The Drees team was amazing from start to finish ! Bruce, Rob and Amanda were informative, attentative and proactive at making sure our new home is exactly what we wanted. I would definitely recommend Drees to anyone looking to build a new home because I'd use then again.

When picking out your paint no ve dries as the cheapest crappyest paint company in Tennessee and will only choose to paint flat paint

We have thoroughly enjoyed our new drees home. Their responsiveness has been incredible since the first day we moved in.

Make sure you walk through and nitpick the house. Contractors try and cut corners especially the finishing crew. If you have animals do not get the real hardwood or engineered hardwood. Make sure you double check the appliances you get are correct. Plan on doing a lot more landscaping.

Punch list items are numerous with very delayed or little to no response

Quality is subpar to say the least. Aesthetically the house is beautiful until you get into the details. Oversight on issues is non-existent and there’s no follow through. I would never recommend a Drees home.

Love the floor plan but very disappointed in the quality of workmanship and lack of follow through from builder.

I believe the builder tries to meet the needs of the homeowners, but they just have a hard time getting individual subcontractors and workers to come at scheduled times to complete the needed work on the home. We have been in the home about two and a half months and still have lots of items that need repairing or completion, but we are still waiting on individuals to show up. The quality would be better if the subcontractors work was supervised more closely by the project managers.

The entire Drees Homes team was absolutely wonderful to work with during the construction of our new home using the Build on your Lot program. A special thank you to the realtor, Design Center staff, and builder - all were extremely professional and responsive to all our questions during the process.

I liked the overall experience. It was delayed three months and that became a problem because we had sold our house and we were living in a short term rental. Had we known that it would take 3 months longer, we would have rented for long term. The drywall and paint have been a problem. We used to build custom homes and I think the drywall and paint sub contractors were average and not good. They have had a lot of bad spots to repair. The stairs all have to be re-stained because the cleaners from the paint company left there towels all over the stairs while cleaning the rod iron spindles on the handrail because there was paint all over them, and they took the finish off the stair treads. Garage has split wood between the cylinder blocks and drywall. Master shower downstairs Door was not closing right before we closed on the house and fixed it then and now the problem continues after 2 uses of opening and closing the door.

We decided to build with Drees, because we believed they built superior homes. We do like our home and think aesthetically it looks nice. Unfortunately several issues have clouded our experience. Several of the subs who worked on our house did a sloppy, careless job and would also often leave food, drink, and trash onsite after they left for the day. Days before closing I noticed and killed a large cockroach in the house and was hoping it was just a one-off. Unfortunately, that was not the case and we are now experiencing a cockroach infestation that we are trying to mitigate ourselves and with exterminators. We believe that a dirty construction site and a lack of sealing the house properly have likely led to this issue. A brand new house should not have cockroaches.There were also times when a sub would be sent to fix something and it would not be done correctly, so another sub would be sent out. We would suggest looking into hiring a new pool of subs for these reasons. Our house has been under construction in one way or another since we moved in (2.5 months ago) due to items on our punch list during our walkthrough along with a few additional items we noticed after moving in. We have truly appreciated our contractor, Josh’s responsiveness and willingness to fix the issues, but our problem is that there have been ALOT of issues. Three of our windows have been leaking and have caused water damage and have caused a mold smell in the house. We appreciate the responsiveness of Jimmy to have them fixed, but unfortunately the window replacements may take a while to come in and other broken windows that happened during construction have not yet been fixed. To put it simply, we do not believe this should be the experience when buying a new home. We have had one issue after another and are getting tired of new problems popping up and have concerns over what future problems may arise. If we could do it again, we would likely go with a different builder and hope for better results. ... More

Everything was great from start to finish! Some small bumps in the road but those were completely unavoidable. Drees was very responsive to any issue. Danny our sales person was amazing and we could not have asked for a better builder than Mark. If I ever build again, I will most likely use Drees!

Everyone from our amazing sales rep Carrie to our builder Jack to our warranty manager Tom have been on top of things & very responsive as well has a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend!!! Gorgeous homes and you work with the A team!

Drees offers a high quality home. The overall experience to build was not the horrible, but for the price of the home…there is definitely room for improvement. We love the completed work, although 2 months into the home (after closing) we are still waiting on a few minor things to be resolved.

One of the things that attracted us to Drees was their willingness to adapt their standard build to fit our needs. In our case the changes were mainly cosmetic but others in our subdivision had more extensive changes regarding room layouts. We had previously done a new build with a different builder who was totally inflexible to changes so working with Drees felt like we were more involved in our new house. Of course any builder is only as good as their subcontractors and unfortunately in our case the concrete guys were less then stellar. To their credit Drees did attempt to correct the issues but a repair job is never as good as being done correctly in the first place. ... More

Terrible experience from the saleperson

We love our Drees home and are happy and excited to be living here. The process of building a home with Drees, specifically the upfront decision making and closing, was challenging at times, but our builder and warranty team were exceptional and great to work with.

The process with Drees was over all really good. The home quality and attention to detail is really nice. We had some unusual issues during the build due to our lot (not Drees) that I would have been nice to more aggressively address, but Drees has stood by their commitments and continues to work through the problems. I would definitely build with Drees again.

Buying our new Drees home was a great and seamless experience, from start to finish. They explained the entire process at the start and everything came together exactly as intended. I do wish there were more options available during the selection process, but ultimately, we are very happy with how everything turned out. Highly recommend Drees.

Logan and Ben took excellent care of us every step of the way. We had always heard “If you want to put stress on a marriage, build a house”. But that was not the case with Drees. We absolutely loved our experience and love our new home.
