I want to start by saying we understand that the pandemic had a ginormous impact on this industry (shortage of material, labor, etc., we get that), but the level of service, workmanship, and follow through that we’ve experienced throughout our buying experience and post move-in, has been terrible to say the least. Workmanship issues on the exterior and interior were pointed out on our walkthrough, but ignored. Drywall/framing imperfections all throughout. Missing cabinets, appliances for months. No updates from sales, on-site PM, or customer service for weeks. Make sure you get an inspection or they will try to gloss over everything that should be fixed. I closed on a new build and did not expect so many quality issues and lack of care to get things done correctly. The project manager was terrible which is the biggest reason for all the problems. He was completely fine signing off on my home and hoping to move on from his poor work. There needs to be a quality control person to hold project manager and subcontractors accountable. Communication was terrible and I was lied to about numerous things getting ordered and given excuses for why things are not done right. I closed on my home Dec 9th 2021 and every week since then I have been taking time off work to wait for subcontractor to correct issues from damaged cabinets or missing cabinet doors/shelves, paint, missing and damaged appliances, missing window screens, front hard scape delays, delayed hot water to fixtures, poor paint quality. It is now January 25th 2022 and I’m still having to deal with this. It’s a shame and I would not recommend buying from this builder. The only thing I love is the neighborhood and the people that have moving in. Everyone is so friendly and has dealt with same issues. Salespeople were great, but the trades performing the work was horrible. After close examination, work was performed unprofessionally. No attention to details.

In my opinion, worst build quality I've ever seen from a builder who extols its virtues as a quality home builder. Regardless if new construction, use a reputable home inspection service and demand from builder accountability for any anomalous conditions inspection may reveal. For me, that's when Fulton representatives went into denial/excuse mode. My advice is, once buyer gets past builder's denial narrative, either walk away from purchase or remain and document defects and demand redress in a timely fashion. If I knew then what I know now about Fulton Homes poor build quality, I would've run, not walked away from purchase. ... More
