We first saw this home almost two years ago, when it was a brand new model home. We met Ivy then and she was SO friendly and nice! Not pushy, just gave us the info we wanted and left us her name and number! We perusal looked at the model 4 or 5 times, each time bringing different family members and friends. Ivy was just as gracious as always. Even though she knew we really didn't want to have a house built, she still kept us in the loop and greeted us warmly each time we visited! In January 2025, we drove by again and saw that the model had SOLD! We were so disappointed but figured it wasn't meant to be. Then just a few weeks later, we were taking our daughter to lunch and she said hey there's this neighborhood is really like to see. (She lives off of fm1103 about 2 miles from here). When we turned in, I realized it was the Neighborhood with the "dream home". My daughter said hey it's for sale. We couldn't believe it! We went in, walked around (again LOL) and asked what had happened. Evidently the day BEFORE the buyer had backed out! My husband and I looked at each other and said, "let's do it!" Of course, Ivy was there and she remembered us (she probably thought we were stalkers LOL). Also there was Rockie, a broker. He asked if we had a house to sell. We said yes so he said if you want, I'll follow you home and see if I can sell your home quickly. So Rockie came to see our house and liked it. So... in the course of a couple hours we made a decision to buy a house and sell ours! He, Ivy, and Natalie made the whole process easy and, quite honestly, fun! As with all homes, there were just a few things that needed to be fixed, and the three of them, along with Bobby (assistant builder) made sure it was all taken care of in just a short time! We moved in and wake up every morning saying, "Do we actually live here?!?" We still keep in touch with all who helped us! ... More

We closed on our beautiful new Highland Home in Parten Ranch in March 2025, and the entire process was exceptional from start to finish. Having built several homes before, including a custom home, we can confidently say this was our best home-building experience yet. From day one, we felt supported by a team that combined professionalism, responsiveness, and genuine care. During the planning phase, every detail of the home was thoughtfully considered—especially accommodations tailored to meet our particular needs. The construction process was equally impressive. The job site was always clean and well-organized, communication was consistent and clear, and the craftsmanship stood out—even earning praise from a third-party inspector. Every step of the way, it was clear that quality and customer satisfaction were top priorities. Since closing and moving into our new home, the follow-up has been amazing. A great effort has been made to be sure we understand the systems in the home and know who to call if needed. A few minor issues have come up and were promptly attended to and resolved. This was the first time I've ever bought a home. From the beginning it just felt right. Things went so smoothly for me that I thought it was too good to be true. Even when I asked that they remove the carpet, they did with no problem. After I picked the flooring I wanted I saw the finished product and was amazed. It was exactly what I was looking for. From the moment we decided to buy with Highland homes to the end date was roughly 7 months long. During the whole time we were getting up to date news on property and it seemed to flow pretty smooth due to the hard efforts of Patti, Lance and Alan. Without their constant help and assistance throughout the process my wife and I would’ve been lost and the purchase would’ve been pushed back. Patti was absolutely amazing at the end guiding us on items to supply and pushing everything through to the loan processor in a quick manner. After the purchase Lance checked up on us and the new house often making sure we had everything we need and giving us helpful contacts in case of emergencies. I must say that this was a surprisingly pleasant experience from start to finish. I truly was not expecting Highland to be so accommodating of my requests. While, most of the build process went according to plan life is such that it throws curve balls at you every now and then! It is at those times that you know for certain that Highland is a great builder because of the way they responded and by their willingness to make things right and to our satisfaction. This point should not be overlooked as buying a new construction home is going to be the largest financial transaction you ever make and you do not want to be worrying nor stressing out about how your house is getting built. I do highly recommend Highland Homes at Brookewater. The team of professionals here are friendly, knowledgeable, and customer service oriented. It seemed to me that they were always available if you had any concerns or issues.

Our experience from the beginning (lot purchase) home construction and our closing was outstanding everyone was extremely helpful. We are very pleased with the quality and value of our new home. Everyone from sales, design, construction and closing were all very helpful and accommodating. I believe Highland Homes is honest and professional and would not hesitate to recommend them.

The people i mentioned above were great to work with. Answers to our questions seem to come with ease and quickly. Problems were nonexistent. Slight problems that existed with the property were handled in a timely manor. The property itself I'm satisfied is of good value and quality of workmanship is quit good. Closing was a bit disturbing, the drive to plano for people of our age could be troublesome for some. Overall experience I'd rate a 12 out of 10.

Great experience working with the sales team and the construction manager in buying our new house

Doug and Bryn were the best builder and salesperson. They were helpful and accommodating to our family and needs throughout the project. We would recommend Highland to others. With every new home build project there will be issues but their ability to address immediately made all the difference in the experience.

waiting for follow-up visit to answer some concerns. lawn sod is not bouncing back as promised - some gaps between sod pieces. glue on floor boards not adequately cleaned up.
