Astonishing Poor Quality of Workmanship

We understood going into our purchase that we were making significant concessions with the quality of the materials on the house. What astonished us is the extraordinary poor workmanship. Uneven walls, unpainted areas, grout spilled on the flooring, gaps on the flooring, awful paint spills on walls and floors, worst drywall application I've ever encountered, bad concrete pour on the driveway, undersized HVAC for the square footage. The building process is very stressful. I would encourage anyone that is interested in living in Southern Springs to bypass the building process and purchase a home that has already been built.

Disrespect homebuyers opinions seems to be ONLY about the company's stance on everything. Make the profit, close the deal quickly, ignore buyer.

Very poor quality of workmanship. Poor paint job with paint stains all over floor, etc. Very poor grout work in bathroom tile. Contractors walking in house with muddy feet permanently staining concrete and grout. Broken cabinets. Plumbing and electrical issues. Wrong kitchen faucet installed. Microwave surround not installed.

Couldn't build a house without a caulk gun.

Over a month later I'm still waiting for a response to a response to correct the many construction issues that I reported. No one even came out to look. The only thing that was corrected were the electrical issues with a doorbell and a gfi outlet that didn't work. There paint is everywhere that it should be and is missing where it should be. It is obvious that Del Webb doesn't use skilled tradesmen. If the finished product looks this bad I'm wondering about the quality of house's construction that I can't see. If Del Webb used the same quality sod in the common areas and around their model ...

Disappointing experience!

Experience was too rushed as we were in the process of selling and moving out of our other home in another state. All the technology used by the company was difficult to understand for an elderly couple and it was difficult to complete the application process. Also, the sales agent misrepresented two different issues then blamed it on our lack of understanding him. My husband and our realtor were all present at the meeting and we all understood the same thing. It was very disappointing to find out at the closing that we did not get the things we had been promised.

Poor quality trade workers brought in so work is poor. Tiles on floor uneven where a toe bumps them. Poor drywall and paint work. Tiles left with grout, paint, pencil marks all over. Floors not protected properly during construction so chips, paint throughout house. Certain things requested at the beginning and they weren’t done and told too late to do it.. Garbage left around the house, beer cans. Finishes in the house didn’t match and they didn’t care. Windows poor quality as 4 windows had broken parts. This is a terrible builder that does not honor contracts

Our experience with this builder has been terrible. We urge everyone to stay away from them. Weeks after completing the purchase of the home numerous items remain to be completed and all we get are excuses. These were all items identified well in advance of closing and we were told during the final inspection that they would be completed the week following closing. Nothing but lies. After agreeing to purchase the home the builder basically stopped working on it for weeks, which delayed our move.
