My wife and I sold our home in ***** and moved back to *****. As such, we were looking for an inventory home that was ready for immediate move in. We had never seen a Drees Custom Home before and they were the last of numerous builder to look at. We were blown away with all the custom features in the house. Especially, the 8 foot doors, the 10 annd 14 foot ceiling, the Whirlpool appliances (most of all the double oven). Dree’s insulation and HVAC package really impressed me. This is my 12th home, 7th new build, and by far the best quality and experience with a builder!

this home looks great, built nicely and service by builder seems good, this said, there are few items, which one would have expected to be handled better, from the beginning , the yard which has sod planted all over it, was graded poorly, and accumulates water in areas that are swamp like. the soil once one tries to plant anything, and is being dug is full of construction debris, cement, etc. a bit more attention, at the stage before sod is laid over to hide everything, would have gone long way in quality on the long run. the other item, is the "SMART HOME" equipment which the builder provides, is a far cry behind the standard of the industry, Camera door bell is really low quality, practically a joke-you can see people by your door, but you can not hear the talking, also WiFi coverage provided by infrastructure builder wired, is sub standard, one story home does not have coverage at the Garage. Bottomline we have to take all of their system out and replace with other maker equipment. all this said and mentioned, this is a GREAT HOME! ... More

Visited many home builders but Drees Homes is by far the Best in Style, quality craftsmanship, customer service. Greg and Linda were outstanding. Highly recommend Drees Homes for anyone that wants a new home and the best in customer service. My family and I love our new home!

From the sale phase all the way to the moving / inspection my experience with Drees was fantastic. Great communication during construction and all our comments were addressed immediately. The quality of the materials and finishes are also superb. I would definitely recommend Drees to any one !

We closed in our home end of march and during our final walkthrough we noticed our driveway and walkway had some patches. We didn’t think anything of it but as the rain days came through the patches started to come off and now we noticed the missing chunks and pitting from the missing concrete. This also happened in our back yard patio from the poor quality of the concrete pour or craftsmanship. We have complained about it and all Drees wants to do is patch it again which will not fix the problem. And even so for a new construction home how can this be acceptable a few months in terms of aesthetic. Also on all the interior doors the top part of the trim isn’t caulked not sure if they were trying to save time/money or they didn’t have a long enough ladder. The top high windows the bottom section wasn’t caulked or sealed in the bottom. Another item is the floor tiles in the guest bathroom started to crack. I can also tell that the base board and doors weren’t properly prep before painting because paint started peeling off on doors and there’s pieces of texture compound left on baseboard that got painted over. Last our yard was left with a lot of high and low spots needs to be leveled. Overall I think this is all related to poor craftsmanship for our home. We expected more from the value of the house and the name drees carries as a custom home builder. Highly disappointed. ... More

From the start of our home building process to the closing on our new home everything was excellent! We received weekly emails and updates during the construction which was nice because we were not local at the time. Our general contractor Greg was hands-down amazing. He was always there to answer any questions we had, was quick to fix anything that we saw or that came up when we had our private inspection. Even after closing, Greg still checks in on us to make sure we have had no problems and we are satisfied with our new home. Everyone at Drees is excellent to work with, but there were some issues with workmanship. Luckily the warranty took care of the issues but that took time and effort to get resolved. The value offered was good as this was an existing home, but I would expect no to find the larger issues (laundry drain plugged, window leaking slightly, ) upon move in.

Overall, we are happy with the home. For the most part, it seems like a quality home. I am not pleased with the customer service though. Over two months since we closed/moved in, we still have outstanding items from our final walkthrough that have not been fixed. That is unacceptable. In addition, we have had some items come up since moving in that are covered under the warranty, and those items are taking some time to get completed. The line of communication needs to be better.

we just built a custom home in Bryan and builder was pro-active asap on follow up every few days with resolution within 24 hours we are beyond disappointment on lack of contractors checking their work for the most part spent $860K and this house is not worth it especially the fact they just landscaped front yard over the clay and did not put any top soil/garden mix down to ensure establishing a healthy front yard

The deciding and buying process was very easy with Donna. Tyler, who was over the construction, made sure any small issues were addressed before we moved in and he finished weeks ahead of schedule. We cannot say enough about the great experience we had due to their efforts.

This is our 12th home. We came to Drees because of the quality product. We are very satisfied. From the point of sale to a few small issues that have popped up Drees have been responsive and has handled everything to our satisfaction. We would definitely buy from Drees again.

Overall it is a house. Other than that, the quality of the work and the materials used are sub par. You would expect at this price level that you wouldn't need to have a punch list a mile long. It is like the construction manager had no eyes. I had to point out issues as the home was being built and they still missed a great deal. They have no attention to detail.

Everything was very high quality and customer service was great. They made the homebuying experience, very informative and friendly and enjoyable.

Eventually you do end up with a really nice home, but manage your expectations of the process.

Since purchasing our home, we have had numerous issues with tankless water heater, had 4 plumbers look at it and 2 more from Rheem. The bigger issue is the lack of communication from the after rep. I have asked multiple times via calls or texts for a follow up with no responses. The responses seem like the individual doesn’t know what home or person he is speaking with.

I've been surprised on how many minor issues this house has. All the workers had to do was just care a little more. Door knobs are coming undone one by one in the house. Loose fixtures, wires exposed from lighting. This should not be the work of a custom builder.

Had a great experience working with the sales team & the design center. Builder was very proactive in providing weekly updates on progress throughout the build phase. However, have been disappointed with the workmanship even though the materials used are good quality generally. Had multiple electrical issues, wiring not done right, wiring not done at all etc. Floor tiling is warped in a couple of rooms and needs to be done again. Flooring & Skirting is not done right and had to be done again in couple of rooms. Couple of walls were not straight that had to be fixed. However, the builder & the warranty team has been very responsive in acknowledging the defects and scheduling the appropriate fixes. Special mention to warranty team for sending out instructions to prepare the house before the freeze. Did not have a good experience working with the affiliated lender, would have expected lender to have good financial acumen but was found wanting in knowledge. ... More

We had a wonderful experience designing our custom home with Denise at the sales office. She helped us personalize our home to meet our families needs! We can’t say more about our amazing experience with Denise. During our build process we ran into some snags but Tucker and Ben and the Drees team did everything they could to make things right. The Drees team made us feel like family.

In what can be a stressful life event... Drees made the entire process very smooth and easy. from the time we put deposit down to the build process and closing everything has gone smooth. very happy with end result
