The whole process was easy from start to finish. We found the layout we liked and they helped us make changes to the base model then were very attentive in design. Our contractor has been helpful from start to finish and is still readily available when things come up. I highly recommend Drees.

This is our second Drees home. The quality of materials is substantially lower than our home 25 years ago. The workmanship is good. Some designs are a little strange like the placement of switches. Some of the carpentry seems off like molding pieces that don't fit together correctly. The responsiveness of the builder to fix items has been good.

Overall a good experience we were a little sticker shocked with some upgrades.This was are first new build and would definitely recommend Drees.

Overall have loved every step of the building process with Drees. There are a few things I wish could change such as larger sample sizes or at least installed pictures of all of the different choices. I wish some things were included and not so pricey because with all of the trim, it really adds up! Some of the trim work is not as tight or neat as we would like but once the furniture was in the house, we didn’t notice it as much. Sean was great to work with as was George from start to finish.

The builders and labor workers do not care in the quality of their work. Really pay attention to your warranties and things like that because Drees will not point things out to you. Or try to go above and beyond to help you.

This was our second time building a new home and while we did not have a bad experience with our previous builder, the overall experience and quality of our Dress home was exceptional. The start of the building process was easy and convenient with the community sales representative. Once construction was about to begin the communication with our construction manager, Ed, was thorough and consistent. Amanda at the design center was wonderful to work with and helped make the selection process as easy as possible. The only frustration we had during the entire process was getting responses from Dress with information lenders needed. What ultimately set Drees apart from our previous builder was Ed. Ed went above and beyond to ensure we had a great building experience and were happy with our home upon closing. This is the fifth home we’ve built. This is also the best and smoothest build we’ve had. A well run company. Lots of checks and balances so the process goes smoothly. The employees are knowledgeable and quick to respond. A weekly update was made by our builder which we appreciated. Very pleased with Drees!

Drees made home building seamless, they stayed on schedule, are very professional and are responsive to anything you may need. We would definitely build again with Drees!

Building with Drees was a great decision. Drees has a process in place that helps the homeowner navigate the entire build. Michele in sales kicked it off and got us started. Knowledgeable, friendly and professional. The design center to choose all our materials was a good experience. The Construction Manager, Fred, was the very best. He communicated with us the entire time. We got weekly calls with updates. He answered all of our questions and resolved any issues that came up. Fred is a true professional. The team that got me in here was excellent. They worked so hard to make sure I could get in according to the timeframe that works for me. Not one element of quality was sacrificed. One of the small concerns I’ve had has been addressed immediately. I couldn’t be more happy. The reason why you did not get a five on quality and workmanship was because the cabinets that you sell with these half million dollar houses are junk. And the light fixture to sell cost $120 at Lowe’s. I think that’s shameful. Otherwise I can’t complain about anything here.

Overall the building experience was good with the builder and this was primarily because of the people we worked with at the sales office, Debbie Meyers, the design center, Amanda Keefer, the builder rep, Kris Klein initially and then Anthony Lombardo later. They were all very helpful and made the building process very easy. The main complaint I have with Drees is that corporate market themselves as a "custom builder" and this is very deceptive. I have built two other homes with true custom builders and the reason I disagree with their labeling themselves custom builder is the very limited choices you have and the restricted means of selecting and buying all elements of what goes into the home. They restrict you to use only their suppliers for everything that goes into the home and you have to almost fight with them to let you go outside their supply chain to get what you want if their suppliers don't have what you are looking for. I imagine the main reason for this is that they gain monetarily from you using their suppliers. If you have never built a home before with a custom builder, you would probably not know the difference, but Drees is not a true "custom builder". Overall I am satisfied with the home but allowing more latitude in using some of my own suppliers would have made the experience better. I did go out and get appliances separately because I could not get what I wanted, ie, black stainless finish appliance thru their supplier. The credit I received for this was ridiculous. For all appliances, except for the microwave, they gave me a $1300 credit on all appliances. You can't even buy a refrigerator for this amount of money. Typical greedy corporate practices. ... More

Great experience from start to finish! I was looking to downsize and new build in a nice area, with very little time to finalize. Kelly and Andy made the whole process simple, stress-free and fun!

From first introduction, exploring options, picking the perfect location to build, selecting a home to build that met our needs, selecting options and throughout the entire building process..,,we cannot say enough about all of the staff!! Everyone was very knowledgeable, thorough and hands on helpful to make this a stress free experience. We only chose to leave our first build Drees home to downsize, We’ll quality build!!!
