The house is beautiful and over all great quality. As an inventory home, a few things I would have thought to have installed to make the future owner life more practical. As an example, gas outlet for barbecue grill in the outside area. A few windows that open in the living room to have some fresh air coming in and out. Besides these little details accepted as an inventory home, the whole team had always been supportive and great.

We recently completed a home build with Drees, and overall it was a very positive experience. Building a home—especially from the ground up—is a complex process, and Drees provided a strong framework and team to guide us through each stage. From the beginning, their design process was well organized and allowed us to customize the home in a way that truly fits how our family lives. The quality of construction and attention to detail, particularly in the finishes and structural components, were solid and met our expectations for a high-quality build. Communication throughout the process was generally strong. Our builder was responsive and worked to address questions and concerns as they came up, which is critical during a project of this scope. Like any construction project, there were a few items along the way that required follow-up, but Drees was willing to work through those and ensure they were resolved appropriately. Had a great experience buying our latest home from Drees. It was intended as a inventory home and we came into the picture when the house was almost done. Drees team did everything they can to make as many changes as possible. We are extremely happy. There could have been some changes to the plan but since we were not involved from day 1 this is understandable.

Dear Drees Team, I hope this message finds you well. My family and I were quite excited to move into our new home built by your team, especially with our 2-year-old. However, the move was quite challenging as we were managing the move, temporary housing, and caring for our toddler. Initially, everything seemed to be in order, but after a month, we started noticing numerous issues that should have been addressed by the builder as part of quality control. Our home was built within six months, and we can't help but feel it was rushed. Given the $1,259,000 price tag, we had high expectations and never anticipated encountering such sloppy work. For instance, our cabinets need repainting, there's paint splatter, known issues with stained cabinets, and plugs coming out of the ground that haven't been addressed, among a laundry list of other items that require correction. We have been attempting to get these issues fixed, but the process has been extremely slow, and we are being asked to wait until the 11-month inspection. Issues that were identified before closing still haven't been resolved, and we find ourselves having to repeatedly explain the problems. This ongoing situation has left us with a continuous trail of dust and mess as we try to get these issues addressed. It has been a tedious process, and we still haven't been provided with a clear and concise plan to rectify these issues, which is frustrating on many levels. We kindly request a more immediate and effective resolution plan. We understand that some issues may take time, but clear communication and a proactive approach would go a long way in alleviating our frustrations. Drees Homes was great to work with. They are a quality builder. They have great people and systems. They have many options for upgrades to finish your house the way you want. For the minor issues we had they have been responsive and taken care of them quickly. We would do business with them again.

Jake, Kade & Mike have been awesome to work with. All of our concerns have been addressed in a prompt and timely manner. The home was presented very professionally by them. We bought our house in November. My wife and i are very happy so far.

There is nothing "custom" about these homes. Worst quality work. Customer service very response but craftsmanship for a "custom" builder is 1000% missing. If they all truly care about customers, they need to visit their customers to review quality of work instead of sending surveys.. which I doubt will happen.

Drees builds a solid house, but they need to pay attention to the details and their contractors. When you buy a $1.5 million dollar home, you shouldn’t have to worry about brick defects or scratches on window frames, shelves, and gutters. Also, concrete work had many defects, scratches, and cracks. Drees does their best to make things right, but if they just slowed down and focused more on details they’d be great. Still probably one of the best builders in the area.

I closed on my new custom home with Drees in July, and unfortunately my experience since then has been very disappointing. At closing, my driveway was covered in dirt, and I was assured it would be power washed after 30 days to protect my new sod. When they finally did, the driveway remained permanently stained due to dirt sitting for weeks on porous concrete and heavy machinery driving over it. Drees has been aware of this issue for over 30 days, and I have reached out to the CEO’s office several times, yet the issue remains unresolved. For a brand-new custom home, a blotchy, stained driveway is simply unacceptable, and the lack of accountability has been extremely frustrating. On top of that, months later I am still waiting for my punch list items to be completed. The delays and lack of follow-through are not what you would expect from a company that promises quality and customer service. When you purchase a new home from a builder like Drees, you expect quality, transparency, and timely resolution of issues. Unfortunately, my experience has been the opposite. Attention to detail is poor

Mixed process with builder. Unimpressed with quality of build and the number of problems that have come up after just 2 months.

We bought this home as a spec home for almost a million and while we like many of the design features the workmanship has been shoddy. We have had to make multiple requests for repair to many items. Most of the time we get no defined time for when repair will be made and the repair workers just show up. Often this happens at inconvenient moments for when people work at home. Our point of contact after closing for repairs either doesn’t respond or workers show up unannounced. We have had to have a couple of repairs fixed multiple times. It takes several requests to get issues fixed. Examples are: poor drainage in back yard, front door handle won’t latch properly, drawers stick, oven didn’t work for weeks with known issue, shower in master leaked despite repair and needed second repair. Items addressed at initial walk through not fixed before closing (still had tape in areas that needed to be fixed like obvious seam in carpet, etc). Workers just showing up at 7:30 at night unannounced. Too many items to fix for price of home. ... More

Overall sales rep and builder were supportive and made sure they had a good customer service mentality

We had to be on top all the design selections that are actually installed. Some items were missing after moving in and had to reach builder to remind installation. It was a bit of confusing communicating with builder directly so best bet is to call Drees customer services reps as they quickly address any issues after move-in. Overall , experience is great.

We had a great experience with Drees. Top notch communication and workmanship all the way from the sales team to our construction manager. All fantastic.

Cannot recommend this builder as would not want anybody to go thru what i had to deal with.

We were very impressed at our first few meetings with Drees Sales. Once we were into the process, from design center to closing, it was disappointing to say the least. The design process was a challenge all the way through, the build manager lied about items being completed when he wasn’t even on site or hadn’t been on site. The quality of work that was acceptable by the Drees team was disgusting. After repeated notifications items were still not completed. One driving factor was Drees wanted to close by a certain time rather than providing a home, that was to be our dream home. We conceded on hundreds of items, left to take care of on our own. Great experience all the way thru. Cory (Drees Agent) & Ryan (Project Manager) were both first class. Very friendly and polite. They were always on top of things and very knowledgeable. Very pleasant experience.

Very smooth process with Drees! Even though we never saw the floor plan in person, we knew it would be great quality and it is. We love our beautiful new home.

Our building manager Kevin is amazing, he responded email and text promptly. He is friendly and responsible. He is the best building manager I've ever met. A big thanks to him !!!!!!

Drees is indeed a true custom experience for customers who have a vision for their home. They go above and beyond to meet the customer requirements and build the dream home.

If it wasn’t for our amazing builder I’m not sure if we would’ve went thru with completing our home with Drees. Our builder made our experience top notch as he was responsive to issues, gave frequent updates, followed through with promises and resolved issues on time. Unfortunately, the sales team and leadership at Drees was a huge disappointment. There is a major issue going on within our community and we have not received a response from upper management that could affect our HOA dues that was not disclosed during closing. It’s been weeks with no follow up from Drees. A lot of minor to major imperfections in worksmanship for the price paid. Needs a lot more babysitting to point out issues and they atleast 2-3 visits to get fixed.
