lot of work

Major issues found upon move in. Builder is months behind and can’t fix. These are not warranty issues the issues are sloppy workmanship and DelWebb not supervising their contractors to assure of a quality home build. This is our fourth home build. We are very disappointed in the final product.

Disappointing

From the time we signed the contract, it was all downhill. Communication from our salesperson Bobby G was scant and not helpful sending us to website for needed info that we could not get access to because we did not close yet. We had 3 field managers. The first one was focused on his promotion not our house. The second one seemed good but left for another company. The third was new. He tried but did not make the mark. Thoroughly disappointed.

On June 1, 2020 I received an email from your customer care manager stating July 2nd. between 8 and 4 my punch list items would be addressed. I waited ALL DAY for two people to come. One sprayed the track in the 2nd. bedroom window to make it easier to use and one aligned my laundry room doors. ALL DAY to have insignificant items addressed while the important items were not. I'm STILL WAITING. My closing was March 30, 2020. It is rude, unkind and very unsettling to feel totally ignored. Stop blaming COVID for your unprofessionalism.

Builder growing pains

It's been my experience any time you have a new community the contracted builder has marching orders to build so many homes per month. The builder is only as good as the sub contractor's they employ. 99% of the time there are no sub-contracting supervisors to monitor the daily work of their employee's doing the installs. Usually there is only an on site company superintendent who oversees the building process. If the sub contracting employees don't have pride in their craft, you wind up with shoddy workmanship. I'm also a remodeling contractor & have built 4 homes. I own Kal's Contracting & Plumbing. The homes are over priced for the finishes you provide. Poor communication. No response to warranty items submitted on the owners website. The only thing I would recommend is the location of the neighborhood. This development needs more people working for it like the job supervisor Daryl.

We move in March 25th. Understand the virus but we have been linking with MANY issues that could have been resolved without coming inside. Issues are from not lights, missing kitchen shelves, Magyar ari conditions issues, quality issues all over...... very disappointed.

Shoddy workmanship and non-responsive to issues

Very disappointed in the quality of the home and the communication from Del Webb. Issues identified prior to move-in have not been resolved 3 months later, no plantings or sod around home, numerous issues with shoddy workmanship including paint on carpets, counter top that's cut wrong, scratches in cabinets, etc. and so far a clubhouse delay by 4 months

Far below standards of the three homes we've built over the past forty years

Very poor finish work, gouged concrete drive, drive and walkway has never cleaned, holes in walls patched and spackle not matched, backing not installed to mount towel racks, toilet paper rolls and shower grab bars. Low quality cabinets, dents in cabinet doors bath room door. Sod poorly insralled, standing water in back yard. Floor tiles not cleaned etc. Need I continue?

Very Poor Warranty Service

We have now been requesting repair work since we moved in at the end of November, 2019 and we are still waiting. We have talked to your people, sent emails, etc. with nothing but promises in return that are not being kept. Completely unsatisfactory. We were told that Del Webb had quality homes and always stands by their homes which is why we decided to buy the home. We have seen nothing of that. We hope that our issues will be resolved soon and if not, I would like to speak the CEO or President of Del Webb. Thank you.

This purchase was quite a nightmare. There was many delays, poor craftsmanship and materials not to our standard for the cost of them. As a disabled veteran on a budget it was hard to see the upgrades they charged excessively for although were needed for my safety. We were to far in to look elsewhere. If we could have we probably would have went a different direction. We love the area.

After a nightmare with closing we still have paint on the carpet. Holes in kitchen cabinets. Paint coming off outside trim. Loose window screams. Stain on walls. Very disappointed and feel as if I wasted my money. Would never buy from Pulte or in a community with them as a builder.

Poorly managed contractors. Allowing for mistakes and carelessness. I’m certain it would be worse if we weren’t on site to question problems. Even then managers didn’t address poor finish details. Paid inspector found serious items like framing issues...

Not what we thought

As we are in our new home from Pulte we are seeing the REAL quality of our home. We thought we were getting a quality built home, but things like the painting on the outside & inside was a just a rushed job. The quality of the cabinets are poor, even though they were expensive. The drywall was done poorly & the grouting of the tile we are still trying to get fixed! After you close, you cannot get the person you were working with for repairs to call you back to get the work completed, our work supervisor. At this point we are totally dissatisfied with the way we are being treated.

Buying a new home should never be the horrific experience that it was for me. Too many delays. The lack of gas meter installation caused a major delay which caused me to have to live in a hotel for 2 weeks and pay a lot of money for storage of my personal belongings and pet care. Unhappy customer

The whole process of building a house with Pulte at Sun City was very frustrating! Nobody was responsible for anything and we were constantly ignored: no pre-drywall walk through either even if they clearly states it as one of two they do and we sent them MANY emails and texts! The only person who tried to make things better was Jon, our last field supervisor. But he came after the house was completed. A few days after we closed on the house, there was water leak from the ceiling, but the supervisor for plumbing said ‘it happens’!
