Our first sale lady Faith was excellent!! Our Construction Manager Justen S was excellent. The only two they I can say we trusted. The 2nd salesperson assigned to us (Linda S) was always condescending, like i was a burden for her to deal with, and she has me banned from sales center where the HOA office is located! how is that? how would you feel after spending 3/4 of a million dollars?

It was quite a painful experience. Unresponsive upper management who directed their efforts to build their spec homes and neglected the already contracted homes. Delays after delays, blaming it on Covid then on workforce then on materials. Meantime they built numerous spec homes that started a year after I bought mine. The house was not completely finished but I had to close because of rate lock issues. From initial excitement, promise and cheerful messaging playing throughout the model homes, quickly became silence and lack of urgency from sales, project managers and broken promises. Our home is basically nice but there are many follow-up items waiting to be addressed. The process took more that twice as long as we were told up-front and proactive communication regarding the ongoing status did not happen. We had to ask. I have never built a house before but the process was stressful.

Design was great, but Quality & workmanship of the house was ok at best. Some Contractors were sloppy with their work, & fit, and finish was not so great in certain areas. Ordered & paid for an upgraded refrigerator and received a basic (loaner) refrigerator at closing, Still waiting for our ordered refrigerator 2 months after closing! Other issues still open. Warranty follow-up communication for issues needs improvement.

This builder employees build managers that are incompetent or just do not care enough. This builder rushes contractors work on the homes that make workmanship inferior. Only bright spot was our build manager Joe Kenny here in South Florida. Worst was first assigned build manager Carson Clemens.

Poor Workmanship !!!

Divosta are a friendly team but that doesn’t fix the quality workmanship… When building make sure you visit the site on a weekly basis. Especially before drywall goes up!! Lots of the structure are not installed square. When inspecting everything make sure to take a speed square and a 4 foot level. We have been in our place for 2 months and they are still fixing things. Hope this helps.

I was hoping to get the same quality I saw on the model home. It is difficult to see every detail on a short period of time. Once I moved I realized that all openings are cut in diagonal. Even the main door has a triangle on the wall. Sliding doors are not aligned, pocket door in the bathroom detached in the middle of the night within 17 days after moved. The quality control on the construction is terrible. I have never seen a construction like this. Appliances had to be leveled. The appliances cannot be any cheaper. For what we pay to buy one of these houses we should get much more.

This is the 7th house we have bought and was by far the worst experience. Workmanship is poor. Still have blue tape all over the house 6 weeks after closing. Construction manager was terrible and flat out lied about several things. Was coerced into signing form that house was "100%" at closing or they would not close when we literally had a moving truck coming in and had no where to go. Was told that 100% meant "100% structurally sound" but would not allow us to add that in . Was told punch lost items at preclosing would completed for closing and 6 weeks later still waiting. Staff changeovers. Slow completion of the build. Repeated problems needing to be addressed. Information initially provided was incorrect and affected the building process . Disjointed closing process. There were a few people that were helpful but the ratio of helpers to knuckle draggers is about 1:5. The corporate sales office was particularly backward and caused more issues than it solved problems. Loaded with attitude. This was my first new build and based on this experience I would never do it again. At least with Pulte/Divosta

My issue is not so much with the builder, but with the main office to whom the builder answers. Hurricane Ian unfortunately delayed the completion of the house. Totally understandable. Our sales and design experience were wonderful. Unfortunately, that’s where the “joy” of building ended. It was 15 months of unresponsive build managers and terrible communication. It seemed like every trade that walked into our house left something that needed repair. The repairs were put off until, in some cases, the day of or after closing. We closed with the promise our home would be completed. It was not in a livable condition. It hadn’t been painted, cleaned and the paper protecting the tile was still in place. We had to cancel all the deliveries that day. We also didn’t have hot water and the stove leaked gas. Apparently, no one tested them when they were installed . Both were due to poor installation. The positive is the sales team they have here but the negative is the homes are built very cheaply... doorways and switch plates are crooked and it’s very low end builder grade. We are having to repaint and replace many things to make the house better quality. Disappointed ☹️

Overall, the design of the home is great. There were minor issues upon moving in that could be expected with a new home, however, customer service is horrible. Difficult people to deal with after purchasing - rude and seems to be condescending to women.

Poor customer service in all regards. It seems that now that the real estate market is doing very well, people just don't care. Frankly, it's ridiculous. Poor response to minor issues. They tell you they will take care of it, but never do. One person tells you one thing then the next person says something different. I always thought DiVosta was a quality builder... Boy, was I hoodwinked!!!
