Orientation inspection

The inspection done with the very kind, Mr. Rick seems to be a waste of time. Orange tape everywhere, and the only thing they did was remove the orange tape. It's taken 4 months for them to finish the texture and paint, but many areas still left to be done, but waiting for pandemic to end, so they come back to finish. What once was a blissful experience, turned nightmare dealing with horrific crew in charge of vendors coming to the house. Thank goodness for people like Melanie P, and Martin, they seen to care.

The sales representative lied multiple times and it was shocking

Fulton builds a decent home but I was not prepared for the level of dishonesty from the sales office or the inexperience and multiple errors from the design center employees. My advice would be to get a copy of everything you sign by taking a picture of it with your cell phone. I signed one document and was never provided a copy. It disappeared and it caused a serious problem for me. If you can do upgrades through another contractor after you close, it will save a great deal of money. My closing date was delayed by 4 months (and it was prior to the virus). In all I would say that Fulton ...

Important issues still remain and haven't acknowledged sent work orders

We understand that it's unreasonable to expect perfect work when there are hundreds of workers doing thousands of jobs. On our walkthrough we were told to expect things to be fixed, to be made right. Great! But most things weren't made right, most issues weren't resolved. For example, if they would just fix our upstairs floors, and put in our keypad entry on our garage, we could live with a lot of the lesser issues. We were told to submit requests into the system, which we did, and that in time these issues would be addressed. A few got acknowledged. Great! But many, we don't even know if ...

My new Fulton home is my 3rd new build and my 1st by Fulton; it will be my last by Fulton. I don't blame Fulton Homes for any of the delays or shortages; clearly not their fault. There are a great many things though that are well within their control that I I feel could have been handled better. Fulton Homes believes in covering up mistakes, not actually fixing them. If they can hide the problem with paint or caulking then you can rest assured that's what will happen. I have 3 doors in my house where the door jams on one side of the door don't sit flush with the wall....all they did was ...

From a hospitality standpoint, literally every person we have met and dealt with has been polite, courteous, and has provided exceptional customer service. We would like to personally recognize Albert over at the sales office. This man truly seems to care about his clients, always remembered our names, and always made us feel welcome. Now, on to Fulton Homes as our builder. Our discontent began with something as simple as having the incorrect Elevation on the sign in front of our lot. We would like to think that before construction the error would’ve been rectified but given our experience ...

The home was nowhere near ready when we moved in. It has been very inconvenient having workers come back for warranty work that should have been prior to closing. It has been over five months now and we are still waiting for things to be fixed that we brought up during construction.

Buyer's Remorse

The website advertised the ability to customize my house, but I was told on the phone that was not an option due to the market. Then it should be taken down from the website. Items have not been corrected since orientation. RO system and Water Softener were not turned on. No insulation for garage. Trash all over neighborhood, not construction debris, but trash (soda bottles, candy wrappers, etc.)

Fulton Homes - Delays.
- Anonymous
- Verified HomeBuyer

Delays. Lack of communication. Not having any information or knowledge about delays. Practically pulling out teeth to get workmanship issues fixed after house was completed. Waiting months and months for simple issues to be resolved before and after completion. Meanwhile Fulton model homes soared through completion without issues or delays. Feel forgotten after our home has been completed. Almost as if Fulton got their money from the lender and never looked back.

Not following through on promises

There were unfinished items on the house at my orientation, and by move in they still weren’t fixed. The person who did my walkthrough wanted me to sign that everything was completed because he “promised it would all get done”. Everyone was so nice until I stood my ground and refused to sign that paper essentially stating something that was false. I demanded we write ALL unfinished items on there before I sign, and since I did that it’s like a switch flipped in their attitude. They’ve been rude, and it’s now 45 days later and still waiting on some of the items to be fixed. Also, Fulton design ...

Lack of communication from the very beginning. Doing things the cheap way instead of the right way.

The builder over all is good. However, they do things the cheap way. Make sure you take a close look at your range hood. They are too cheap to pull it forward so it is even with the upper cabinet. Instead, they leave it back with an extended cabinet, leaving unfinished cabinet exposed. All they would have to do is block it in the back and extend the vent. Again, do it the cheap way instead of the right way. Upper management's response was terrible and has shown me why I will not buy another Fulton Home.

Fulton contractors

Fulton uses 3rd party contractors to delivery services and appliances. These companies failed to contact regarding delivery times and are not flexible to the customer. Fulton has yet to fulfill multiple appliance deliveries. Not a single item was fixed from walkthrough to taking possession of the home. Maintenance requests remain un-answered. While the housing market has boomed Fulton has used the COVID pandemic to under serve their commitment to the customer.

Construction manager is not trustworthy, no quality control. Instead of repairing correctly they try to cover it up. Don’t go by model home because the quality built in field is not the same. Rick from customer service is great but he should not have to finish the house. Director of customer service tells you “ that’s just the way it is”. Not the same company that they used to be.

We chose Fulton b/c of the floorplan of the Raymond model. Based on other builders floorplans, that was the best that worked for us. We would of made some changes if we could but weren't allowed as we chose a "quick move" that wasn't really a quick move in our opinion especially since houses that started after ours were ahead of ours or completed before ours. It wasn't like we were late on payments or appointments etc. During the process and our continuous search for a new build up until the week of orientation (as we didn't trust the responses we were getting from either sales people or ...

We loved our sales representative Tom but after him it goes downhill. The attention to detail just wasn't there. Even the day of our final walk through the gentleman said he has never seen such poor attention to detail. Doug Fulton is to far removed to see that his company is on the downhill slide unless they focus on detail.

This was the most stressful home buying process I have ever heard of. The communication throughout the process was a joke. Hands down the most disappointing home buying experience I have had

My husband and I relocated from another state and decided to go with new construction. Let me start off with saying that Tracy is amazing to work with. Her energy and positivity is a breath of fresh air. Alex and Travis are knowledgeable, hard working, friendly and a joy to work with. Up until a week before my closing, I had a great experience. Alex would always check in with us when we were visiting the house during the construction and inform us of what was going on. In the beginning, we were excited and very happy. Then came the day of our buyer walk and education with our customer ...

To be fair, maybe this is just the norm. But taking almost a year and a half to complete practically ruined the experience of buying a first home. Even after purchasing the home, it still took a week to get final touches done on something that was said to only be a day, which delayed moving in even further. The house overall is nice, but corner were clearly cut. I hate to say it but even after some time in the house I still have buyer remorse.
