Drees took care of issues every time but sub cons were not careful.

Overall it is a house. Other than that, the quality of the work and the materials used are sub par. You would expect at this price level that you wouldn't need to have a punch list a mile long. It is like the construction manager had no eyes. I had to point out issues as the home was being built and they still missed a great deal. They have no attention to detail.

We bought the house over phone calls and e-mails. Reagan was amazing and so was Preston. The financing part was a disaster through the lending company. And when we got the house, there were some basic things that were not thought of well for a 2022 home like electric outlet outside the house, outlets for security system, conduit for internet intake to make the house fiber optic ready and so on. It was very disheartening, and almost made us regret the purchase, but we’ll it’s too late and we are trying to make the best out if it.

The experience we had is probably no worse than other builders in this current environment of limited supplies and labor.

Our building manager Kevin is amazing, he responded email and text promptly. He is friendly and responsible. He is the best building manager I've ever met. A big thanks to him !!!!!!

Attention to detail is poor

Depends on the community it varies a lot. I love my home and loved working the sales rep, but working with construction manager was very difficult. My house is not 100% complete, since I still have contractors coming in and out to fix the house. Finish touch ups are not cleanly done even after I moved in 3 months ago.

Not the worst, but not the best.

Wouldn’t purchase a Drees home again, overall bad experience. There are other builders where you can get more for your money and still have the same quality & craftsmanship.

Eventually you do end up with a really nice home, but manage your expectations of the process.

Cannot recommend this builder as would not want anybody to go thru what i had to deal with.

Some are good, some are not, My entrance door is not painted with the finishing coat. Some cabinet doors in the upper floor is missing

Any excuses they said were due to Covid and supply chain problem. Really!?

Make sure to oversee every stage, especially if a bigger home. They cut corners like a spec builder, so stay on top of the project. The craftsmanship is average, you have to push for exceptional quality.

Mixed process with builder. Unimpressed with quality of build and the number of problems that have come up after just 2 months.

After contracting in September of 2021, the experience slowly devolved. Foundation wasn't poured until mid-February 2022. Consistent lack of communication on timeline and progress. Having bought at the peak year brought other challenges. Sub-par subcontractor teams. We are left with large cracks through grade beams, walls & windows that are not square or plumb. flickering LED light fixtures, unfinished chimney flashing with exposed wood and gaps, shingle issues, bowed subroofing. Alll at the amazing high dollar 2021 price. I will say that the Drees warranty department has been excellent. While not resolving any of these mentioned build issues, we did have 2 plumbing backups that were caused by the subcontractors that were immediately resolved. Our closing punch list remains uncompleted by the construction manager. Overall very disappointing and lackluster experience and build after this being the 3rd drees home in our family. Just brand name but it is not good anymore

Signed contract in March 2021, given a Feb. 2022 complete date. Did not close until May 2022. Attention to detail was lacking. Lots of punch list items. Subcontractors did not read prints. Custom modifications seemed to be problematic. A/C unit appears to be undersized.

We were extremely excited initially about our home buying process. It went great till the construction started. Too many mistakes during the construction process. To compound to the problem the quality of workmanship was extremely poor. The supervision in the initial phase of construction was lacking. The builder had to re- work on lot of issues. After taking possession we have had roof leaks, the air conditioner not working etc. Although the builder has been responsive and fixing these issues, as a customer we are not very excited about this. There was a lack of quality control and project oversight throughout the build. Even after the build there are still a number of punch list items that need to be completed and the only response I ever receive is when I push on the builder.

Since purchasing our home, we have had numerous issues with tankless water heater, had 4 plumbers look at it and 2 more from Rheem. The bigger issue is the lack of communication from the after rep. I have asked multiple times via calls or texts for a follow up with no responses. The responses seem like the individual doesn’t know what home or person he is speaking with.

Due to Drees reputation of quality custom home builder I was expecting near perfect craftsmanship. I have too many issues wrong with my house. The walls are not solid so you can hear every toilet flush and every shower. There’s broken tiles missed during the walk through that most people would miss unless you start living here. It was filthy when we moved in and every pencil marked measurement by the builder is visible. There’s a lot of half done projects I’m noticing and I’m not very happy since the warranty department is slow to respond.

Experience did not match expectations set forth by sales agent. Many quality issues. Lack of attention to detail and pride in work done by trades. Minimal communication once earnest money paid and home took 8 months longer than originally communicated.

Drees builds a good home overall. With that said, this was an extremely difficult and frustrating process due to multiple miscommunications from start to finish. I would not build with Drees again.
