Lackluster Experince

The overall building process was very slow even understanding there were material delays. Our home went for extended periods of time where nothing was being done simply due to improper scheduling of trades. Upon inspection of our home we found shorty craftsmanship and carelessness from the subcontractors. Plumbing piping to the main drain was broken underground causing overflow downstairs 4 days after moving in, bowed doors were installed causing the closet to not open properly, towel racks fell off the walls from crappy mounting, faulty breakers had to be replaced to make the microwave work, ...

We have a list of things that need to be repaired/repainted/cleaned and we were told it would be 4-6 weeks to address. It’s been 2 months so far and only a handful of the issues have been taken care of.

My experience with the Sales Representative Linda was very good! She did a fine job! My Field Manager Nadine, was excellent. I have to say, she was on top of everything & everyone! She is a very hard worker & has to tolerate a lot of nonsense & disrespect from many ignorant people! The Builder should respect the fact that these two women do their job right! It's very sad that they have to cover the Builder's Back for their Contractors SHOTTY work to begin with in order to CLOSE on house!! I lived in my house for 1 month with DEAD plants out my door before they were replaced! I have an ...

Our sales rep was fantastic. Honest, knowledgeable, efficient, and always available. Our construction supervisor also fantastic. I come from a construction background- the workmanship on the floors & the trim work was horrendous. Sloppy, unacceptablel

The pool & pool deck was perfect. Roof, exterior stucco & soffit were top notch. Inside, the walls and ceilings were excellent. The tile floors, shower floors, and trim work were horrible. Shoddy craftsmanship for the price of this home. Corner joints that didn't match up, with much too much caulk to hide the mistakes. One of the worst grout jobs I have ever seen (have quite a bit of experience in construction). Finishing jobs like this would NEVER be accepted up in the where I came from.

DiVosta is building a tract home. Don't try to make any changes no matter how minor. If it is not on their option list, forget about it. Make sure any issues on pre-closing walk-through are documented, and photographed. After purchase follow up repairs are not timely. Finally, I suggest that one not use Pulte Mortgage. I had to repeatably submit the same document, use a highlighter for the underwriter to see the requested information. I finally gave up and went elsewhere for funds.

My family and I recently bought a house through DiVosta. If I were to say it was the best experience I’ve ever had, it would be a lie. Building through DiVosta is an experience I never want to experience again. I was expecting things would be handled by the builder and my realtor, but this was not my experience. I had to check on the house almost everyday to make sure everything was going appropriately. Very poor communication on issues that came up during the build, and even when it came time for closing, the process was atrocious. I have never been so stressed. There were even ...

Had issues the first day with AC, coil replaced. back again 2 weeks later with a freon leak. These things happen and they responded with some prodding because it was a weekend. First time we use washing machine the sewer line is plugged. again these things happen but should have been addressed before closing with any kind of quality control.

We live in NJ, visited and bought a 'spec' home at IslandWalk in West Village in mid-March. We'll be snowbirds.Due to COVID and Divosta contract, we were forced to close remotely without actually being able to see our completed home. We're told it came out nicely, but we've not yet seen it except in pictures and video provided by our real estate person.. We're hoping to visit in mid-September-COVID permitting.

The tiles are uneven. None of the outlets in the bathrooms work. Concrete drips are all over the floor. Beautiful home. Great neighborhood. Terrible consultant, Brent in particular is a used car salesman. The new manager of his is a very nice lady. She’s helpful. Look out for hidden fees.

Poor communication with process of build, closing was several hours and keys were lost along with gate access passes. Work is sloppy. Inside baseboards are primed but not painted, bathroom shower knobs mismatched and shower not working. AC not working, paint is sloppy and not flat. Kitchen electrical is not working right. Very bad smell in house and your workers stated there is something dead and rotting in the walls. Ac not working. Worked with several project managers that were all not familiar with the work or the process.

I am disappointed in the grout work on the tile. Divosta tried to fix it, but it should have been down right the first time. Some one stroke two of my paint samples and items that came with my dishwasher and washer/dryer. Divosta has yet to give me the stolen paint and other items! Just stay on top of them while you are building your house!!!

Have a list off about 20+ items to fix. Finally after living here 3 weeks, multiple contractors Stopped by to fix some items on my list. 5 done, 15 or more to go. Frustrating since Nobody contacted me to review the list of items before common out. So a few left and told me to submit a new ticket. So now I have to start again and probably Wait a few more weeks.. a 3 x 2 inch hole in the wall next to my tankless water heater Is a major concern , with all the rain, water is getting into the open hole in the exterior wall, Who knows when it will be fixed. I am happy but i could be much happier if the workmanship was better. Any outside repair person always remarks about how they don't understand why certain things were used in the build such as "why were these wires used?" Seems like they use the cheapest vendors, no one was supervised as long as they job looked complete they moved on. How many days of work am i going to miss to fix all these issues? And will my issues ever be resolved? Stop telling me that every issue is normal or the style. A towel bar was literally placed where a mirror would obviously go centered above the sink and i was ...

Too much warranty work to be done after move in. Floors warped and known issue with a support beam not to level in all of their townhomes. walls uneven, all appliances needed multiple service (hot water heater, washer, dryer, refrigerator, stove (6 times), dishwasher, garage door opener). Painters had to repaint multiple walls from nail pops and wavey walls, barely any paint on the walls. Every trade wants to blame another trade. Pulte/Divosta is too concerned with getting units moved into and not concerned with quality of workmanship.

The purchase experience is set up for ground up build, and is not pertinent for "Quick Close" customers. Avoid Pulte Title if at all possible. Poor communications, surprise last minute notary documents, Calls from people in various remote locations. Inconsiderate customer treatment. New homes come with no bedroom lights, cheap apartment style closet shelves and hangers, poor construction cleanup. Interior wall studs are flimsy steel on 20-24 inch centers....how can I hang heavy things on these? My home will be OK once I finish building it. Pulte's Sales and Construction folks try hard ...

My first days in the house were not good at all. The washing machine flooded the bathroom and hallway 3 times (once on its own when I tried to use it and 2 other times as the plumber was trying to troubleshoot the issue. Additionally, my dishwasher did not work the first time I tried to run it. Had to schedule a repair call and tech came with wrong part so I am working on rebooking the technician.

Should have delayed closing but went foward eventhough many items were not completed. Post closing, problems with repairs. Either progress was very slow, other things were damaged when repairs were made or quality of materials was inadequate and not checked for quality. Many issues related to the doors and trim work. Paint work also very inconsistent. We expected better quality for the price paid. This is not our first home built.
