Getting issues that were done poorly, incorrectly or not at all (some I realize were material b/orders) so we could move in, then takes weeks-months for resolution. Being told "We'll take care of it" needs to then be followed with a definitive "By whom and by when". There is a 60 day follow up that should be done within 2 weeks, not 2 months, for a $560K house. Time, thus closing on the house, is way more important to Drees than quality at time of possession.

Overall, extremely disappointed with the poor quality of craftsmanship and lack of attention to detail. For the price of the home, there are far too many issues and quality issues to be pleased.

The quality of workmanship was no where close to what I expected from Drees. Trusting Drees and their partners became harder and harder as time went out.

I love my new home but the schedule was months after promised with no sense of urgency. I have also been in 4 months and still daily trying to get items finished.

I am concerned about drop off from porch to patio which is dangerous but manager tells me it is up to code also no handrail by existing step that was untreated also dangerous

We are very pleased with our Drees experience. From sales, to building, to warranty, expectations were clear. Our many questions and issues were addressed quickly along the way. The home quality is superb, no complaints.

Several miscommunications on Drees’ end during building process that cost us a lot of time and money. Building experience almost entirely dependent on foreman assigned to job and their individual communication skills. Craftsmanship much lower than expected and several major issues with home at close. Once you close they ghost you and it’s extremely difficult to utilize your home warranty. Drees does not stand by their product.

With any new home construction, we had small issues. And, we have had some very minor after close issues. The people at Drees from the on site manager to the warranty people have been there for us every step of the way.

Not sure there is a good builder out there, but Drees is definitely not one. The building process is stressful enough, but when you throw bad quality workmanship, delays, laziness/sloppiness, it just compounds the issues.

Their vendor selection is really poor. We’ve had multiple issues just in the first 4 months of living here that include but are not limited to: a gas leak, sewage backup in the basement, foundation cracks with water leaks, dirty carpet upon move-in, unfixable mold buildup in grout, and a custom built-in in our living room that still isn’t complete. It has all in all been a very stressful experience.

I would not hire Drees to build a dog house much less a new home for us. There were multiple errors throughout the building process that took months to rectify. We had to change lots because they measured the 1st one incorrectly and our home would not fit on the lot. The Marketing Manager could not effectively explain what a garden basement was. Our laundry room was inverted from the blue prints and installed incorrectly. It had to be ripped out and redone. The tresses across the ceiling had 1 that was almost an 1" longer than the rest. We had to have huge holes cut out in our Master Bedroom and Bonus Room after the rooms had been completed and redone. The ceilings are still not complete and will have to have the drywall fixed at our 1 year warranty. The trades did a horrible job on the work done in the home. The trim is uneven. The grout is missing in sections in our master bathroom. There is wall paint on our white trim. There is paint on our floors. The cosmetics of the home are poorly done and do not represent the quality one would expect with the price point of our home. Buyer Beware. ... More
