Whenmeeting with the building supervisor, we realized the quality and care that went into our new construction. We were actually lucky for buying when we did because we got many updated features that were not included before.

Maureen was a great sales rep and Lance was unbelievable good project manager. Also Donna and Denise did outstanding jobs thru the process

Last August my wife was helping a friend find a place to move from Denver. They did a stay-and-play, and when my wife returned home, she said that she wanted to join the Del Webb SCHH community. In October we flew down so I could check the place out - and we signed on the spot. The selection process is semi-customizable, as there’s always a choice of small, medium and large within lot size, house size, and choice of finishes. We were happy with our choices, and how the house turned-out. Key to our satisfaction was our assigned construction manager who kept us informed every step along the way, and wanted to make sure things were perfect before closing. With Del Webb’s construction warranty, it’s better for them to fix things up front, rather than later. We chose to be the pioneers in a new major expansion of an existing community. We were aware that our adjacent amenity center would be completed about 18 months after our close - no problems - there are already six other pools in the community to drive our golf cart to visit. Process went very smoothly with no surprises and no unexpected delays.

Yes, competent, honest and experienced

We really enjoy the layout and design features of our new home and the modern conveniences that came with it. Even though we have experienced issues with workmanship and material, Del Webb has respond quickly.

Expectation set of six months to build. Reality was 12 months. I understand this is getting better now. Small issues were taken care of quickly

We dreamed big, kept it real, and they got it done! Despite a global pandemic, supply chain challenges across the country, a national worker shortage, and the highest inflation in 40 years, we are in our Del Webb home, and we love it. No sugar coating...this was a tough time in the home construction industry and our supervisor Mike P. delivered. There are punch lists with any new home build and our team dealt with them professionally and in a timely manner under tremendous stress due to outside economic and workforce challenges. The quality of the structure is very good but some of the finishes leave room for improvement. The field manager, Zach, was great! He always responded in a timely manner & remedied the issues. Some of the issues relate to the lack of labor availability…a sign of the times.

Overall I am satisfied with my new home in Del Webb Sun City Hilton Head. As far as a well built home it’s hit and miss, some of the work appears to be done by experienced craftsman while other work shows the results of inexperienced overworked migrant workers. These homes are built on a concrete slab which I am told should cure for a month before constructed upon. Del Webb/Pulte starts framing the next day or two after pouring the concrete. I home I don’t pay for that down the road with settling.

We signed the contract to build our home in late February pre-pandemic. Despite the COVID challenges, our home was completed on time. There remain a few issues to be resolved, but for the most part everyone has been responsive.

The builders were very responsive to my questions and identification of issues.

It is better if you are close to where the home is being built to stay on top of the project

Wife and I love our new home. Just moved in 6 weeks ago. Very pleased with the performance of our Field Manager addressing several cosmetic issues after the closing.

As with any new home build there are always issues and /or concerns which were answered as best could be considering the different inspections. Living in the area during the build was VERY beneficial to see things that were of concern before too late.

When building a new home I strongly suggest a third party inspector and budget time and money to review the progress as much as possible.

The front end of the process; lot selection and purchase, moves quickly. It was helpful to have a secondary and tertiary option as property moves fast. Very little room for negotiations around price. Customization is not possible but there are some “standard’ modifications to choose from. The selection of options is limited and expensive so pick your uogrades wisely! The Construction Manager is THE key cog in the project. We were very fortunate to have the CM that was assigned to our build. Our CM was completely transparent during the build. We lived out of state and his communication's status meetings were outstanding!! He made it easy and for that, we are grateful. Lastly, be your own advocate in the process. No repair or replacement is too small. Plumb, level, and square are your best friends in the project. If you’re not totally satisfied, say something. For the cost, it should be perfect. ... More

Reliable builder that knows all the trades and process to make a good home. The original build had many problems, but after closing was able to re work issues out. They need more of doing it right the first time. Excellent support group.

Knowledgeable salesperson, great plans with lots of options made buying easy. Build process was explained well, and necessary changes were resolved as quickly as possible. Pleased with final results.

Beautiful home with large closets and bathrooms

Beautiful home. The interior design is what people rave about. Large kitchen with a huge center cooking island. Master bath walk-in shower is fantastic. Lots of options for the size of the porch/sunroom.

My wife and have only been in our home for 6 weeks, and had less minor “fixes” than some of our neighbors. I attribute that to our construction manager Jerry Little. He caught most of the minor problems and had them remedied before we moved in. He has also been very responsive to get the post move in problems fixed. As far as value for the money, the buyer high demand has allowed Pulte to set their prices, especially the options, a little higher than warranted. But that is the cost to moving into a vibrant retirement community. In summary, my wife and I are glad we moved here. Our neighbors great and fun. Every community has its little problems and nuances, but in the big picture it is very nice. ... More

We love our new home. It’s just what we were looking for. The work in the home didn’t quite live up to our expectations though. There is grout on the floor, tiles and cabinets in the master bathroom. The floor molding in areas wasn’t painted very well.

Cleanliness and finish work were less professional than I expected. A large number of paint splatters on wood floor, circles of paint on floor where paint can was set. Food flooring has flaws. Window sills, bathtub, sliding glass door tracks and other areas dirty. Front door not properly set. Gap under door lets wind howl through the house. Problems reported 4 weeks ago and work orders issued but not yet corrected
