Horrible craftsmanship. The builder is not taking responsibility. Won’t answer my questions. I closed and the house wasn’t even done. Took an extra month to be considered done. Don’t buy from drees. I and countless others have had a magnitude of problems.

We still have blue tape all around our house on things that aren’t fixed. We are missing a cabinet in our basement bar because the cabinet installers left a broken cabinet, like we wouldn’t notice. When we opened the cabinet door, it just fell off. Also, our flooring was put in so terrible that we have lumps and bumps all over the place. Don’t give time expectations that are unrealistic considering materials delay. Options, like roof colors and house are poor!!! Black roofs should be banned in souther states like Florida. It was very easy to go in, sign and get a preapproval, but after that is where it gets interesting: - Market Manager quiets responding to texts and emails. - Mortgage officer leaves First Equity Mortgage and does not tell the borrowers. Would not recommend - poor quality craftsmanship and unreliable contractors who install and use broken and damaged materials. To get anything done correctly, you have to escalate up the chain of command. Terrible. Stay on top of everything as they do cut corners.

I would not hire Drees to build a dog house much less a new home for us. There were multiple errors throughout the building process that took months to rectify. We had to change lots because they measured the 1st one incorrectly and our home would not fit on the lot. The Marketing Manager could not effectively explain what a garden basement was. Our laundry room was inverted from the blue prints and installed incorrectly. It had to be ripped out and redone. The tresses across the ceiling had 1 that was almost an 1" longer than the rest. Very poor quality of the grading, landscape, they cut the trees in my lot but not removed the stumps, Too much noise from 2nd and 3rd floor below the carpet, it looks like below the carper ceiling not installed properly(20% area) making more noise, carpet nails not installed properly hurt you while walking, have to wait 90 days to fix some of these issues, poor quality of the painting work, wrong colors installed on ceiling, Instead of fixing and improving the quality they just talk normal buzz word as per the code. We have had several problems that are not fixed, like water pressure is so low that we can use only one shower at a time. Or watering the yard, we can water either the front yard or back yard not both. If a dishwasher or washer is running we cannot flush the toilet??? We recently moved into a newly build Drees Home. The materials used in the house are very cheap. If a car drives by, the entire house shakes. It's very clear that they used the most inexpensive materials to save money on the build. Drees provides a product that is low in quality, but high in price. They mislead you every step of the way just to get your money and make promises that they do not follow through on. Their customer service lacks luster as does their upper management. Customer concerns and complaints are not taken care of and you are left to deal with it. I give Drees a fat 0 on everything above. I've had problems since day I moved in the most major being extensive mold. Drees has been unhelpful from the beginning. I would never recommend them to anyone and dissuade anyone thinking about it with my experience. Buying a Drees home is the biggest regret of my life.
