Makes sure all is complete prior to closing. Even though I did a walk through the week before I was assured that all maintenance that showed would be completed prior to closing. When I walked through the day before closing the work had not been done yet. I was given a lot of assurances that they would get on it immediately but it took 2 months before any of the work was completed. I am still waiting on a ceiling light to be replaced and it has been 3 months now. "The only way I was able to get anything done was to go to the sales manager and she called people and got it done. Workmanship of contractors- below my standards they would have to come back multiple times to fix items that should have been done correctly the first time such as erecting a Piller to be straight! Things like that where you could see visibly to any person walking by the home. Frustrating process to watch and realize this continues to delay the build. They needed to be babysat and checked each day but even checking it at the end of the day the work it would be too late as the work would have to be redone or corrected.

Overpriced lots and options. Did not meet my expectations

Laundry room door needed to be relocated to allow access to the washing machine. Drees very helpful but still waiting for the repair probably due to current shortage of workers.

Several miscommunications on Drees’ end during building process that cost us a lot of time and money. Building experience almost entirely dependent on foreman assigned to job and their individual communication skills. Craftsmanship much lower than expected and several major issues with home at close. Once you close they ghost you and it’s extremely difficult to utilize your home warranty. Drees does not stand by their product.

Not sure there is a good builder out there, but Drees is definitely not one. The building process is stressful enough, but when you throw bad quality workmanship, delays, laziness/sloppiness, it just compounds the issues.
