When we were purchasing the home, we were placed in a waiting list with other builders while Fulton Homes stated they take pride in not having a waiting list or lottery on their lots. When the work force and material shortage occurred, Fulton could not get homes complete in a timely manner. The other builders that I passed on where I was called on for the waiting list were completing homes months faster than Fulton because they were manageable and not excessive. Fulton's "pride" ended up costing me additional percentage points on my rate since it took longer to build and rates continued to go up. Our superintendent onsite was great and has been very responsive to issues we have had. But Fulton Homes cost me more than other builders since they told me it would take 8-10 months to build and ended up taking 14 months. ... More

We love our home. The home is perfect. The salesmen and formen...foremen not so great. There were lots of delays due to building material issues but no one kept in touch with us or informed us of anything that was happening. Our calls were rarely returned and the foremen was rude as if we were bothering him for asking for updates on our home that had been delayed 6 months past the expected delivery date. We did not feel valued at all.

They use mostly subcontractors as I guess it's usual in the industry but the level of responsiveness and accountability when something was wrong, depends on the professionalism of that subcontractor engaged. If the subcontractor is good, things are fixed and Fulton takes credit, but If there's a failure on the subcontractor part, the customer care team and specially the project manager collapses to a state of unresponsiveness and negligence.

I need more space to write exact details, but we were lied to several times during the process. The communication was some if the worst I've ever experienced. The home is beautiful, the quality is great. However I would strongly recommend Mr Fulton take a deep dive into the integrity of the Escalante sales team.

Escrow documents... 1>Special Warranty Deed was not explained during the signing of the construction of the house and during the escrow day. 2>During the Orientation day, there were issues that was verbally mentioned but the answer was" we do not do that in this orientation day."2.1> I mentioned about the space between the granite top with the undermounted sink... needs caulking and 2.2>Exterior Upper wall..the upper wood wall have spaces.. NOT PROPERLY mounted showing spaces. It needs caulking because over time..that space will be the source of rain water leaking inside the house. 3> I emailed Justin for the works needed but I did not receive any acknowledgement yet. Justin said to sent him all concerns when I occupy the house which I did. I needed some action regarding my complains and also the landscaping is not done yet to date. ... More

Been in our home and can barely get workers to come fix what needs to be fixed. When someone comes in to fix things from walkthrough, something else needs to be fixed from something else getting broke.

Delays for unknown reasons. I was told the book responses about Covid and the hit on supply chains but how come homes that started 5 months after ours finished one week after ours. Not very responsive during construction and after. things that were covered under warranty - we are told now that because of the current shortage they are no longer offering them. that is very welching. not a great home builder ever like they claim every time you talk to a salesperson.

We have had 1 breaker already changed due to incorrect breaker amperage for a double oven. A 20 Amp Breaker was installed initially and had to be changed out due to using both ovens tripping the breaker. Currently have an issue with a 15amp breaker for 2 bedrooms and bathroom. Shower floor was pooling on either side if the drain, when repaired it was a very lazy person that did it. Even the last day they were supposed to be here at 8am, they showed up at 11am and when I opened the door he stated we decide to come a little later. WHAT!? You decide when to come work in my home thats why we have a schedule. Floor looks like crap and even some tiles are raised and we have to step carefully to not slice our feet. A vanity was installed and is missing the front kick board. Paint spray on our expensive flooring. Fulton needs to get reputable trades companies to work with nit just the lowest bidder. I have built 3 homes but this is the first with Fulton. The whole experience was not horrible but they are the worst of the 3 for sure. There are a lot of promises but only some delivery or execution.

Several issues early on that you shouldn’t have with a new build

Working with Ali has been a pleasure. The workmanship, responsiveness, and their lenders can have improvement. The workmanship looks rushed with many errors and I understand we are in a pandemic, but it could have been done better. Not to mention trying to get someone in to fix these items has been drawn out. There has been positives in the experience of purchasing this home, but there has many opportunities for future purchasers

Minor issues-too long to get fixed that affects our daily routine.

Due to COVID issues we have not been able to travel to Arizona to see the new house so we are unable to provide accurate feedback at this time. If you could delay the survey request by approx 4-5 months it would be appreciated.

House handed over with many items incomplete. It’s now over one month and these items are still in abeyance. Project manager seems to be unaware or is incompetent. Waiting to see what will happen now.

For the most part it was a reasonable experience. Everything went good until we closed & it seemed like we just got put on the back burner. We were never getting responses on the online portal/warranty & then whenever we did & were told someone would be by the house on a specific day, no one would show up.

I felt like I was a number and not a customer. I had to point out many issues that needed to be corrected before construction could/should continue. The resolution of walk-though punch list items has taken much longer than expected.

The home and floor plan are beautiful. But this builder is too busy to pay attention to detail and provide a clean move in ready home. If you have a simple repair, be prepared to wait weeks. Or make appointments and don't show up.

The inspection done with the very kind, Mr. Rick seems to be a waste of time. Orange tape everywhere, and the only thing they did was remove the orange tape. It's taken 4 months for them to finish the texture and paint, but many areas still left to be done, but waiting for pandemic to end, so they come back to finish. What once was a blissful experience, turned nightmare dealing with horrific crew in charge of vendors coming to the house. Thank goodness for people like Melanie P, and Martin, they seen to care.

Fulton builds a decent home but I was not prepared for the level of dishonesty from the sales office or the inexperience and multiple errors from the design center employees. My advice would be to get a copy of everything you sign by taking a picture of it with your cell phone. I signed one document and was never provided a copy. It disappeared and it caused a serious problem for me. If you can do upgrades through another contractor after you close, it will save a great deal of money. My closing date was delayed by 4 months (and it was prior to the virus). In all I would say that Fulton is a very big company and they sell plenty of homes so they really don't care about an individual client in a hot housing market. The message I was given was that if you complained about poor service, then Fulton can just cancel your contract and sell your home to someone else at a profit since this is a hot market. (and that is exactly what the VP threatened to do to me). I'm sure customer service will improve now that the market is slowing down due to the virus impact. Construction superintendent (Terry) was a joke.

We understand that it's unreasonable to expect perfect work when there are hundreds of workers doing thousands of jobs. On our walkthrough we were told to expect things to be fixed, to be made right. Great! But most things weren't made right, most issues weren't resolved. For example, if they would just fix our upstairs floors, and put in our keypad entry on our garage, we could live with a lot of the lesser issues. We were told to submit requests into the system, which we did, and that in time these issues would be addressed. A few got acknowledged. Great! But many, we don't even know if they've been seen. We haven't gotten acknowledgement that Fulton is aware of these issues, and any ETA on working on them. It's frustrating to live in house with issues that should have been fixed before we moved in. It's frustrating to not know when these issues will be addressed, or even if they've been seen. When we put in a request asking where our document listening the issues went, and whether or not we should resubmit the document, and where we are at in dealing with any of the issues listed in the document, we got no acknowledgement of this request. We understand everyone is extremely busy, but meanwhile we're not only living with frustrating issues, but we don't even know if they've been acknowledged or what we're supposed to do. ... More

My new Fulton home is my 3rd new build and my 1st by Fulton; it will be my last by Fulton. I don't blame Fulton Homes for any of the delays or shortages; clearly not their fault. There are a great many things though that are well within their control that I I feel could have been handled better. Fulton Homes believes in covering up mistakes, not actually fixing them. If they can hide the problem with paint or caulking then you can rest assured that's what will happen. I have 3 doors in my house where the door jams on one side of the door don't sit flush with the wall....all they did was fill in the gap with caulking. That will eventually crack and shrink and will be a problem for as long as I own the house. Base boards and casing. Can't say "wow' enough. Lots of putty that was never sanded down and just painted over. I was told by the Superintendent that I wasn't going to get a perfect home and I needed to account for the "human error" factor. That is an amazingly bad excuse to explain away low standards and poor oversight. What really happened was the holes got puttied but never sanded. They then got painted over and that was all she wrote. Who's in charge to ensure they get sanded? The Superintendent or his Assistant. Maybe that was the "human error" I was supposed to factor in? The painters. Holly Hell. Worse I've ever seen. They don't use drop clothes, get splatter everywhere to include on the kitchen counters and cabinets, on the floor and the cut lines are as wavy as the ocean. When I brought the issue of the poor workmen ship of the painters up, I was told "I know, I know". Am I the only one who sees a problem here? I was told the painters have been a problem for awhile, but there is no one else to do the work. So Fulton, instead of hiring their own in house painting crews to ensure their "legendary Fulton Quality" home, they use crappy subcontractors who do poor work to save money. Fulton Homes recommended Poco Verde Landscape to do our front yard. They are Fulton Homes "preferred" landscape company. I hired them to put my front yard in. The communication with Poco Verde wasn't good. We left their office believing the front yard cost would just be rolled into the mortgage. It wasn't. We had no reason to believe it would be as the extended driveway and artificial turf got installed but we were told everything else we would have to pay for out of pocket. Poco Verde wanted over $4k to finish the work. We went with a different company and paid a lot less for better work. Fulton Homes "recommend" means nothing to me anymore. We did the buyers walk and found several things wrong with the house. Some were minor, some not so much. They listed them all. ... More

The time frame was off due to workers not wanting to work so that hurt the industry when they set a move in date

The model homes are done perfectly your home will not be done that way.
