From sales to construction to design, everyone was knowledgeable and kind. For our very first home, going with Highland seemed like a pipe dream, but we found a plan within our budget. Now, we have our forever home.

The quality of the work was sloppy. We are still having crews come out to fix numerous issues, especially with our HVAC system. We have had Houk HVAC come out six or seven times, and unfortunately, the service and quality of their work have been very disappointing.

Eric and Tim made everything easy! Eric was awesome to deal with and communication was great. I appreciate all the extra time and thoughtfulness he put into the project. I would definitely recommend Highlands to anybody.

This is our second Highland and so far we have been just as happy with the experience so far. Any issues have been addressed and continue to be addressed. The overall buying experience was good and were able to move in on the date we needed.

Experience was okay. I do not recommend using the Highland lender and you need to triple check all work done by their trades.

What separates them from the rest of builders is the ease of doing business with them and reliability. At no point in the process we felt that builder wasn't ready to listen or address our concerns, went above and beyond with everything.

Overall, my homebuying experience with Highland Homes has been very good. The buying process went smoothly, and I've been especially pleased with how responsive the Highland team has been whenever I've submitted an issue or work request. My main concern has been the attention to detail in the workmanship and final finishing. There have been quite a few small items that should have been caught before closing, including missed paint spots, drawers that do not operate properly, HVAC ducts that were not properly installed, and a thermostat that appears to be poorly located and does not read the temperature accurately, along with several other minor issues. I love the house and am very happy with the home overall, but it has been difficult to fully enjoy a brand-new home when I'm constantly finding small items that require another service request. None of the issues individually are major, but collectively they take away from the experience. Highland has been great about responding and addressing concerns, and I appreciate that. I just wish more attention had been given to the final quality-control inspection so these issues could have been identified and corrected before move-in. ... More

Clarity, communication and customer service

My chief complaint is that there was an obvious lack of QA that went into the build of the house. Cabinets, doors, and shelving being unevenly installed. Paint splatter and staining on brand new floors and one of the contractors p***** on the wall in our bathroom in the time between signing and closing. You'd think for something that cost half a million dollars they'd at least put some effort into delivering a quality product.

We are happy with our new home from Highland Homes! It's well-crafted and it's a quality home. We experience some small issues but the Highland Homes team was very quick to respond and made the fix. Really nothing major to complain about, customer service was great!

We can't speak highly enough of everyone at Highland that we dealt with. All were very knowledgeable and experienced. Any issue or question we brought up was addressed immediately. They made buying a new home a very pleasant experience.

We are first time home builders and had a great experience with Highland Homes. Our builder was Tyler ***** and he was extremely responsive to any questions or concerns. He also had attention a greater attention to detail that either my wife or I had which I feel like is unusual for a builder. Had a home inspector and they didn't find anything of substance so I can do anything but recommend Highland if you are considering building a home.

David ***** the construction manager was always super courteous and professional. He listened to our concerns and our requests and built us a wonderful home. His crew's workmanship is great also. David also made sure all of blue taped stuffs were completed and kept his promises. Would recommend David and his crew for building your next dream home.

From Gracie in the Sales Office, to Clint our builder who went above and beyond, to Amanda in mortgage banking, the whole experience was top shelf! Thank you everyone!

David was very responsive when needed to correct several matters. Great guy to work with!

The builders team was amazing through the entire buying process.

Installed the wood floors all over the house. The floors were installed with corners chipped, seams are bruised and there are chips at many places. Moved in the home on Jul 7th, 2026 ( not even 2 months ) and since noticed many of these flooring issues. Contacted the builder and flooring lead Ronnie, he bluntly said these are not warrantied and may be you had created due to your vacuum. Did not think this high end builder will have this poor quality flooring material which easily chips. This is my retirement home and this is not acceptable.

Every interaction with Highland has by far exceeded my expectations.

Sales agent was a month off during the sale regarding completion date. This threw off everything regarding a cross country move. Affected my old employment, new employment, kids education, moving costs, etc. Then the preferred lender was a nightmare process as well, further delaying closing. This was not a friendly process for out of state movers. Fortunately, there are great people on the team to salvage the issue. Most notably Mike *****, Ron, and Carter. They worked hard to make things right. Thank you.
