Beautiful homes with high ceilings

Don was great to work with. If he told us something then he would try his best to make it happen. While I know the sub contractors are not always reliable, Don followed up to make sure they completed what needs to be done.

overall good quality of house, but expensive than other competitor builder (M.I home and some other builders. not clear why it should be expensive than competitor. I see lots of little minor thing not done properly. a little poor in finishing work.

This is our second Highland Homes new build (the first was in 2012 in The Tribute.) The experience this time around was not at all the same. Overall, we like our house but only because we had to nitpick and complain about things from the day the foundation was poured. Nearly every surface in our house had an issue that we had to manage the builder on. We did have some resolution on certain issues, but overall, the quality of this build and the experience was not what we envisioned. We will probably build another house again in the next few years and will most likely not consider Highland. Also, we are very disappointed that even after our negative survey we filled out at closing to discuss these issues (closing date was October 4) not one person from the Highland Homes corporate sales office has reached out to us for feedback. Buying a house from Highland has been a great experience. Very smooth, and they have stood behind their quality and made a few small things right without delay. I don’t anticipate buying another house, but if I did, I would sure buy from Highland again.

Great work and customer service.

Builder warranty is great. They address any issues you have in timely manner. I would recommend the builder to my family and friends. Pleased with the work ethic and dedication of the entire team (sales rep and project manager).

The building process was so very easy and Jared our construction manager was a delight to work with. Any concern was quickly explained or addressed and the final punch list was very minimal. We totally recommend Highland Homes to anyone, you will love your new home.

Our experience with Highland Homes was amazing. We pulled ourselves out of a contract with Pulte Homes due to a severe lack of trust and questionable build quality. Coming across Highland was a true blessing. I never would have imagined that a homebuilder could be so attentive and accommodating. We love our Highland home and would recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy builder!

House is great.

We have had no issues with the quality of our home. Our builder rep Julio and sales rep John were great. Julio even went above and beyond on our walk thru and fixed everything, even the smallest little blemishes that I never noticed. They care about their quality and are personal and do not make you feel like once you close, you are gone. Julio has even stopped by the house to make sure any tickets submitted were taken care of (new light fixtures).

We are so grateful that we had Highland Homes build our house!! They have been willing to stand behind their work and make sure our every request is taken care of. We feel secure in our purchase knowing they have done a quality job and are there if we need them. Even after closing on our new home, Highland Homes has not disappeared. They are super friendly and respond quickly. We are so impressed!

Highland Homes made the home buying process very easy. Everyone from the builder to the loan officer were always available to answer questions. They made the process non stressful and go smoothly.

Several long time friends had told me their Highland Home was the best they every bought... I listened and so far they're right!

Our experience with Highland has been great. Sales and the CM are very responsive. I would have given all five stars but we have a few pending to be addressed. In all honesty we are a bit disappointed with the quality of the paint work. It is noticeable where certain areas need to second coat of paint.

Very good communication and timely help with builder with all of any issues. Just was excited as we were during the process.

From loan application to actual purchase has been the best home buying experience I've ever had. Quality construction, finish work, and efficiency. Customer service outstanding and very responsive. The few minor issues I had after move in were quickly resolved. I will enjoy my new Highland home for many years and it was a worthwhile investment.

From the beginning to the end....the process is client focused to achieve your satisfaction and a home you will love.

What an amazing experience it was to build our new home with Highland and especially the team in Trinity Falls. Highland employee's are really the best of the best. Beautiful home, great process, quality work. What else can you say?

Safety, Housekeeping, Security • Beer cans and trash consistently found in and around build site • Contractors smoking inside of house • Trash and food left in house attracting pests (raccoon removed from attic) • Contractors not observing signs for “no shoes”, dirt and rocks on wood floor and carpets • General disregard for safety (e.g. roofers not tied off, makeshift ladders, etc.) • Houses with flooring, carpets, fixtures left unsecured and in some cases doors/windows ajar Management Oversight • No insight into management decision making process • No explanation or understanding of escalation protocol for raising buyer concerns • Inconsistent supervision and communication to contractors (e.g. placement of A/C condensers) • Poor work-load management and support of construction supervisors (constantly overwhelmed) • Reference construction drawings only when convenient for builder Sales Counselors • Frequently pompous and dismissive in almost all interactions, including initial visit with realtor • Tend to act like buyer requests and concerns are a joke (literally laughing in some instances) • Drag feet on decisions then make urgent demands, making it seem like buyer is causing delay • Attempt to document misleading information on change orders • Incomplete and/or vague descriptions of change items (some missed completely) Quality of Workmanship • Overall sloppiness in workmanship (e.g. tiling, door trim, painting, plumbing hardware, etc.) • Lack of ownership in work (e.g. dented fireplace, scratched appliances, etc.) • Seem to take the “easy” route at every opportunity rather than doing the job “right” ... Work well with salesperson and building manager

I thought I was buying a decent home until i moved in. The FIRST weekend, the plumbing backs up on us!. There was a stake in one of the trees that a genius landscaper stuck so deep into the ground that it cracked the cheap pipe that was used for the plumbing. To their credit, highland homes fixed it the same day. Week later, i discovered a roof leak due to a leaky roof jack. This was fixed a few days later. Now ive realized the ac installer that highland choses for my area is one of the worst rated hvac installers in Houston. They never tested the static pressure on the ac, the coils were full of sand, several vents were installed backwards, etc. I expected far better than this considering the price of the home . ... More
