The quality of customer service from buying ti building to closing to all things not addressed post closing is just horrific. Never again!!

The Horrible experience with your preferred lenders and the talk "behind my back" by your sales crew was awful and I was embarrassed for you

It would seem all was great until your preferred lender #1 didn't give me a call back after he said my numbers on my W-2 did not add up. He had already run my credit and yet no "you are not qualified" or "yes, you are qualified". Once that lender fell through with no responses.  I stayed on course with the lender who pre-qualified us. Then at the end of December before we are expected to have a home delivered to us...I get a call stating that my file had been assigned to preferred lender #2. In my opinion there never should have needed to be a #2. We did everything that was asked of us to ...

Fulton Homes responded:
The lending portion of buying a new home can be the most frustrating part of the transaction. There are many unfamiliar terms and procedures that most people are just not aware of, and many times this confuses the buyers. If there were any misunderstandings with one of our preferred lenders or outside lenders, then we apologize. We reviewed your file and it seems that you were quite satisfied with the construction of the home and that you would recommend us. There were just a few items at Orientation that were fixed. Again, we apologize for any ...

Unable to Meet Deadlines or Communicate

Fulton did not meet a single one of the deadlines they gave us. As a result, my family ended up having to move twice (our home was delayed by four months). Fulton was terrible at communicating with us, and only Pat in the sales office ever even apologized for the stress my family experienced. Two days before closing, Fulton told us we would have no appliances in our new home at closing, and was either unable or unwilling to provide us with estimated delivery times for any of these appliances. They also told us they would not be providing us with loaners. It took over a month to receive ...

Fulton Homes - As first-time homeowners, my wife and I had the worst experience

  • David A.

As first-time homeowners, my wife and I had the worst experience with the salesperson at the Fulton Home, which resulted in a manner I still couldn’t fathom. My wife had a conversation with the salesperson regarding the appliances (loaners) and he got mad at her, rudely dropped the call on her. I discussed this issue with teo supervisors, as I’m writing this review, nothing has been done. No apology, issue left unaddressed. The treatment was disgusting, which I believe has rubbed off the excitement of getting our first home with Fulton Home.

Fulton Homes responded:
I am sorry for misunderstanding on the loaner appliances with your new home. These are all unchartered waters as we have never had any issues with appliances before this pandemic. It is unfortunate that we may not be given information from the manufacturer regarding the timing, and thus are not able to relay that information to you. ...

The Fulton Realtor repeatedly told us there were no multilevel homes in the center of the development. We explicitly stated we didn’t want to be next door to a multilevel home. Well, now I have a multilevel home next door with windows that look down into my bedroom, bathroom, office, dining room and backyard. We asked if we could include insulation in the interior walls, we were told that would void the warranty. We asked again later and we’re told it’s too late to add extra insulation. Fulton Realtor was rude and condescending each time we had to talk to her. In the end the Fulton Realtor ...

Do not do it not worth the headache and anxiety this caused for me and my family during this process. Before and during signing it was great office was nice and responded to emails and walked us through everything, but after putting in our deposits and signing that's when stuff went south. Tom wouldn't give us updates till we hownded him for it ALWAYS made excuses and never gave us answers just worked around our questions. The design center was fine but Keith from the design center cost us an extra $500.00 for not doing his job! He never responded to emails and never answered any of our ...

My home was bought in Feb. 2022. I was told it would be done by “summer”. In my mind summer means anywhere from June to September. My home sat untouched for those months. Then the close date was pushed back to October then November then December then January then finally end of February. After inquiring about what happened to summer time finish, I was gaslit and told that maybe I “heard the sales associate incorrectly”. I repeatedly asked to speak to someone who knew anything about my home to which I was met with no response or “I’ll get back to you” to which no one ever did. No one seemed to ...

The sales people said they would get things done/fixed but construction didnt follow through.

Build process was a mess, construction managers did not keep an eye on trades who did shabby work in all areas. Now that home is finished we have found many things jerry rigged and patched just enough to hide faulty repairs until after close. Cant even use Master Shower do to leaks in floor tile. 2 weeks after moving into home we found one of AC units was not even hooked up to run. Sales team said to put it in for warranty. What a mess this has been! Save yourself some stress and look elsewhere.

Waiting forever to get the house closed but still lot of issues to be fixed after closing

We waited for one and a half years for the house to be closed. But appliances and screens were still missing on the close date. After closing, they have to come to my house multiple times to fix the squeaking flooring, damaged garage door panel, chipped marble countertop, install the screens..... This made the new home buying process so painful.

The absolute worst home buying experience ever. And 2 months after moving in I still have a list a mile long of things they still need to fix. Its not just me all 9 families that live on my street feel the same way. The we are proud to build is not true!! Fulton Homes we are good at making excuses and not taking responsibility. Not one person has been honest or followed up consistently it is always someone else's fault. Buying a home should be a great experience I would recommend going to a builder that cares.

Horrible wait times, quality issues

From day one we had appliances missing. Washer and dryer took over a month to be installed and then to find out the laundry cabinets were not the right height. Walls are warped, grout has bubbles that have popped through, and the wooden stair bannisters are cracked. To top it off we recently had a dust storm and found out the door seal on the front door was bad. Dust and dirt flew throughout the entry way. We also found out our house was not built on the correct landscape drainage slope so we have pools of water 3 days after the storm.

My experience with Fulton ensured I would never purchase a new build with them again. I have absolutely no trust with what they tell you. Tom the salesman specifically was absolutely miserable to deal with. Beyond our house being delayed 3 months without a reason why the customer service was worse then I’ve experienced anywhere. I couldn’t get a resolution to any concern. I even went as far as reaching out to corporate and had no luck there. A simple phone call back would have gone a long way.

The worst experience ever... Uneven walls, terrible wall texture, painters who don't know how to paint, sticking out nails, leaking faucets, water damagein brand new cabinets...I can keep on going...Our doors were never painted just primed. Same with bathroom ceilings. Past 30 days after closing, and stuff still not fixed. Always excuses. I wish Mr. Fulton could come and see quality of his houses, but I think he is more busy counting his money...My invite stays open for him. Advice to every buyer, don't sign anything until they'll fix everything. Once they have your money, their attitude ...

Disappointed with Fulton

I am very disappointed with Fulton’s new build experience. I understand construction shortages have been impacting builders and home buyers, however, this does not make an excuse for Fulton’s representatives to lie to their customers and cut corners during the build. Numerous major and minor issues were pointed out from the very beginning of the build to the very end and have yet to be fixed. This is unacceptable and if I would have known this is the way Fulton does business, I would have invested my time and money with a different builder. The quality and craftsmanship is horrible and the ...

Awful experience from the buying process to now trying to get issues that have persisted since moving in fixed. House took way longer to build than was told and the communication on updates and timeframes were terrible and inaccurate. Now being in the home there have been several issues and the communication continues to be terrible. I will not be buying from this builder again.

The design center was not helpful & was even discouraging adding in more floor tiles. I thought I was buying a brand new home but what I got was a poorly delivered home with unfinished items & work that I now have to spend time & effort on which isn’t what was expected with a “new” home. Can you imagine buying a brand new car but you have to wash it & tune it up yourself?? Would you call that “brand new”??

I want to start by saying we understand that the pandemic had a ginormous impact on this industry (shortage of material, labor, etc., we get that), but the level of service, workmanship, and follow through that we’ve experienced throughout our buying experience and post move-in, has been terrible to say the least. Workmanship issues on the exterior and interior were pointed out on our walkthrough, but ignored. Drywall/framing imperfections all throughout. Missing cabinets, appliances for months. No updates from sales, on-site PM, or customer service for weeks. Make sure you get an inspection ...

I closed on a new build and did not expect so many quality issues and lack of care to get things done correctly. The project manager was terrible which is the biggest reason for all the problems. He was completely fine signing off on my home and hoping to move on from his poor work. There needs to be a quality control person to hold project manager and subcontractors accountable. Communication was terrible and I was lied to about numerous things getting ordered and given excuses for why things are not done right. In my opinion, worst build quality I've ever seen from a builder who extols its virtues as a quality home builder. Regardless if new construction, use a reputable home inspection service and demand from builder accountability for any anomalous conditions inspection may reveal. For me, that's when Fulton representatives went into denial/excuse mode. My advice is, once buyer gets past builder's denial narrative, either walk away from purchase or remain and document defects and demand redress in a timely fashion. If I knew then what I know now about Fulton Homes poor build quality, I ...
