For what we spent on our new house, it's really good. Some inconsistent communication btw original sales person, building sup, new sales person...

Staff are great. Quick to answer questions and fix concerns.

Cameron was very communicative. I received a weekly update on what had been done and what was going to be worked on the next week. Very pleased with the quality of the house.

Marketing Manager – Noah: Noah is truly one of the kindest, most genuine people I’ve ever worked with. He was patient, understanding, honest, and incredibly easy to work with. He clearly communicated all of our options, provided valuable guidance, and was consistently supportive—from the moment we expressed interest in the home all the way through closing. He even remained reachable afterward, which speaks volumes about his dedication. If I could give him 10 stars, I absolutely would! Design Studio – Suzanne: Suzanne was simply amazing. She made the design process fun and exciting. Her warmth, patience, and thoroughness made us feel confident every step of the way. She answered all our questions, walked us through pricing, and helped bring our vision to life. She genuinely cared, and it showed in every interaction. Builder – Bill: Bill was approachable, professional, and great to communicate with. We brought in an external inspector for both the pre-drywall and final inspections, and he had nothing but praise for the build quality—testament to Bill’s attention to detail and the pride he takes in his work. It’s been over two months since we moved in, and we’re incredibly happy with our home. Many people describe the home-buying journey as stressful, but that wasn't the case for us. It was a great, easy, and fast experience. Everyone was very helpful and responsive.

Great experience and the team was very accommodating and helpful. Fred, Michele, and Amanda were great to work with. We love our home.

We looked at multiple builders in our area, and Drees clearly delivered the highest value. Our sales rep was attentive and informative. The design center is fantastic, and our designer greatly helped in the decision-making process. Our builder was on top of organizing multiple work crews and quickly handled most concerns that we raised. We've had some minor issues in the house completion, but all-in-all a very positive experience.

Overall the home is as expected. There have been issues with the quality of some materials (windows leaking) and sub work that was completed in home. We are return customers and have had more issues with this home.

Great follow up process after purchase

We were treated well by the Drees staff, just disappointed on the quality of the interior drywall work given the price of the home.

The lack of urgency to fix the items found at the week before closing walk through has been disappointing… we highlighted ~15 items and we are approaching 99 days and we still have items open. The lack of respect by some of the subcontractors has been shocking as they fix one item and damage another item that requires someone else to come fix it.

The team that got me in here was excellent. They worked so hard to make sure I could get in according to the timeframe that works for me. Not one element of quality was sacrificed. One of the small concerns I’ve had has been addressed immediately. I couldn’t be more happy. The reason why you did not get a five on quality and workmanship was because the cabinets that you sell with these half million dollar houses are junk. And the light fixture to sell cost $120 at Lowe’s. I think that’s shameful. Otherwise I can’t complain about anything here.

We liked the overall buying experience. They are custom builders and worked with us for any structural design changes. We have liked the quality of the work. Thank you

Peyton has been fantastic during our building process. He has been responsive and always so kind and patient. He has been great to work with and we would highly recommend him. Our biggest disappointment has nothing to do with Peyton but has been the state of the neighborhood entrance which we understand to be the developer responsibility. Regardless, it is terrible and not a first impressive you would like in a million-dollar neighborhood. The monument has no lighting and the entrance has absolutely no lighting. The roadway leading to the neighborhood by the pond of "Wyncliffe Pond" is terrible and has had fallen dead trees there from the beginning. We had initially thought it would all be resolved but all of these issues have remained for months. Very disappointing and very sad first impression to a Drees Neighborhood. ... More

The process end to end was great. Great communication, design selections, and updates. Anytime I had a question/concern, our builder responded and we could walk though the topics.

Excellent people to work with builders realtors all the way down everyone was courteous and professional, and took excellent care of us

Overall the building experience was good with the builder and this was primarily because of the people we worked with at the sales office, Debbie Meyers, the design center, Amanda Keefer, the builder rep, Kris Klein initially and then Anthony Lombardo later. They were all very helpful and made the building process very easy. The main complaint I have with Drees is that corporate market themselves as a "custom builder" and this is very deceptive. I have built two other homes with true custom builders and the reason I disagree with their labeling themselves custom builder is the very limited choices you have and the restricted means of selecting and buying all elements of what goes into the home. They restrict you to use only their suppliers for everything that goes into the home and you have to almost fight with them to let you go outside their supply chain to get what you want if their suppliers don't have what you are looking for. I imagine the main reason for this is that they gain monetarily from you using their suppliers. If you have never built a home before with a custom builder, you would probably not know the difference, but Drees is not a true "custom builder". Overall I am satisfied with the home but allowing more latitude in using some of my own suppliers would have made the experience better. I did go out and get appliances separately because I could not get what I wanted, ie, black stainless finish appliance thru their supplier. The credit I received for this was ridiculous. For all appliances, except for the microwave, they gave me a $1300 credit on all appliances. You can't even buy a refrigerator for this amount of money. Typical greedy corporate practices. ... More

The house craftsmanship is terrible seriously 90% of the stuff in this house looks like a blind man did it.I will never buy drees the rest of my life. For the price of the house they cut corners every way they could

I would recommend Elevate to anyone. Even though some of my criticisms are harsh, the overall process, responsiveness of Chad and many of the Elevate team seems to care about customer satisfaction and that outweighs my concerns. I do think do to some lesser quality materials used the value is less than desired but still an OK value - not good, not great, but OK. Now the details. First the great - Chad is an amazing project manager. He is responsive, helpful, and knowledgeable. Megan in the design center was a pleasure to work with and Elevate had many nice upgrade and standard options. Todd was great too. He was very helpful with the design of the house and incorporated many of his ideas. Also Elevate has been very supportive even with some challenges with Hamilton County zoning. Huge props to the team for leaning in and ensuring my wife and I are supported and taken care of. Now the not so great: 1) The TRIM AND Cabinet DOORs Elevate uses are incredibly cheap particle board. It breaks and chips with the slightest touch. For the price charged use real wood. 2) The Garage Doors and Standard Opener are also only OK. They do offer an upgraded opener. Take it! While it is only marginally better the standard is quite low end. 3) DO NOT paint your GARAGE door. Make them upgrade to 9600 series which has better R value and will come colored. Painting will chip, scratch and make the doors stick and is terrible. A maintenance nightmare! I am asking Elevate to switch my doors to 9600 series because after 2 months my doors already need touched up again. IF Elevate does the right thing AND updates my doors to the 9600 series, I will update this review. Again when people are buying $800K to $1.5M homes, get the better garage doors, openers, and trim. 4) LVP installers did an ok job. Elevate has already agreed to fix unlevel areas so huge props to Elevate 5) I was not thrilled they elevate saves money by doing the following: 1) uses 24” on center for none load bearing walls 2) uses 2x4s for the roof joists and does not make it so they can have attic storage 3) uses I-Beams for floor joists versus engineered floor joists 6) was disappointed that Elevate will not 1) install Garage ladder due to number non load bearing weak 2x4s used as joists 4) does not offer a garage floor coating 5) concrete was poured WAY too wet and ended up cracking - yes concrete cracks, BUT it does not have too - on the plus side they do install a vapor barrier which gives added protection. 6) uses Guardian which did NOT center my speakers properly in my Media room even after I asked the guy to use a tape measure and NOT eye it and does not offer a ring like recording service only offers full monitoring security. 7) did not hook up the fridge water line and had a major leak under the tub which required part of the ceiling to be tore out and replaced. I am concerned about the plumbers and the quality of the work 8) Electricians installed a 50A breaker when a 60A was clearly specified AND put home lines in my secondary panel and I also clearly stated I did not want those in my garage panel - did it because it was “easier and cheaper” for them I am hopeful many of my current concerns will be addressed at the 90 review and if they are, I will update the review. Again, overall a good experience and I would recommend Elevate to any, I am concerned about the 20 year quality of certain items due to some of the construction methods and material used, but time will tell. If I had it to do again I would have insisted on the better Garage Door and opener from the start, told them I wanted 16” on center construction, insisted on real wood trim and cabinet doors AT a FAIR price - already charging insane amounts for cheap particle board upgrades-, use structural wood for joists so it can add an attic space above the garage, AND use engineered floor joists versus I-Beams - if you ever want to run something in the ceilings I-Beams make it 10 times harder. ... The entire experience from first walking into the model home to our closing was wonderful. We absolutely love our home.

Our Drees home was built while we live out of state. Pictures were not uploaded to portal as promised to assist us in monitoring the progress. Punch list items were not (and still are not) done as promised. We informed Drees we did not need to close until February of 2025. We were forced to close two months ago with promises that all of the remaining issues would be complete by Thanksgiving. As of the writing of this review, the house is still not complete. This means we are not only paying a mortgage for an incomplete home, but we are also paying utilities, maintenance, monthly minimums at the community center, etc. More importantly, the warranty period on the home runs from closing, not completion without any budging from Drees in this regard. In addition, we have allowed access to our home to finish the work. Drees' workers are treating our home like a jobsite, not a home. The are leaving work partially complete with no information on when it will be complete. They are leaving raw materials with exposed nails on my porch and inside the foyer of my home. They are leaving it filthy. Complaints are ignored. Finally, DO NOT get any custom work. We paid over $23,000 for a wine bar area that looks like it is from IKEA. The working pantry that cost $16,000 had to be done twice because the first time was not pursuant to the drawings. We paid over 1.3 million dollars for an “estate” house, yet, feel, at times, more like we are being treated like a customer buying a low level builder’s grade track home. ... More

Overall, our experience with Drees was great. The build came in on budget and sooner than expected. Follow up service has been superb. Our only issue was with the initial salesperson- communication was excellent until the contract was signed at which time communication became difficult.

Thanks to Drees team (Brett, Nick & Matt), our home build went smoothly and we appreciated the constant information and updates. For being in a different state (TX), the remote factor was of minimal disadvantage. Greatly appreciated the professionalism and customer service approach at every stage.

Overall happy with our experience. The Market manager was very responsive. Design center rep also very helpful. Overall quality is good; however, baseboards are made from particle board type material - already chipping after 2 months. We’re not happy with microwave/oven combo. The power level of the microwave is too low and controls take too many touches to accomplish a quick warm. Since the controls are shared, the oven is cumbersome to use too. Be sure to try out the design center appliances to ensure you like them. Having some electrical issues but Drees has been quick to help. Even with the above issues, I would give 4.5 stars. ... More
