Daniella is the Marketing person, we haven't never seen this marketing person like never before. Not even Single thing has been addressed by her. However we were given Builder contact just before closing, he was little accommodative. But Daniella behaved just like selling the home itself a great thing for you

Nice home for the value.

I had a great experience during the whole process. Got weekly calls to inform me on progress. A found a couple of problems before closing but they were quickly addressed.

This is actually our 2nd Drees Home build (30 years after the 1st one !), and they did not disappoint. Guided by their enduring corporate values focused on clients, they continue to be one of the most high quality, dependable, and trustworthy custom home builders. Building through a Pandemic with supply chain disruptions is challenging, but Matt and Eric were fabulous to work with and very responsive to our concerns. We are 2 months post closing, but they remain in touch to ensure things are working and patch up paint and other things to our liking. Trustworthy, high quality, and dependable may sound boring and old fashioned - but to me they are the most crucial attributes in a builder, considering a home is likely the most expensive thing any family will ever buy. ... Everything has been great experience with Drees team from sale manager, Steven to designer center, construction manager. They have been responsive to all my questions/concern. The only thing I'm not satisfied with workmanship & materials. They are not good like before, it could be better than other custom builder. But I expect more from custom builder like Drees, still upset how cheap quality and appearance of kitchen cabinet are. Hope they change that.

We are very happy to be in our new home. The process took longer than expected but the end product is very good.

We went through the entire build process with Drees and the Cons definitely outweighed the pros. Pros, weekly status calls were a nice touch. The Cons were slow progress, poor workmanship, dirty homesite, wrong items installed, creeks throughout the second level subfloor, paint and cement splatters on door hardware and porch railing, splotchy painting and staining, and multiple attempts to correct persistent issues with doors and walls.

Working with Harry and then Jason was a wonderful experience. While there were numerous issues with supply chain, etc, they did everything they could to make sure that we were satisfied and all of our needs were met. It was first class experience!

Worst Experience EVER. The Design Center should have the decency to tell the truth or at least consult the builder for what's really POSSIBLE and NOT. I'm seriously consider suing them.

After contracting in September of 2021, the experience slowly devolved. Foundation wasn't poured until mid-February 2022. Consistent lack of communication on timeline and progress. Having bought at the peak year brought other challenges. Sub-par subcontractor teams. We are left with large cracks through grade beams, walls & windows that are not square or plumb. flickering LED light fixtures, unfinished chimney flashing with exposed wood and gaps, shingle issues, bowed subroofing. Alll at the amazing high dollar 2021 price. I will say that the Drees warranty department has been excellent. While not resolving any of these mentioned build issues, we did have 2 plumbing backups that were caused by the subcontractors that were immediately resolved. Our closing punch list remains uncompleted by the construction manager. Overall very disappointing and lackluster experience and build after this being the 3rd drees home in our family. Everything below is my experience and opinion since I began building my home with Drees in October 2021. Their sales staff needs training. Be warned... there are SEVERAL decisions that need to be made AT CONTRACT. You can have all the conversations, emails etc with the sales people, but certain things you think might be options to decide at the design center MUST be in your contract. If they are not, you will have to PAY $1000 to change the contract even though it was the SALES person's mistake. This includes plan changes adding an optional media room, doors on the study, showers instead of bathtubs etc. If in doubt ASK! The sales people should have a checklist they give you so you know before you sign. It is very confusing when some items you discussed are in contract and others are not. Do NOT assume the salesperson knows what they are doing! Buying new or building with Drees does not mean you get a home without imperfections or flaws. The quality is just not there. The contract does not require them to meet anything beyond minimum quality standards. We have cabinets with bad paint or missing paint in many spots, doors with damage that they filled and tried to cover as well as bad paint, Drees subcontractors LOVE caulk and will use it to try to cover their poor workmanship. DO NOT DO WOOD BEAMS OR SITE FINISHED STAIRS. You will PAY a lot of money and they will not turn out anything like the model home. You have to watch everything they do. They will put tile in the wrong bathrooms, build your cabinets incorrectly, frame the stairs using wrong measurements and so on... and you will have to constantly check for progress on the corrections. They will use the garage like a garbage dump and scoop up the debris on occasion using a bobcat, scraping and gouging the garage floor. You will have to pay out of pocket after closing to have your garage floor refinished or coated it is so bad. The tile in the master bath is uneven in many spots in the shower and on the floor. Tile floors are chipped, mirrors are poorly framed, I could go on..I had a list of 81 items in total, most were attempted to be corrected. A lot of the time the attempts to correct just caused more damage. Until they have an occupancy permit, they will try to fix their mistakes and appease you, but once you close you will have to chase them down regardless of what they promised you. From the day I signed to the day I moved in was not 10 to 14 months...it was over 500 days!! Some may think I'm too picky or difficult. I just believe that you should get what you pay for and that there should be some quality of workmanship. I shouldn't have a list of repairs to do from day 1 in a new build. I still love the floorplan and I am happy to finally have moved in. Unfortunately much of the joy was taken away in the building process. I will say that the Drees Design Center process was FANTASTIC and the first 3 or 4 months building were so much fun. Then the mistakes began... followed by months of delays and frustration. Be warned and be aware. I'm sure many builders will be the same. They are dealing with subcontractors who just don't care and without builder supervision they try to get away with poor workmanship. We chose Drees because they were willing to work with us in getting our dream floor plan. The whole process from the day we talked to them to when we closed took a full year. Couple of delays that occurred for us was the changing of the building managers which caused a couple of communication issues on what we were wanting for the house. We’ve been living in the house for about 2 months and so far it’s been good. No major issues yet. Drees definitely makes beautiful homes and if you are needing a specific floor plan they are able to create that for you!

The house was 75 days over the original estimated completion date. During that time, we had several promised move in dates from upper management. Unfortunately, all had to be cancelled due to their inability to complete the house. The quality of workmanship is poor with the constant excuse that trades are very limited. Remember, you get what you pay for and this is a determining factor in their quality and completion of work. Example, we had so many paint splatters on the wood floor that it took two painters over 4 hours to clean up.

Missy from the Sales Team was great, she is always smiling, willing to help and very customer centric. Unfortunately, for us it was a nightmare trying to fix the issues that arise on the first day, we got a dirty house, cabinets in the kitchen were the worst, pot filler did not work, house was clearly lack of supervision, so really bad experience with the architect and his manager, I won't say names here, but ZERO customer centric and lack of responsibility.

Nerve will build and refer anybody.

Our sales team was extremely rude with most concerns, builder took 15 months, many days and weeks with no one working. Ordered brick wrong which was the first thing we had to order after signing and we had to choose another brick when it came in incorrectly. Always belittling the customer when we ask questions on why something not done. I would NEVER recommend this company for someone to build on their own lot. Its very sad that we have a $850,000 home that we didn't enjoy building. I would never treat my customers like they did.

Our home building process with Drees was terrible. We built with them several years ago, which was a great experience, and expected the same level of service and quality but did not get it. Quality control was nonexistent and we had to watch every step of the 18 month build like hawks, pointing out the issues ourselves or they would be missed or covered up. Food trash and beer bottles were tucked into the walls and left in the attic, paper trash was shoved behind the firebox creating a fire hazard. We had 3 water leaks during the build due to poor quality, one from an overflowing toilet being used by the crew which ruined the materials in the master bath with human waste. A fourth leak after the build from a drain line just pouring into a wall instead of being hooked up correctly. Two of these leaks resulted in mold causing us to tear out walls, cabinets, and materials to be replaced. The HVAC has required multiple repairs to correct issues from the installation. We’ve had electricians visit two times to correct electrical issues; lights that didn’t work, incorrect wiring in the main panel, etc. There are multiple other issues and I’m sure more will be discovered as time goes on; we will likely be in a constant state of repair throughout the full warranty period. We’ve had external inspectors come out to check multiple items at our own expense; it’s expensive but necessary to find and correct the issues to make the house safe for our family. All of this for a house costing well over $1million. Drees has fallen far from where they once were; if you buy with them get several private inspections throughout the build process to protect yourself and be ready for the stress of monitoring and scheduling every repair that will be needed. ... As the Home Builder, you can't blame the hired work or contractors for their actions, as you partnered or hired them to do the job. THEY are a reflection of your company and the follow up to anything with Drees has been horrible.

The builder does not hold their contractors to the high level of standards that the sell to the customer. In addition, the builders do not follow-up and communicate well to the buyer on the progress of them home. Due to this behavior the customer is expected to manage the completion of open tasks, even after the customer has moved into the house.

Overall positive experience. We would build with them again. Lengthy building process and some material quality concerns due to supply chain issues. Most issues have been addressed promptly and adequately by the builder so far. Happy with our new home.

I can not leave a good review for Drees. The timeline was a train wreck, the quality of the work is shockingly poor and all the GC's were a massive disappointment until Graham stepped in. His communication was and still is awesome. I will never recommend or build a Drees home again but Graham made the end of this terrible process not as terrible.

Poor quality materials used with unprofessional workmanship. My brand new house already has too many issues. Corporate is not responding to issues raised. Not sure the point of this survey if not planning to correct things.

I have gone through the home building experience with Drees Custom homes and it couldn't be any better. I was operating remote most of the time and project manager kept me updated. Sales and closing processes were also very smooth and professional. Post closing warranty of 90 days is also very helpful to iron out any pending items ..
