I honestly think that these homes were not built very well and cheap materials were used to erect them up so quickly. Walls are definitely not sound proof. I can hear noise on the 2nd floor from the basement.

Compared to other builders I have dealt with Drees was amazing. Would absolutely do it again if Drees was my builder. From their sales man to the weekly build updates, they were top notch.

We loved our experience building with Drees! They were kind, helpful, and responsive to our needs through all parts of the process. We are overall very happy with our home. After we moved in, we have had a few kinks that have needed to be worked out that we did not expect in a new home.

I had a great experience from the Drees representative here at Liberty Hall Michelle Pasquantino and our builder Austin. Both I feel went a above and beyond to provide a pleasant and professional experience for me and my family.

Overall Drees provided a good product in the end. Unfortunately, you’ll have to watch everything they do and constantly fight with Drees to get what was promised.

Definitely get a private inspection done!. The sub contractor(Atlantic Building) that fixed my doors don't care about the work they did. Front door has been having locking issues. Drees put in an order for them to fix and i have had to technicians here but still need a replacement jamb. The first Atlantic worker had the attitude like I was bothering them with my report for the front door to be fixed. All the screws on the interior door locks installed were not tightened. A month and half after move in, the owner's bedroom door lock fell off. The door lock on the second bedroom got very lose almost coming off. I had to go around and tighten the screws on all the interior doors as they were all lose and shaking. HVAC unit cover over the filter insert won't close so I'm holding it in place with a tape. Horrible! Some of the tape on the HVAC system in the mechanical room has come off and I'm just wondering what is next. Basement bath needs re-caulking and Joe the builder has put in a work order to get it done but 2 months after move in, contractor hasn't done anything about it. I'm waiting on the 3 months work with Drees to bring up other issues I have to give them a fair chance to redeem themselves. It's a beautiful home from Drees but the sub contracting companies have let them down in my opinion. Overall, the sub contracting companies work is a reflection of Drees work and leaves me with a below average rating for Drees at this time. There is disturbing knocking noise coming from the ceiling in my study room and unfortunately it does not look like it will be resolved any time soon

Hello, throughout the searching, buying, building process for this home...my wife and I were fully informed, supported and every question was answered/addressed. This was our first build, but not our first home and frankly having moved throughout this wonderful country we are more than pleased to be here and in such a well built home. We highly recommend looking into Drees as your builder and trust that they will help you to be 100% comfortable with this purchase/process.

Overall we are very pleased with the service and contractor support of Drees Homes. Even with the shortages and logistic issues, we were able to close on our house on schedule. Drees has been very responsive to requests and we believe you will find great value in the quality of workmanship and the community.

Very Professional and helpful staff

Drees provided many options and selections to customize our home for our needs. The entire staff was very professional and responsive to our questions and any issues that arose during the building process.

From start to finish, we had a great experience. The weekly meetings made us feel a part of the building process, We were able to make custom designs to our home to really make it feel like ours and not just another cookie cutter builder design.

Buyer be ware. If you build with this company, you may need to hire an attorney.

The sales experience was really really bad. If you can make it past that, and work with the delivery team-- you will be okay. We actually started to consider ending our build because the team was so non responsive and rude. I actually had to email the lady and ask her to please be kind in working with us. Now, once we got to delivery... it was better... Tom was amazing to work with. He did a wonderful job and was EXTREMELY responsive. We do love our home and Tom ensured the quality of the home was the best. That's why I gave it a 5 star. Unfortunately the sales team broke our trust upfront and was overall not responsive to emails, or concerns. They didn't know the product well enough to be helpful and caused a lot of confusion and mis-information. ... More

I would rate my overall experience with Drees as a 10. The reason for this rating is due to the professionalism, openness and genuine experience I have/had with everyone I have come in contact with. As a homeowner purchasing your first home and building it from the ground up, can be overwhelming on all fronts. As a builder, Drees truly made it less daunting and provide experience, knowledge and wisdom to overcome some issues and ensure we stayed on target for closing. The reason for the two four stars is due to follow through and details. As one who is detail orient it is hard to overlook some of the simple details that went undone and had to be redone or fixed. One might say that is a reflection on Drees because of the contractors they use, but I say it is the contractor as well. Drees could hire the best contractors out there, but they can't control who the contractor sends into your home (mine you they are not just contracted to your home especially when they are new builds) to do the work. They have been very attentive about making sure they come back out and make the corrections. With that, value is based on quality and workmanship. I love my Drees homes. Having the weekly calls are great. It gives you a chance to discuss where Drees is at with construction.

If you want a home that is full of unskilled workmanship for a premium price, then by all means buy from them. If you want to spend the first several months angry over all the items that were not finished before you moved in that you can’t get an estimate on when or if they ever will be done then go ahead. Our brand new driveway is crumbling apart, they do no soil prep, give you a lot full of rocks…not a yard, they push closing so they can get that 2% commission, they don’t care if you’re not happy with the finish work (they promise to make a list and come back to fix at a future date, hope you don’t have to work that day, or 10 others bc there’s SO much that needs fixing). This is a brand new home, I am in disbelief at what we’ve been through so far and our troubles are not as bad as some of our neighbors. Seriously, just don’t. They’re going to jack up the prices for phase 2 so you’ll get everything mentioned above for extra! Who doesn’t want a front yard that’s essentially a retention pond? Who doesn’t want a backyard that’s like a cliff? The builder needs to do a better job grading the lots. Come with a realtor so you have someone on your side to help you advocate for yourself. They tell you don’t come onto the construction sites without them but if you want to try to head their mistakes off at the pass, plan to come by every night, they literally need that much babysitting. Drees is an Excellent Builder.

Up until the final weeks, the experience was pretty good. However, the final weeks, and after signing has been a nightmare. Final walkthrough (one week out) had countless issues, while numerous things were still not even scheduled, to know if we should be requesting they be fixed. On the day of closing, there were trades all over the house, paint all over the floors, etc. Needless to say, the day we had been dreaming about left much to be desired. But the worse part was post closing. The builder made a list of issues to be addressed "ASAP". Of which, he said half would be done by the end of that day. Complete lies. Nobody showed up that day. The home buying experience was overshadowed by the lack of adherence and unprofessionalism related to agreed upon purchase items to the house. Additionally, minor design flaws are not easily corrected through Drees (fixing myself). Ultimately, Drees came through in fulfilling their agreement for purchased items and corrected most but not all issues.
