Drees first neighborhood of semi custom homes. Unfortunately they are not ready for such homes from the inexperienced sales staff to building team. They are focused on cost cutting rather than doing the right thing. Only benefit is 5% down upon contract. There is a lack of accountability and ownership from Drees so if you want to buy here just be aware and manage your build as appropriate.

The buying process was very smooth with Camden at the helm. This is our second home we had built with Drees and we enjoyed it so much the first time we thought we would do it again. Both homes were built professionally with very few problems which were corrected immediately. We would have a third home built by Drees if need be.

After having 5 new homes built, I’d say I’m getting familiar with the “standard” and typical experience. Drees was definitely my best experience thus far. Overall, the home is beautiful and well constructed. We had typical issues, and our building manager resolved those to our standard with little resistance. We were on time and maintained the expected building schedule. We had frequent communication during the process and felt informed. Overall, this could have been a 5 star experience. However it may or may not be associated with Drees, the most unfavorable experiences were outside of the home: the land. The landscape is terrible. The ground is extremely bumpy, the sod is hardly surviving even with massive amounts of water and care, several shrubs have died, and the plant choices aren’t impressive. Not only that, but Drees and the developer were not in the same page and so we were given mixed information about how the common space associated with us would be finished. Finally, with complaints, the developer stepped up and has (verbally) confirmed they will be developing the common area to create consistency with the rest of the neighborhood and enhance how unsightly it is currently. Drees is a great company! I’ve been quite happy to work with them! Everyone says to be wary of home builders, but Drees showed that they are not like the rest. Everyone on the team was extremely helpful and truly made it clear that our satisfaction was their top priority. Thank you for our wonderful new home!

My home buying experience with Drees was very easy and streamlined. They have everything written from start to finish of what to expect. Once moved in, if I complained of anything being incorrected, Drees would have the issue corrected within 24 hours. Great customer services.

I feel like I have been mislead in the process of purchasing this home. I asked about having a realtor and was told I didn’t need one. In the design center, I was presented with the high end items. I didn’t realize I was making selections that put my home higher than other homes. I was sold a premium lot that I’m now dealing with kudzu which will take over my yard if not taken care of. This has been a terrible purchase.

Peyton has been fantastic during our building process. He has been responsive and always so kind and patient. He has been great to work with and we would highly recommend him. Our biggest disappointment has nothing to do with Peyton but has been the state of the neighborhood entrance which we understand to be the developer responsibility. Regardless, it is terrible and not a first impressive you would like in a million-dollar neighborhood. The monument has no lighting and the entrance has absolutely no lighting. The roadway leading to the neighborhood by the pond of "Wyncliffe Pond" is terrible and has had fallen dead trees there from the beginning. We had initially thought it would all be resolved but all of these issues have remained for months. Very disappointing and very sad first impression to a Drees Neighborhood. ... More

Overall, our experience with Drees was great. The build came in on budget and sooner than expected. Follow up service has been superb. Our only issue was with the initial salesperson- communication was excellent until the contract was signed at which time communication became difficult.

Our home was built and delivered as promised. We had a few small items that need to be corrected and was done in a timely manner. We have purchase 4 homes in the community, two with Dress and two with other builders. Dress home is a far superior built home.

We have had several problems that are not fixed, like water pressure is so low that we can use only one shower at a time. Or watering the yard, we can water either the front yard or back yard not both. If a dishwasher or washer is running we cannot flush the toilet??? Bathroom fixture falling apart, window seal not installed properly, door threshold not installed properly, dishwasher needed a new motor already, oven needed work to heat up. Plus more items??? In our first month and still not repaired? Grass and bushes are dead even tho with watering as much as possible. A landscaper said the Bermuda grass needs sun or it will not grow and the plants was installed during the heat of summer and were dying before they planted them. Overall satisfied with the buying experience, except that Drees should have been considerate with some changes during the construction phase. Was charged 1k for every change. We also got charged extra for the head walls instead of being included in the base price. The homeowners are also expecting tye builder and HOA to add more street lights and provide walkways in the neighborhood.

We were looking into number of homes for almost a year. Dress homes checks all of our requirements perfectly in terms of craftsmanship and design. We are so pleased with how smooth the closing process was. They helped us to fulfill our dream to buy just the right house.

From the first inquiry to the closing, Drees was very quick to respond with pertinent, accurate information. Our home was built according to the options we chose, and the Drees staff was extremely helpful. While we did have the option of using several different builders to complete our dream home, we really feel that we made the right decision by choosing Drees.
