Highland Homes hurried to finish my house leaving several items unfinished or not working. The construction manager soon left the company leaving my house incomplete. The replacement construction manager did make sure unfinished and broken items were completed but it took significant time. The house is nice with some technology upgrades but some design aspects like garage size are problematic.

From the very start, it was obvious that we made the right choice to build our home with Highland. No matter how small of a detail, question, or concern that we had throughout the process the employees at all echelons were nothing but pleasant and courteous. When issues came up, which is inevitable, I firmly believe that Highland went that extra step to make us happy that other builders just wouldn't have done. The only, and I mean only black mark we had was with our design appointment. Being first timers, and the fact that Highland gives you more choices in materials than Lowe's, 3 hours just isn't enough to figure it all out. For example, there was easily 40 choices of brick and 20 choices of stone. Easy to pick one of each but hard to pick something that looks great together. The person that was supposed to be there guiding us wasn't very helpful at all! In the end we had to return to the design center 2 more times on our own to get things looking right. You always feel welcome

I love highland homes. From my salesman Zach to the project manager Chris. Everybody was very prompt in answering questions, concerns, and just very friendly all around. We only have had one issue which was a sprinkler leak, and highland fixed it the next day. Otherwise, no other problems have come up. I definitely would recommend highland!

Hard to put the words trust and builder in the same sentence. But you can trust that Highland Homes will deliver with a positive experience throughout the process. Our home was completed on time, as promised, in budget...and we built long distance. Sure, there were some issues to be expected with a new build, but Highland warranty service is top notch. Build with Highland Homes, you’ll be glad you did!

Very nice experience from buying till closing.

The Highland employees are very friendly and helpful. Building a new home Is a very complex process, so be sure to document everything and try to be as involved during the construction process, as possible. We are not pleased with the masonry sub-contractor but understand they have since replaced them. Highland also appears to be genuinely concerned about taking care of any warranty issues. Overall it was a fun and exciting experience. We love our new home and recommend Highland Homes.

Been in our house 2 months and weve really enjoyed it so far. Had some issues with the water heater and sprinklers, but HH was quick to address them. Excellent construction management

No attention to detail. A lot of small problems that could have been quick fixes were ignored. Took too much time replacing or repairing items.

The complete transaction from visit to sales office and meeting with Jamie to signing contract was very smooth. Then picking out the colors and other itrms to finalizing plans was smooth. Our builder Angel did and outstanding job and the house turned out beautiful. Then closing went well . We have been in our home for over a month. We had a few warranty issues and our builder addressed them immediately. Over all we are very pleased with our home and would highly recommend them to other prospective home owners.

Everything has been wonderful thus far. Everyone has been helpful, respectful, and quick to respond.

Sandbrock Ranch is a great development. Love the Amenity Center and all the open areas. Will, Kelsi, and Blake were, and still are, responsive to my needs and requests. Great Team!

Highland Homes for a tract home has build quality unlike any other builder in the Dallas Market. They go beyond with individual lot soil testing, to ensuring that the home is built with quality and it's standards for ensuring that your home is well insulated to 2022 standards. When you buy a new home it is important that you at what is "behind the curtain". Any one can make a house look like it's worth a million dollars on the outside, but that is just makeup! Ask the questions and understand what is "behind the walls" and how they determine the structure for the foundation. As you will find out if you haven't already if you build a beautiful looking home but the foundation is flawed you are not going to have a beautiful home for long. Like everything else you get what you pay for. Go to Highland first allow them to tell you what they do and then go talk to some other home builders and ask them the questions that the Highland sales person reviewed with you and see how they answer them. When looking for a home in the Drippings Springs area, you need to see Lula and her team in Highpoint. They are the best.

Had the worst experience working with the sales people. Treated horribly by sales folks they did everything they could to try to get me to leave or cancel my contract because had a buyer that was willing to pay the full asking price.

Our home was initially scheduled for completion in March/April. We told them no rush, as May was good with us. They scheduled closing May 30. I emailed more than once to confirm closing date as they appeared behind, mostly due to them stopping work on my home to build their new model (they verbally confirmed this was true.) We pushed closing back one day due to last day of school activities. The day before closing (on the original close date!), we still had a broken window, no fence, a leak in the bathroom, no inspection certificate, and MANY other major issues. They first wanted to do an affidavit for the repairs, but then after not passing inspection had to delay our closing TWO WEEKS. Had we been contingent, we would have lost the house, or been homeless. They acted like it was no big deal. Once we finally closed, we had to chase down keys, and still had a short affidavit. It took them 7 weeks to finish what they promised in 7 days. And we only got it done because we went to social media and got a meeting with the regional. They still don’t care about how much they inconvenienced us, or the HOURS of my time wasted with their contractors after closing. They made MANY mistakes along the way - I still have things that are wrong that I’m choosing to live with because I’m done fighting them. They admitted they didn’t give us their best but made no other amends. It’s been a horrible, stressful process - right in the middle of our family adopting and going through heart surgeries for our new son - and I could never recommend them as a builder. ... More

Very pleased with my Highland Home.

Of the many homes we have purchased over the past 38 years, this purchase was the best. Top quality and best sales finance and construction team I’ve ever worked with. I’d do all again.

We got an excellent price on our home, and the materials are what we would expect. However, the workmanship was below standard. We submitted a list of warrantly issues and none of them have been addressed.

The Highland homes buying experience is outstanding!

It was a long and painful process not due to the builder but because of my bank. Highland worked with me all the way. Living out of state while the house is being built is difficult but Highland made it easier. The quality of the home and the people involved in the process is top notch. I’m glad I chose Highland.
