We have been very fortunate with our Highland Homes purchase. So far any issue that has come up has been addressed N taken care of immediately. We have establish very good rapport with Highland Homes reps. We R very happy with our home N highly recommend Highland Homes!

Initially we were so skeptical going with highland homes as we had deal with each sales agent (as they were changed frequently) and same with Construction managers but ones we have Michael as construction manager..things got in place and boosted our confidence in moving with highland homes ..as he used to provide construction updates everyweek ( as we were remote, wish we would have been at the site to have other minor changes) and always on call during the support for the time he had with us..definitely recommend Michael and highland homes for new house buyers.

From the time Karen was introduced to Tony, our Highland sales counselor, all the way through our home buying process we had a fantastic experience! He was both very personal as well as professional in all his dealings with us, communicating in a timely and thorough manner. Later, when our house went under construction we began working with Jack, our construction manager. He was an excellent communicator utilizing e-mails, texts, and phone calls to update us on progress and address any questions or concerns we had. This was especially helpful to us as we were living in another state during construction. We felt like Jack was genuinely concerned with our desires related to our house and was willing to go above and beyond to make sure we ended up with a house we were thrilled with. We hired a 3rd party to inspect the home. Many issues were found. The report was provided to the construction supervisor and sales rep. A subsequent follow up by the 3rd party inspector showed that many issues remained. A copy was again provided to the same Highland individuals. A 3rd inspection was performed prior to close. A couple of issues were still identified. After move in one major issue was still unresolved - oven tripping breaker. We were assured prior to close it had been resolved. It was not. Disappointed about the failure to address issues and had to engage a 3rd party inspector multiple times. ... More

Overall the buying experience with HH has been good. The sales team as well as the project manager have been very cooperative and always heard our concerns. Todd, Ivonne and Dillon were always helpful. I cannot say the same with HH third party vendors whether it is low voltage or high voltage. A well linked document tracking with all changes is something HH can improve upon. It wasn't easy to track. Construction quality was good but painting needs significant improvement. I still see lots of patches across the inside walls. Unimportant, but it would have made a huge difference, normally, all builders give a nice hamper (chocolates, wine , hand towels with our names) at the time of closing. No such thing was provided. How common is Jonathan for a name? Prior construction supervisor normalizes and minimizes complaints, (chipped bricks/defaced bricks are normal, there are plenty of leftover bricks, sub-contractors should have installed those "perfect ones", "normal for stairs to squeak" inspite of adding more screws on stair steps, guy who supposedly repaired the squeaks would pass for principal danseur as he carefully descended down the stairs to minimize the squeaks, he is a little bit stocky with matching attitude lol, he could only blame the framer for the squeaks, uneven wood stain application, rough door jams, uneven flashing, uneven sodding, construction manager does not check work of individual sub-contractors, how do you miss a window on the third bathroom (upstairs). Blame game among subcontractors, lackluster painting subcontractors (a lot smudge bricks that needed to be changed after closing. Construction manager prohibited use of flashlights to check on imperfections during walk throughs. buyer should be offered to upgrade sidings to brick or stucco instead of hardies, builder should have flexibility regarding orientation, right swing or left swing, driveway ended up directly across the opposite driveway. all showers areas should be recessed. there was a rush to close on a house despite multiplicity of items that needed to be done, closing was done and no window in the bathroom, how? Construction supervisor asked for 5 stars lol, his efforts are not worth for 5 stars, at the same he brags about his texas A&M school, and he got "promoted" or just transferred, woooow. don't worry this will not go online to make him famous. Same plan, same builder, different prices in different communities, different level of standard features in each community should be conveyed to multiple layers of subcontractors. building the same plan in the same community, different placement of vents/exhaust, not sure if the architect/engineer drew it differently lol, some items needed to be discussed during pre-construction meeting. so much inconvenience imposed on the buyer waiting for repairmen, are you gonna give me a pergola, epoxy garage floor, skylight or hotel stay for free while repair work is being done? ... Buying from highland homes was the best decision I ever made, they were not pushy trying to sell me a home I came to them and they were phenomenal with the whole buying process, I just keep getting compliments on the house thank you so much highland homes!

We had great experience with the Highland home sales person towards closing and with the walkthrough with the construction manager. The staff has been responsive and helpful in taking care of any issues that came up. We have bought homes in the past but but we would rate our experience with Highland Homes too notch!

We've had several opportunities to work with Highland Homes, this being the first home we completed with them, and our experiences with them have been harmonious and impressive. They go over and above in many ways, and we know first hand that other large builders would not offer the same. The biggest problem we did encountered was with the design center and the selection of certain home items. The kitchen cabinets were far darker than they appeared in the design center but Highland Homes very graciously offered some alternatives that met the need perfectly! For this we are so grateful! There were other little issues with the design center where more guidance was needed but not provided but should we do this again, we will know to do our own research and get more information before deciding. We've built homes before and did not have this issue so this was a learning experience. The only other things I would mention have to do with communication with the sales team. They were always very cheerful and ready to help but some key information was not given to us until we were fully committed to this property and house. Such as the extent of lawn and landscape that we are responsible for involves common areas outside our lot. Areas that, in our experience, had always been cared for by the HOA in those communities. The HOA here while being far more expensive does not care for these areas and the restrictions on said landscape are nonnegotiable. We felt this was very poorly handled and unfair to us. There have been some disappointments in other things with work by their sub contractors. Sprinkler system, lawn and tree health and growth. Quality of some of the workmanship that sub contractors have had to return to correct or fix. But this has been addressed quickly by Highland Homes with plenty of follow up by the builder to ensure our satisfaction. The quality and uniqueness of this and our appreciation for it cannot be over stated. Over all we have had a very good experience with Highland Homes and would build with them again. ... More

Both my sales rep, Todd and construction manager, Mason, were awesome to work with. Very responsive to questions. Were very proactive on the process and made the entire experience enjoyable.
