It’s been great so far

Great quality home for the price. DiVosta was easy to work work. The Lakes at Waterside village is beautifully landscaped for a very serene atmosphere.

They cut corners any time they can

Our home was finished earlier then originally planned. The builder was informative and available.

Good quality but everything is an additional option. They seem to have decided on what is best for them and just act on that. Plus options not well explained. Difficult to understand what the cost of options are. Not a good final inspection either as they missed standard promises - like outlet in the entertainment center not there & doorbell didn’t work. Minor comfort issues like minimal natural ventilation & needed door handles on large slider doors , plus no easy clean out for dryer vents a bad design. Tight quarters design, eg, garage doors could be just a foot wider for 2 cars & distance between homes just another foot would be better. Again, their philosophy is good enough, but not exceptional. For what you pay, I believe the standard options should be nicer. The follow up on installation check list was pretty responsive. ... More

We feel confident in saying Divosta is about workmanship, and their team is very helpful and friendly, I would highly recommend them.

We loved the great communication with our sales agent, the selection of quality finishes presented by a knowledgeable designer and the continued communication with our project manager. His attention to detail and going the extra mile really made our house a home we will enjoy for many years to come. I would highly recommend DiVosta to anyone considering building a new home.

Overall great experience purchasing and building my home

The only issue I had with building this house was the choice of interior paint colors. Colors were limited to eight choices and none would have been my first choice. Then everything gets painted that color including ceilings. I couldn't even get the ceilings painted white. After spending close to $500,000 for a house and you can't get to chose interior paint colors to your requirements was a disappointment.

My family and I recently bought a house through DiVosta. If I were to say it was the best experience I’ve ever had, it would be a lie. Building through DiVosta is an experience I never want to experience again. I was expecting things would be handled by the builder and my realtor, but this was not my experience. I had to check on the house almost everyday to make sure everything was going appropriately. Very poor communication on issues that came up during the build, and even when it came time for closing, the process was atrocious. I have never been so stressed. There were even builders/contractors errors made on my home. For the price I paid for my home, I feel it was slapped together and the small details did not matter. Over all very disappointed. Also, after talking to multiple people who work for the company, they realize all the issues I brought up (ex. Poor quality of paint, subpar subcontractors, etc.) and they do not try and change it. Knowledgeable sales people who were responsive to our questions.

I loved having a field manager who was informative, available and went over and above on several occasions.

I felt that they provided a nice selection things to choose from for a track housing development

While in the process of purchasing our home Alex made it 10x easier. The only thing is when you do your final walk through just be very thorough when you do it and don’t rush. Some things were not complete but it was only little things hat we missed. But the great thing was we had 30 days to report the issue and they have been very quick in the response time to take care of the issue. But ultimately I’m very pleased with the purchase and the maintenance.

Significant major repairs due to faulty workmanship after closing as well as numerous warranty issues that have yet to be repaired. Promptness of repair and communication with leadership is very poor.

The "overall" experience was truly a great one until the week of closing, closing day, and the week afterward. Christy, the Sales Representative, was great from beginning and still is a shining example of great customer service. Took the time to get answers to all of our questions pre-construction and communicated really well and thoroughly. Any hiccups, she gets them smoothed out quickly. Jenn in Design was fantastic, communicated very promptly when responding to questions, even after hours, and provided great advice for the design options. And Kelvin... our original field manager... we really liked Kelvin, but communication broke down in the beginning, then it became good after escalating above him, Kelvin even called/texted us proactively after that, for awhile, then suddenly the LAST WEEK between the walk-thru and closing day, almost NOTHING accomplished from the punch list, (p.s. 5 new homes for me - and this was the longest punch list of all of them) even items we brought to Kelvin's attention 2-3 weeks earlier. THEN, THE DAY OF CLOSING Kelvin called, another week was needed “ideally” and this was per upper management he said. We could not except that, told Kelvin to let upper management know why things weren't done, share our prior communications and have them call me. He called back and suddenly we could close, albeit much later in the day. We were told the number one item on the punch list, the MBR ceiling repair was being worked on that morning (of closing). Despite being the 2nd "supposed" repair to the exact same thing it didn’t look any different. We were then told it would be addressed the morning following closing, it was supposedly scheduled (per Kelvin). By 1 or 2 PM that next day, trade is a no show and NO communication from anyone. At this point my wife and I were quite frustrated as there was no way the repair could now be completed prior to moving furniture in, which is what we were very clear about trying to avoid. Made one phone call to Christy later that same afternoon, and by that evening another field manager jumped in, Andrew. He followed up, quick responses in the beginning, he re-reviewed the punch list we originally created w/Kelvin, he called Kelvin, made sure he understood each item in detail, put it in excel format, created a 4 day schedule, provided us a copy, met trades on-site, etc. Things seemed on track and good. He got us ABOUT HALF-WAY through the punch list. THEN, he gave me the "survey speech..."knows everything wasn't perfect, etc, etc. how they needed top star ratings, "yes" answers to all, etc, etc., even hinted at understanding if maybe I just didn't complete the survey at all. I totally get it, surveys don't always reflect folks efforts, often it's the company not the staff... I told him not to worry, and gave a PERFECT survey, the HIGHEST marks, and answered YES to "was the home completed on time" and "were the punch items completed" and everything else - I essentially falsified the survey marks as a courtesy to Kelvin & Andrew believing they were well intentioned and maybe just overwhelmed by how the company schedules them or something... THEN day after the survey is completed - not another word from Andrew. Did not return phone calls, texts, emails, NOTHING. I called Christy, she jumped right in again (thank goodness for Christy) and now we are working with Debra. Debra so far has been fantastic and has been responsive. She has coordinated both pre-closing issues for which Kelvin and Andrew dropped the ball and now a few post-closing issues. We understand Kelvin had a personal emergency, taking him away from work briefly and we hope everything is okay, he’s a very nice guy, was very pleasant to work with when we could reach him. As for Andrew, thought he was great but evidently for him it's only about the survey results, then he crosses you off his list. All that said, we don't want to let the actions of a couple employees overshadow the hard work, efforts, caring attitudes, and helpfulness of the rest. Going forward we hope any warranty issues that might arise are handled well and we look forward to sharing our mostly positive experience with all of our friends and colleagues. Very good experience building our home.

Great building experience...no major issues along the way and minor issues were quickly resolved. Unfortunately, our warranty experience has not been the same. We closed months ago, and not all items on our 30 day list have even been scheduled to be fixed via the warranty department. They have addressed some items but others are still pending

Excellent experience! The people in the sales office are incredibly helpful

When the wind blows, the vents on the the roof make a lot of noise. I told the company about it but they said there was nothing they could do to correct it. Disappointed to say the least.

The process was great. Everyone kept up informed at every step of the process. We are thrilled with our new home.

From the outset our experience with DiVosta sales department was very favorable. Thoroughly knowledgeable with various models and related features. Very helpful in deciding which model was best for us without undo pressure. Very responsive to our questions and contacts. Initial contract signing went smoothly. During the design review and selection of options we did experience a rather frustrating issue with the kitchen cabinets. Although we had selected a specific cabinet in the initial quote (off-white) we were told during the design review that they were discontinued. However, they were confident they would be able to secure them. Two days later we were advised that the cabinets could not obtained and that a white cabinet was the only alternative. This was totally unacceptable to my wife and only after repeated exchanges, a suitable off-white kitchen cabinet was identified and subsequently installed. Our most frustrating experience relates to Pulte Mortgage. Although most of the people we interfaced with were pleasant enough, the mortgage approval process was not. Repeated and redundant requests for documents, statements and financial records seemed totally unnecessary and burdensome. On a more positive note, the construction manager was very professional and responsive throughout the process. Helpful and informative with describing the various construction processes and building techniques. We were out of State buyers and of course we had a lot of questions. Chris Hill and David Bennett were always responsive to our questions. We even had an outside inspector come for a once over. The inspector did not have any issues with the house.
