Workmanship in general was good except masonry work which shoul and can be greatly improved. Responsiveness to issues before closing and customer review were great but not so much after that. Our experience with builder was considered satisfied. So far after 2.5 months in the house we have no big problems.

The overall pre and post sale was seamless. Drees staff listened to our needs and addressed every one of them. Even when they could not do what I requested, the offered alternative solutions and never left my side. Highly recommend Drees homes for the quality of the build, creative design features and extremely responsive staff.

Sales reps were nice. Project manager was good. Quality workmanship was questionable. Many things are not correct. Gas fireplace doesn’t work. Microwave is giving error codes. Cracks in foundation with leaks. Scratches on front and back doors, so they needed to be replaced. Fusion wiring was faulty and needed to be replaced. Fusion sensor at back doo r does not work correctly now. Never had so many issues when buying a new home. Everyone is nice though and they come back to try to remedy the situation. Hopefully it will all be taken care of.

I will not purchase from another builder in my lifetime. I have loved the experience with Drees Homes from start to finish. Every person involved throughout the process treated me like family. Truly cared about ME and that was so impressive. And now that I’m in my new home, I LOVE it.!

Easy to work with, pleasurable experience

Very enjoyable experience throughout. The choices at the Drees design center are on the expensive side.

After having 5 new homes built, I’d say I’m getting familiar with the “standard” and typical experience. Drees was definitely my best experience thus far. Overall, the home is beautiful and well constructed. We had typical issues, and our building manager resolved those to our standard with little resistance. We were on time and maintained the expected building schedule. We had frequent communication during the process and felt informed. Overall, this could have been a 5 star experience. However it may or may not be associated with Drees, the most unfavorable experiences were outside of the home: the land. The landscape is terrible. The ground is extremely bumpy, the sod is hardly surviving even with massive amounts of water and care, several shrubs have died, and the plant choices aren’t impressive. Not only that, but Drees and the developer were not in the same page and so we were given mixed information about how the common space associated with us would be finished. Finally, with complaints, the developer stepped up and has (verbally) confirmed they will be developing the common area to create consistency with the rest of the neighborhood and enhance how unsightly it is currently. I’d say since the entire experience from my perspective was owned by Drees, this was a solid 4/5, and had true potential to be a 5/5. ... More

Dave was very informative and helpful with what to expect when moving into my Townhome. My salesman was doing his best, but not quite up to speed on what to expect when moving here.

We had a great experience in building with Drees!

The craftmanship with building, electrical, plumbing, tile, and finishing work was outstanding. The touch-up paint keeps from rating 5 stars. There are too many small sections of flat paint that did not blend in and are noticeable. In some areas of the bathrooms the caulk job looked rush.

Jason, Keith and Joey made the building process work out great and all did an excellent job..

I had a great experience with purchasing my home!

We had a wonderful experience with Drees and would definitely build with them again. When there was an issue our builder was incredibly receptive and addressed our concerns right away. There were many wonderful choices in the design center for all of our choices!

Michael was great to work with - if an issue arose he was on top of it immediately. We were very impressed with his coordination of all the sub-contractors to complete our home on time. The one item that needs to be addressed is the lack of communication between David, the Design Center consultant, and Michael. One would we would have a mantle on the fireplace while the other would say no to a mantle and it would not be included in the house. One would say we would not have an arch going into the dining room. We ended up with an arch but not knowing was frustrating.It was evident that the right hand didn’t know what the left was doing. I suggest a meeting with all involved with the building of a home should sit down together to confirm what the new homeowners should expect would be very beneficial and would eliminate some of the stress in building a new home. ... Drees is a great company! I’ve been quite happy to work with them! Everyone says to be wary of home builders, but Drees showed that they are not like the rest. Everyone on the team was extremely helpful and truly made it clear that our satisfaction was their top priority. Thank you for our wonderful new home!

New home is nice to have, but issues have arisen within 90 days of moving in. Questionable HOA which has never been seen or resolved issues around the property. I.e., noisy neighbors, loud parties and frequent garage sales in one home.

We have built three homes over the past 24 years and I found this process to be the best out of all three

It was amazing experience buying Drees Homes in VA. We completed all process remotely from Colorado, we used to get weekly call on updates on process

The condo choices were all great options. We found one that perfectly suited our wish list. All the extras in the condo and the Drees employees (especially Sam Z) have been fantastic. We found a few craftsmanship issues, that have been corrected. Also need more parking pads and wish Drees was open to us having a club house (want from the residents). But the pool and community so far are like living in paradise.

This home has exactly what we were looking for. There are lots of small details that make it special. Love it.

Although our villa was already built from our interaction with sales to our closing everything on the Drees end was flawless and a great experience. We had to change closing by a day and they were very nice in accommodating. Their program for contingency buying g helped us from having to take a bridge loan. We only had a few issues on move in that were minor and fixed within a day. Highly recommend

We purchased a new spec home. It is beautiful!! Closing in our house was quick and seamless. The price was very reasonable. Our salesman, Ben, was very helpful and patient with us. I would recommend a Drew’s home for those who appreciate quality construction.
