We knew we were building at a difficult time due to supply chain issues and labor shortages, but the experience was mostly positive. Our CM, Justin, was great through the process. Our salesperson, Linda, stepped in and got us through a few rough spots. Biggest negative was the closing process. Unrealistic expectations were set. Closing agents insisted we be ready to transfer funds when we knew closing was impossible. Seemed very one sided. Builder wanted there final payment at first opportunity without any regard for the planning necessary on the part of the customer. Never really knew when closing would finally happen until 48 hours before it actually did, and even then there was a fiasco about the C of O and a reluctance to release keys, even though builder had our money. Overall, the builders lived up to their reputation. Ramifications from COVID understandably contributed to delays in work and product availability timelines. The quality of the workmanship for particular finishes may reflect the time crunches caused by such delays or limitations in the skill of some workers.

Most of the work is great, but some of the contractors are sloppy and you need to be on top of them to get everything right.

The building of our home was completed "right on time"

There were a few minor issues (mostly cosmetic) before and since our closing a month ago but our construction rep before closing, Bill, and our post closing rep, Andreas, were, and are, very responsive and sincere about us wanting to be happy in our new home.

The project manager assigned to our home building project was very responsive and knowledgeable.

This is the fourth house we've built with DiVosta, and have always found them to produce a good product. Our home is comfortable and well-built. We have the whole house done in tile on the diagonal and the tile work is beautiful. Great job by the tile person! The best part of living in the community is the wonderful people - very friendly and cordial.

Well informed during the building process and questions were answered in a timely manner.

Overall very pleased, some issues with pool that we are still dealing with almost 30 days after closing but I’m working directly with pool company and if not resolved I will go to Pulte. Pulte has been great to work with and being in the construction business I am impressed with how they are handling everything given the current challenges with COVID related delays and obstacles.

Our DiVosta sales rep worked well with us and our realtor in maximizing savings on the purchase of our new home.

The construction of the home was completed as scheduled. There were, and still are some issues to be addressed. All items ordered were completed with the exception of epoxy coating on the garage floor. That oversite was rectified in time for our move in. The remaining open items are to be addressed by the warranty crew.

This is our first new home and everyone has been responsive to any problems we encountered.

some options are WAY over priced

We just got a big townhouse and I was here watching the construction every week and daily at the end, and these buildings are built well. Solid. Our foreman Andrew was great! That said I have been here two months and the appliances have had to be checked out because they weren't working well, the standard carpet looks about 2 years old (I get its standard, but at this price point the standard should at least make it a year), and of course there is a list of other things that need to be fixed from the warranty department which is annoying. Though nothing major. I will say that the worst part is Pulti Mortgage. If you can pay cash, do it. They give you a credit to use them that basically covers the closing cost, but they were a mess. From the first time we entered the sales office until the day of closing, we loved our experience. Our sales rep Christy was absolutely THE BEST. After that we met, and got to know our pm Ky. Again The best to work with as he was responsive to our questions. Lastly, Angelina, our warranty representative, was also not just reactive to our needs but was easy to deal with and seemed very good at her job of scheduling and coordinating our warranty issues. The downside of our experience was/ is the poor quality of the drywall and paint. It seems that the painters did zero prep and simply slapped paint unevenly on the walls. No wall sanding, no wood sanding and pitiful quality. After 50 years in construction, I thought I had seen it all but if Divosta hired properly qualified painters, warranty issues would be minimal. There are some larger issues but Angel seems to be addressing them in a positive manner and with a smile. Christy and Ky remain and still, after closing, respond to any items we wish to discuss, these three are the main reason for the high reviews while almost exclusively, the painting is the reason for the less than stellar review on the finish ... Divosta built my house in about 6 months. Very exciting process from beginning to end. A little disappointed with the project manager that oversaw my construction. He was no longer there at the end and there were issues that it was too late to be resolved. Other issues were resolved immediately by the quality manager. My advice is to stay on top and ask as many questions as possible to your PM if you are not sure.

My sales person and construction manager were outstanding and easy to communicate with. The closing went very smoothly, and so far the warranty people have been responsive to the few issues I have had. I do believe that there should be a credit given for appliances if you wish to have your own favorite brands installed. And a couple personal peeves of mine is that the "texturing" of the walls is terrible. Also there is no choice except for flat paint for finishing walls. Otherwise the basic construction of the house is rock solid, the general layout of the neighborhood was very well thought out and the amenities are great. ... More

We built a home in Florida while living in another state. We received pictures on the build as major changes occurred. This was exciting to us. There were no major items wrong with the house when it was finished. Several small issues but all are being worked.

Our Project manager was awesome and extremely helpful and responsive. Community is great

Being new to buying a newly built home, entering the shopping experience was intimidating, especially when coming from 1000 miles away. During varying experiences in viewing area developments SW Florida we encountered a down-to-earth salesman at one of the last developments we searched, following a long detailed online search. The salesman at BeachWalk at Manasota Beach greeted us genuinely, giving us plenty of time to delve into the many questions we had. Beau gave us a fully immersive view of the area using an online view- which he did better than anyone I had seen. This gave us precise answers as we sat in his office. He then took us out to view the construction area in a golf cart, pointing out the various areas we had viewed from a computer screen. And finally he convinced us we indeed could afford this endeavor and confirming our hopes. The buying process was fairly easy, especially using online documentation 1000 miles away. I found the BeachWalk development well thought-out, benefiting from DiVosta's vast experience in creating such developments. The home options were extensive and the designing process complete. I expected far more confusion and questions during the whole process of buying a new home 1000 miles away. We moved to the area as the home was just being started, enabling us to view the building process up close and personal. Being this was just after a hurricane had impacted the area, the building trades and supply lines were detrimentally impacted. Nonetheless, work continued and we were able to view the effectiveness of the design features of our new home in combating the threat of hurricanes and other natural disasters. This made me feel comfortable in moving here and the subsequent value of updated building codes, especially in cost of insurance. The home construction was well planned and mostly on time considering the obstacles- again a benefit of a large corporation in acquiring staff and material very much in demand. Our construction manager Justin was very responsive as the building progressed. I have been pleased with the end result and response to any finishing details encountered along the way. There are some trees in the backyard poorly placed. The reason was it is designated there by it blocks the back view of the house.
