We’ve built 5 homes in our lives. This was by far the best and quickest experience. They certainly have the whole process down pat. We are very happy with our home.

Some of this is communication. I may call to check up on an issue and find someone is coming out but I didn't know it since I didn't need to be there. I get shuffled person to person on follow-up. Follow-up is not timely. I can handle scheduling for the future but I need to know and not be left with the impression someone will respond right away.

Process of contracting for the home through closing went smoothly. Had a great site supervisor that kept me updated pus salesman that sent me progress pictures each week. In house for one month and all systems working fine. Had some questions about how certain things work but Bret Rodhe was always aailable to answer them.

The whole process of purchasing and building this home was seamless, despite living a long distance from the site. Weekly phone updates, photos, and open lines of communication with our sales consultant and field manager were critical for making us feel invested in the process. Of considerable help for us was to thoroughly research buying/design selection options on the Del Webb website prior to visiting to purchase, especially if you don't live in the vicinity. Many decisions are required within a short period of time after purchase, so being familiar with design options and being prepared to make those selections was extremely helpful. ... More

Total lack of attention to detail.

I Purchased a model home and was very pleased with the whole process. Sales office did great in working out pricing and the short list of repair items before I moved in. They were done in a timely fashion and I’m really enjoying it.

Patience. More rules than you may like.

Quality of construction not what I’m used to House extremely noisy no sound insulation. Paint job is horrible repainting interior of house.

In the sales office the process is presented as easy and fast. The closing date had to be changed twice do to lack of cooperation between my bank and Pulte's multi-business agencies. Unless you have a really good reason to use an outside lender, it may be best to just use Pulte Mortgage. Will probably save you time if not money. After living in the home for a few months, the minor faults begin to show. We bought a home that was already completed where the builder decided which extras to install (or leave out. The floor tiles are not easy to clean because of the deep grout. We did not want rugs in the bedrooms. The countertops are not smooth, so they feel dirty when you run your hand across them. There are no handles on the doors or drawers in kitchen and bath. The landscaping is also not to our taste. I would advise that you as buyer make those decisions and get what you really want. The responsiveness to issues that we emailed has been less than fast. The HOA rules were given to me on a CD which wouldn't open to view. I requested a paper copy but did not receive one until after closing. Definitely make sure you know all about that before you buy. You may not like some of the limitations. Still I'm satisfied with the house overall. Love the amenities, the friendliness of the fellow residents, and the helpfulness of the DWO staff at the clubhouse. ... More

Pulte was very easy to work with and we are pleased with their service.

Homes are being built too fast and workers are foregoing quality. We've had many issues and the most major issue will involve re-pouring the concrete for our front porch. We've been assured having to repour will not cause problems with the foundation of our home, but we are skeptical. Items we asked to be addressed in walk through were not addressed and now we are dealing with them through the punch list process. We had multiple dry wall patching issues. Paint used is like a primer and not a glossy finish making them very susceptible to markings and no way to wipe them down. Plywood just pulled apart in the attic and not cut. Water standing in our front yard where the in ground water meter is continues to be an issue. We are told grading it out will help. Overall we are not feeling we received good value for our dollar. The homes seem cheaply built and corners seem to be getting cut. I would highly recommend someone from Pulte/Del Webb check out how quickly home homes are being built. Many of our neighbors have expressed similar dissatisfaction. One neighbor is a contractor and he is managing things by fixing them during the home build as things go....not something I know Pulte would want happening, but he wants his home done right. ... Easy to work with. Kept in constant communication during construction.

All doors were not installed to close properly. Cut 2 holes in outside wall for stove vent.

After seeing homes being built here I have to say that the entire process is top notch from the ground up.

Make sure you get what you are told and what you see in your model

The home generally is beautiful. The deal was good, People is helpful . We found some little issue in new building as usual , but del Web send team to cover it . So far We are happy with our new home.

People are friendly and wiling to help you with your questions and concerns.

We couldn't be happier with our Del Webb building experience! Totally impressed with the quality of workmanship and attention to detail. Our new house is everything we had hoped for and this is a direct result of the time and effort put in to the building process to ensure it was exactly what we asked for, how we wanted it look, and in the time frame promised us. First class all the way!!

Used the cheapest materials possible. When I spend $700K for a home I do not expect to have replace things like door knobs, garage doors, repaint all the walls, etc. in the first six months. If they had spent an extra $20K they could have made it a quality house. Also garage is so tiny that if you park two cars, you can’t open the car doors. Driveway is so short you can barely park a car on it. Streets are so narrow the county is going to impose a no parking restriction because emergency vehicles can’t get through. It is obvious they used the cheapest materials and cut corners everywhere. Very disappointing! ... More

I am loving my new home. It is absolutely perfect for me. So far, I have found the workmanship to be excellent. The floor plan is innovative and very efficient. Since I was downsizing, I was afraid I had brought too much stuff but surprisingly I find that I have plenty of storage in this house, As much kitchen stuff as I have, there was a place for all of it. This kitchen is one of the most efficient I have every seen. I do wish they had an option for built in ovens so they are at eye level but other than that, I love the kitchen. My friends that have visited all say they have "house envy". And one of them has already bought the exact same floor plan for me right around the corner. All the neighbors are great and there is so much going on here that you don't ever have to be bored or lonely unless you just choose to be. This was a good decision for me. ... More

I have been very happy with everything

When purchasing a home, we are often caught up in the joy of the moment. Time and time again, we view the models, bring friends and loved ones to get their reactions, hoping to make a purchase. Where we go wrong as potential buyers is that we forget to look at the overall construction and time spent in building our home. It is no surprise that when we do our walk through, we are caught up in the moment, just wanting to get in. The nightmare starts when we realize that there are so many problems, from leaks, poor installs, grout errors, poor paint matches, out of alignment windows, and just sloppy workmanship that we will spend the better part of 8 weeks stuck at home waiting for repairs that should have been done correctly in the first place. Listen and talk to others in Del Webb communities before you go with a builder who produces inferior builds. It's your home, make sure it is built with integrity. ... More
