When one pays this much for a home one should expect quality material, quality workmanship (paint drips on floor), timeliness addressing issues (some still not done after closing on 12-30-21). Homebuying experience not at all what we expected for homes this expensive and should be of great quality.

Good design and willingness to work with buyer to achieve what they want!

Due to Drees reputation of quality custom home builder I was expecting near perfect craftsmanship. I have too many issues wrong with my house. The walls are not solid so you can hear every toilet flush and every shower. There’s broken tiles missed during the walk through that most people would miss unless you start living here. It was filthy when we moved in and every pencil marked measurement by the builder is visible. There’s a lot of half done projects I’m noticing and I’m not very happy since the warranty department is slow to respond.

They follow through even if things are don't perfect at closing.

The models are great with good modern designs

Once you close on the house and notice any issues they are slow to follow-up. You'll get told whatever they think you want to hear. Three plus emails about the same issues are three to many.

The building process was truly a shared one. We had many upgrades and changes throughout and for each one we met discussed and came up with a plan and delivered. I am truly happy to have found Drees. Best home I have ever owned!

They have a good product, but maybe it's because of COVID. This is my 3rd new build and I have been disappointed with workmanship of the house and the response from the builder to fix it in timely manner.

Very good experience with sales and construction manager, they have addressed all my concerns and issues.

Drees offers some great floor plans and the model homes will for sure get you hooked, however, some of their subs could have been more dedicated to their workmanship. Additionally, it would have been nice of Drees and the head of construction to take into consideration the homeowners intent to purchase. For instance, do not run utility service lines down the middle of a pool-sized backyard forcing the new homeowner to incur costly expenses to move those lines in order to put in a pool. Drees offered no concession and no remedy to the situation even though they ultimately signed off on these lines being placed outside the easement parameters. ... More

The team in Northlake, TX did a great job.

This is a hard review to give because we love our home and it’s beautiful. However, there are still unfinished items and things that need to be done. COVID hasn’t helped but Drees should have back up options to deal with this as they have had over a year to adjust. I feel like they give priority to homes under construction but once you close, you become an afterthought.

Good experience overall. Did have a few issues along they way, but all addressed. Good communication with builder and sales team throughout the process.

Home was not ready in time and the quality of work was very poor.

It was great working with Drees and their team to build our new home.

Offers excellent sales experience as we bought a home 100% virtual. We wish Drees has some kind of software that allows us to visualize the different options and how it looks (something to improve on). The workmanship quality is generally good, but it's a hit-or-miss. The builder is responsive and followed through with our concerns after closing.

Up front purchase experience was ok. However, once we signed the papers it all went downhill. Issues with the floors and tile from day 1 and were unable to get responses from Drees. I even wrote letters to the. Operate office and the regional ofgice and called customer support- no response. We finally had someone from drees out last week-2months after closing. There are o few other quality issues that will hopefully be addressed.

Make sure to oversee every stage, especially if a bigger home. They cut corners like a spec builder, so stay on top of the project. The craftsmanship is average, you have to push for exceptional quality.

The builder has dedicated professional personnel. The company is truly a custom builder, being very flexible and ready to accommodate their client's wishes.

A well-built home for a great price. Our inspector said that our house is the best-built home he has ever inspected. I am a very picky person with very clear ideas about design and quality construction and I felt that the team at Drees met my needs and was responsive to my concerns. No homebuilder is perfect, and there are always going to be bumps along the way when you are building a new home, but this was a great experience for our family.

The quality and attention to detail really stands out from other homebuilders.
