The house is well built and people very nice bu ths has been the worst move in experience we have had. We were told we could have a virtual walk through. Day of sat waiting 2 hours then informed they did not have capability. Had to hurry and clean floors before movers got here. All other moves all do moments for appliances etc were laid out on a counter. We just finished finding documents. Waited yesterday for a confirmed scheduled repair. No show.

Overall a great experience through the build process. Pulte offers a comprehensive approach from construction to financing and home insurance. Their team has been very responsive to our warranty needs thus far as well.

This is our second DiVosta house at Island Walk. There were many “issues” with our first house and we were reluctant to purchase another DiVosta house but we really liked Island Walk so we decided to give them a second chance. The resulting experience, from design issues, quality of building products, attempts to rectify problems prior to and now subsequent to settlement has been frustrating at best. Whenever we identified design limitations (this second house is one of the most expensive properties in Island Walk) there was little if any attempts by the builders representatives to make corrections or to go that extra step to make helpful changes, even though the remediation would be relatively inexpensive. Our home is very nice and the few issues we encountered throughout the sales and building process were quickly addressed. Production building in a super heated market brings definite challenges. Both DiVosta sales and Pulte Construction staff are supportive, friendly and try their best to meet expectations. We are pleased with the outcome.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of construction and loved the built in features for pest control and attention to detail to minimize maintenance for the future. Our site manager did an excellent job keeping us informed throughout the build process and explained in detail all the construction details

Watching all the sub contractors as they build homes around us - they are forever measuring everything they do which shows in the home. We have been told DiVOSTA is one of the top builders in Florida and we feel completely safe with the high impact Windows and special weather coating they apply to the homes before they do the final painting! We look forward to living in our home for years to come.

With the current building frenze you have to watch and check on your houses progress almost daily In our opinion, some of the workmanship has gotten lower than our expectations. You have to clean up the property after the workers left everyday or those items will be buried in your yard. With DiVosta being a for profit corporation, items suffer because of costs related to profits. Combine this with the high demand for new homes we think that issues are more apparent.

First of all we had to tell construction the office window was off by three inches and not centered the double den doors. The framing in the shower was hanging over the shower pan three inches. An a nice note on the front block wall “ chip away” because the block was laid a little short as proven by the overhang in the shower pan 3”, the den window 3” off. All because the supervisor doesn’t check the jobs. Secondly the second story was supposed to be railing, they built the knee wall instead. We had to tell them to correct it. Thirdly the wood interior window sills were not level in two rooms. They were like that for months during construction until we told the supervisor to fix it. The issues in the field are caused by failure to walk the job and inspect the trades work. They damaged the garage floor with gaping holes probably from dropping scaffolding to the ground. We had to ASK them to fix it prior to closing so we can have the floor done before moving in. Many areas with crown molding awful work. We can tell non of the subs were forced to do a punch out And if they were asked it’s obvious no one checked the work Then we have the glorious walk of the house 7 days prior to closing. The walk agent placed tape on items we wanted marked down so that they can be fixed prior to closing 7 days later. Obviously the work was not completed and all of our markings were gone BUT THE DEFECT STILL THERE. Which means all those items prior to closing are now the responsibility of the customer service Warranty person. The customer service agent after closing is the only person who cared. Finally moved in and unpacked. We text both Supervisor of construction because I failed to get the direct phone number to Customer service agent. Neither construction supervisor even replied. We were not their problem any longer because we closed on the home. But to totally ignore someone was a joke. I have continued email tread keep asking and asking. And they both ignored each request. We lost The customer service agents contact info. You could be bleeding to death and those two would walk on by. We decided to report all the damaged toilet seats caused by people standing on them for 5 months. Only to be told it’s a cosmetic and not covered after 30days” Here we go!!! ... More

Well informed during the building process and questions were answered in a timely manner.

incorrect appliances, poor tile installation, terrible outlet and light switch placements. overall a terrible experience. if we didn't like the amenities of the community, we would have purchased elsewhere.

We selected a "move in ready" home and it indeed was...down to the last detail. We were paired with a project manager who has been a Plus in terms of responsiveness. So far, our feeling is that DiVosta Homes sold us a well built home in a lovely, sought after community. We look forward to spending many years here.

They do well communicating regarding timelines

Overall, pleased with the result. Some of the subcontractors were sub-pay and slapdash in their haste.

We did the entire buying process virtually, due to travel restrictions with covid. Communication was very good throughout. It helped to have a friend in the community, who sent us weekly pictures of our home, as it was being built. Very happy at Islandwalk!

Overall very pleased, some issues with pool that we are still dealing with almost 30 days after closing but I’m working directly with pool company and if not resolved I will go to Pulte. Pulte has been great to work with and being in the construction business I am impressed with how they are handling everything given the current challenges with COVID related delays and obstacles.

1. Ceiling not taped and bedded correctly 2. Walls not straight 3. Floors re "peaking" 4. Door molding 1/4 inch from floor filled with caulk 5. Painting had many drips 6. Molding not painted correctly

The home is beautiful! Non working toilet. Microwave pours out smoke. Windows don’t open. Waiting for correct refrigerator. Drywall and paint demonstrate poor workmanship. Requested tub with whirlpool. Denied. Required to purchase a tub I am unable to use. Sink drains do not hold water. Pulte Homes is trying to help with mechanical issues.

All aspects of my home building experience was exceptional. Shaun and his team kept me updated and the final walk-through was well organized. I highly recommend DiVosta Homes to anyone looking for a quality home with a customer service oriented team - you won't be disappointed!

It was mostly a positive experience.

Great local reputation as a builder helped us to make our decision to buy. They were very responsive, kept us updated and ensured we were satisfied during the sale, build and closure.

Very good initial experience with salesrep. Field manager kept us well informed during build process. But seemed they rushed through the final finishes to close before year end. Now we’re working through list of repairs that in our opinion should have been completed by builder before the close. They drove the ball down the field 95 yards but gave up on the 5 yard line ...

The final prep work was hurried to meet a closing date and many items were not completed properly requiring follow up scheduling and homeowner time. Sixty days after closing, no items have been completed.

They cut corners any time they can

Our home was finished earlier then originally planned. The builder was informative and available.

Good quality but everything is an additional option. They seem to have decided on what is best for them and just act on that. Plus options not well explained. Difficult to understand what the cost of options are. Not a good final inspection either as they missed standard promises - like outlet in the entertainment center not there & doorbell didn’t work. Minor comfort issues like minimal natural ventilation & needed door handles on large slider doors , plus no easy clean out for dryer vents a bad design. Tight quarters design, eg, garage doors could be just a foot wider for 2 cars & distance between homes just another foot would be better. Again, their philosophy is good enough, but not exceptional. For what you pay, I believe the standard options should be nicer. The follow up on installation check list was pretty responsive. ... More
