We love our new home! Well built! Great amenities!

Smooth process from start to finish. The staff was very knowledgeable, patient and extremely helpful

The first home we purchased here in DFW was a Highland Home. Since then, we have built with Drees, Onyx, Beazer and Megatel. Highland was the best with customer service. For this community, we chose Highland based on our past experiences. They did not disappoint! The customer service during the construction and after moving in has been outstanding! Josh K., Spencer and Josh T. Made sure all concerns were taken care of to our satisfaction! They went above and beyond! I will not hesitate recommending Highland to our friends and relatives!

The response to issues has been exceptional. Our builder representative (Chase) has made sure every concern was addressed to our satisfaction.

Not off to a good start...

Great builder. Did everything they stated they would

Our house had no heat or AC for the first 2 weeks of owning it. We found the issue on the final walkthrough but we signed a form accepting it so we wouldn't delay closing. The weather was not too bad but we still expected it to be fixed. One weekend it was going to be very cold. Nothing had been done so I submitted a warranty request on the Thursday before and it wasn't even looked at until the Monday afterwards. We put an electric heater in out infant daughter's room but it was cold in the house. When I talked to the person on Monday she told me I should have just called the contractor directly and started explaining how they don't check the warranty requests every day. Thanks, next time I wont use the warranty claim form.... Eventually they got it fixed but when I buy something brand new I expect the basic systems to function. Other issues were minor like the stair spindles being crooked, gate wouldn't close, some surfaces weren't painted that should have been. They fixed all of those but again, if I am rating quality of workmanship and materials, even a 3 is generous given our experience. Plus they need a street sweeper in the neighborhood. I understand its under construction, but they don't even try to keep the streets clean. Our cars are filthy all the time. Again, a minor annoyance, but an annoyance nonetheless. ... More

My family and I have had and continue to have an excellent experience with Highland Homes. Kathy and Donna with the sales team are professional, friendly and helpful. Our builder, Andrew, has been great to work with since day one when we signed our contract and he's very knowledgeable and responsive to post move-in inquiries/issues we've had. We love our new home and are excited for what's to come here in Sandbrock Ranch! Thank you!

Our sales counselor was truly amazing - she listened to exactly what was important to us and helped think outside the box to achieve our dream. Then the hand off to the construction manager was just as good. He brought some excellent suggestions to the table and worked through some (inevitable) minor obstacles that presented themselves along the build process. Now that we have been in our home for a few months, we've had a couple minor things here and there, and the warranty process is just as great. My husband and I could not be happier and are so fortunate to have Highland build our dream. I would highly recommend Highland to anyone looking for a new construction home. The thoughtful little extras they do in their construction really make a great product. It is evident they are not just about making a profit; they want to do the right thing. This was our first brand new home purchase and it was a fantastic experience. Our builder, Andrew, was very easy to work with and very quick to respond to any concerns or questions we had during the entire process. No detail was too small to address. We are extremely happy with our new Highland Home.

Very disappointed. Was encouraged to buy a Highland home for the quality and their workmanship reputation but this is not what I have experienced. The quality of products used is of a very low grade material, the wood trim in the house has very noticeable blemishes, knots and bumps and is very rough causing the paint to constantly flake off. The kitchen sink immediately rusted, it was replaced promptly but it is still a low grade quality stainless so it stains and spots up and if a pan is set in it for a minute it rust the sink, I have never had any of my stainless steel sinks do this. The floors look like a wash board, very uneven they look terrible also they still have glue on them that they have not been able to get off after three attempts. I was told by Highland you cant get concrete even and you can only smooth out so much of an area with the human arm span??? Really this is insulting to my intelligence, I have had tile and wood floors installed in my previous homes and it did not look like this, there are products to prevent this when done properly. The ceiling and walls show defects badly the ceilings have waves this is caused when the sheet rock is not done properly. Many issues have been fixed like one of many the tile work that had been broken on installation where they just grouted between the break instead of replacing. The concrete work at the front entrance and the patio is terrible the entrance was refinished twice but still looks awful so with all this I worry now about the integrity of the slab. When I went to clean out the windows out I found two fly's that were in there when they painted and they just painted over the top of the fly's. Clearly the contractors they use are low grade as well and they obviously don't care and no one from Highland cares either or supervises these contractors. The blinds they installed are the cheapest possible, they want stay in place. I have no confidence in the quality, stability and integrity of this home I feel like that with this many things wrong that we have seen and are still finding, how many major things are wrong that we cannot see and have not come to light yet and will fall apart after the warranty is out and before they should. It is so disappointing and has stressed me out so much and has made it impossible for me to enjoy my new home. I think the amount of money paid for this home warrants better products and workmanship this was not a low end home. I have owned several homes and this is the worst conditions and experience I have ever incurred. I would welcome and challenge someone from the Corporate Highland homes office to come see my house, I would love to hear their opinion after they have walked through this house. I don't know if something has happened with Highland that has driven the quality and workmanship to go down hill or maybe just an initiative to cut cost to make more money at the home owners expense or the people just do not care anymore. Where is quality control? At this point I would say be very cautious if you are considering a Highland home. The guys at the local field office I have dealt with have been responsive but this does not make up for the issues that I have found. This is not the way I planned on starting retirement I thought I was securing my future with a Highland home. Now I wonder if I have invested poorly and possibly jeopardized my future stability. ... The houses are nice. However, we are still waiting on the builder for some warranty repairs to be done (they’re really busy).

HAVE BEEN A HIGHLAND HOME OWNER FOR 2 MONTHS AND I AM CURRENTLY PLEASED WITH THE PROCESS AND THE WAY THE HIGHLAND TEAM HAS HANDLED EVERYTHING SO FAR. WE HAVE A FEW THINGS THAT NEED TO BE TAKEN CARE OF ON OUR PUNCH LIST. I HAVE KNOW DOUBT THAT HIGHLAND WILL TAKE CARE OF THEM. WE ARE VERY HAPPY :)

The experience was not what I expected. I’ve heard horror stories about building a house and people saying it was the worst experience ever. With highland homes, that’s not the case. I literally am a highland homes forever customer. This experience was absolutely painless and stress free! I highland recommend building a highland home. Ask for Zach and use Chris as your builder if offered.

Overall a builder that you can trust because of the good customer service. I recommend Highland Homes

This is our second build with Highland and again completely satisfied.

Laurie and Brody always follow up and have excellent communication skills. Any issues that came up were delt with promptly and professionally

we believe we made the right decision in choosing highland homes. The best thing is that they fixed, corrected all the items which were reported in inspection before the closing. Their work wise we don't have any problems, it might be too early to give a review bcos it takes more time for us to see if we have any concerns about the purchase. But we would definitely recommend other to highland homes.

For the price paid, the builder should hire painters and workers who will pay more attention to details. The materials put into the home are great, but the way in which it was thrown together is a hug disappointment. Even after the initial and final walk they, you mark and it seems the workers shake their head as though they will correct the issues and I can back to find the same things undone.

From the initial efforts of the sale from Monica to the closing day and follow ups with Austin, it was a great experience.

Still waiting on items to be corrected, very easy and simple ones like a microwave handle that's damaged from before we moved in 28 Nov 18 and has been on order from about 5 Dec 18. Other items are being fixed on time though.

Mr jerrod was an outstanding professional. He made all Efforts to satisfy us. The builder representative on final survey was also very nice gentlemen and explained all aspects of our house . This is our primary home and me and my wife are very happy to be part of highland homes and inspiration community.
