It was very easy to go in, sign and get a preapproval, but after that is where it gets interesting: - Market Manager quiets responding to texts and emails. - Mortgage officer leaves First Equity Mortgage and does not tell the borrowers. No email returns, no VM messages, nothing! Found out 2 months before closing that Mortgage Lender left. Had to reapply and start the process all over. - First Builder was awesome. Very forthcoming and attentive. Second Builder after first Builder quiet is overwhelmed and non responsive sometimes. Very down to earth though. - Closing date was implied multiple times without correction, but turned out to be severalweeks later. It was thrown off as a covid related issue. Selection experience was really bad. And back yard you need to re do it again if you want a decent yard

Would not recommend - poor quality craftsmanship and unreliable contractors who install and use broken and damaged materials. To get anything done correctly, you have to escalate up the chain of command. Terrible. Stay on top of everything as they do cut corners.

Drees makes a good home and they have some beautiful designs and layouts. Those are the only good things I can say. Their communication, professionalism, and accountability are all 1 out of 10 (unless zero is an option). They don't adhere to any sort of schedule. When they miss dates they don't communicate the reasons why unless they're asked multiple times. They showed time and time again that they didn't care how stressful the home building process is for the customer. I would recommend any potential buyer avoid Drees at all costs. Their business practices rob the customer of any excitement and their lack of communication and accountability leave you feeling helpless and hopeless. Don't stand behind their work

I would not hire Drees to build a dog house much less a new home for us. There were multiple errors throughout the building process that took months to rectify. We had to change lots because they measured the 1st one incorrectly and our home would not fit on the lot. The Marketing Manager could not effectively explain what a garden basement was. Our laundry room was inverted from the blue prints and installed incorrectly. It had to be ripped out and redone. The tresses across the ceiling had 1 that was almost an 1" longer than the rest. We had to have huge holes cut out in our Master Bedroom and Bonus Room after the rooms had been completed and redone. The ceilings are still not complete and will have to have the drywall fixed at our 1 year warranty. The trades did a horrible job on the work done in the home. The trim is uneven. The grout is missing in sections in our master bathroom. There is wall paint on our white trim. There is paint on our floors. The cosmetics of the home are poorly done and do not represent the quality one would expect with the price point of our home. Buyer Beware. ... More

The home was not worth what we paid and we arevsyill having issues.

Very poor quality of the grading, landscape, they cut the trees in my lot but not removed the stumps, Too much noise from 2nd and 3rd floor below the carpet, it looks like below the carper ceiling not installed properly(20% area) making more noise, carpet nails not installed properly hurt you while walking, have to wait 90 days to fix some of these issues, poor quality of the painting work, wrong colors installed on ceiling, Instead of fixing and improving the quality they just talk normal buzz word as per the code. Its not worth for the amount we paid and services. One last thing fireplace fire was triggered automatically due tow some power glitch, have to stop main panel power breaker to stop it for the entire living room. ... More

We have had several problems that are not fixed, like water pressure is so low that we can use only one shower at a time. Or watering the yard, we can water either the front yard or back yard not both. If a dishwasher or washer is running we cannot flush the toilet??? Bathroom fixture falling apart, window seal not installed properly, door threshold not installed properly, dishwasher needed a new motor already, oven needed work to heat up. Plus more items??? In our first month and still not repaired? Grass and bushes are dead even tho with watering as much as possible. A landscaper said the Bermuda grass needs sun or it will not grow and the plants was installed during the heat of summer and were dying before they planted them. We recently moved into a newly build Drees Home. The materials used in the house are very cheap. If a car drives by, the entire house shakes. It's very clear that they used the most inexpensive materials to save money on the build. The neighborhood is a loud construction site even though our street is completely finished and they assured us there would be no noise in our area. I've contacted them several times for a number of issues and have not heard back. They assure you when you move in that they will be there for you but it's been quite the opposite. I've not heard from anyone since we moved in when there were supposed to be multiple scheduled touch points. They also don't answer their phones when you call. I have nothing good to say except that we are glad we made a profit off of this bad decision.

Nothing but smoking mirrors and lies

Drees provides a product that is low in quality, but high in price. They mislead you every step of the way just to get your money and make promises that they do not follow through on. Their customer service lacks luster as does their upper management. Customer concerns and complaints are not taken care of and you are left to deal with it. If you complain, watch out for retaliation. Two days after we closed, ironically our sewer drain backed up into our basement from a bunch of paper towels that were shoved down it. I recommend you go with a different builder so you can have a beautiful house that is not overpriced, cheap looking, and everything works appropriately. ... More

all work is very chip not like Professional and backyard landscape is very bed

I give Drees a fat 0 on everything above. I've had problems since day I moved in the most major being extensive mold. Drees has been unhelpful from the beginning. I would never recommend them to anyone and dissuade anyone thinking about it with my experience. Buying a Drees home is the biggest regret of my life.

There was lack of any communication for 5 months or more change of builders several times and cheaper materials used in this particular unit. Not quality as I expected.

I was lied to from the Mortgage Co to the Construction.

Buyer be ware. If you build with this company, you may need to hire an attorney.

The workmanship is horrific

The quality of workmanship was no where close to what I expected from Drees. Trusting Drees and their partners became harder and harder as time went out.

Not sure there is a good builder out there, but Drees is definitely not one. The building process is stressful enough, but when you throw bad quality workmanship, delays, laziness/sloppiness, it just compounds the issues.
