Overall our experience with Highland was amazing from start to finish. The selection process with Heather was seamless. The design center was easy and transparent. And then the construction process with Mark was thorough, honest, and professional. We’ve since recommended Highland and the 6 Creeks crew to numerous friends and coworkers!

How common is Jonathan for a name? Prior construction supervisor normalizes and minimizes complaints, (chipped bricks/defaced bricks are normal, there are plenty of leftover bricks, sub-contractors should have installed those "perfect ones", "normal for stairs to squeak" inspite of adding more screws on stair steps, guy who supposedly repaired the squeaks would pass for principal danseur as he carefully descended down the stairs to minimize the squeaks, he is a little bit stocky with matching attitude lol, he could only blame the framer for the squeaks, uneven wood stain application, rough door jams, uneven flashing, uneven sodding, construction manager does not check work of individual sub-contractors, how do you miss a window on the third bathroom (upstairs). Blame game among subcontractors, lackluster painting subcontractors (a lot smudge bricks that needed to be changed after closing. Construction manager prohibited use of flashlights to check on imperfections during walk throughs. buyer should be offered to upgrade sidings to brick or stucco instead of hardies, builder should have flexibility regarding orientation, right swing or left swing, driveway ended up directly across the opposite driveway. all showers areas should be recessed. there was a rush to close on a house despite multiplicity of items that needed to be done, closing was done and no window in the bathroom, how? Construction supervisor asked for 5 stars lol, his efforts are not worth for 5 stars, at the same he brags about his texas A&M school, and he got "promoted" or just transferred, woooow. don't worry this will not go online to make him famous. Same plan, same builder, different prices in different communities, different level of standard features in each community should be conveyed to multiple layers of subcontractors. building the same plan in the same community, different placement of vents/exhaust, not sure if the architect/engineer drew it differently lol, some items needed to be discussed during pre-construction meeting. so much inconvenience imposed on the buyer waiting for repairmen, are you gonna give me a pergola, epoxy garage floor, skylight or hotel stay for free while repair work is being done? ... My home buying experience with Highland Homes was a very pleasant one. Sandra, Dalton, Gwen and the entire Highland team were a pleasure to work with. I recommend Highland to anyone looking for a new home.

Buying from highland homes was the best decision I ever made, they were not pushy trying to sell me a home I came to them and they were phenomenal with the whole buying process, I just keep getting compliments on the house thank you so much highland homes!

We had great experience with the Highland home sales person towards closing and with the walkthrough with the construction manager. The staff has been responsive and helpful in taking care of any issues that came up. We have bought homes in the past but but we would rate our experience with Highland Homes too notch!

We've had several opportunities to work with Highland Homes, this being the first home we completed with them, and our experiences with them have been harmonious and impressive. They go over and above in many ways, and we know first hand that other large builders would not offer the same. The biggest problem we did encountered was with the design center and the selection of certain home items. The kitchen cabinets were far darker than they appeared in the design center but Highland Homes very graciously offered some alternatives that met the need perfectly! For this we are so grateful! There were other little issues with the design center where more guidance was needed but not provided but should we do this again, we will know to do our own research and get more information before deciding. We've built homes before and did not have this issue so this was a learning experience. The only other things I would mention have to do with communication with the sales team. They were always very cheerful and ready to help but some key information was not given to us until we were fully committed to this property and house. Such as the extent of lawn and landscape that we are responsible for involves common areas outside our lot. Areas that, in our experience, had always been cared for by the HOA in those communities. The HOA here while being far more expensive does not care for these areas and the restrictions on said landscape are nonnegotiable. We felt this was very poorly handled and unfair to us. There have been some disappointments in other things with work by their sub contractors. Sprinkler system, lawn and tree health and growth. Quality of some of the workmanship that sub contractors have had to return to correct or fix. But this has been addressed quickly by Highland Homes with plenty of follow up by the builder to ensure our satisfaction. Both my sales rep, Todd and construction manager, Mason, were awesome to work with. Very responsive to questions. Were very proactive on the process and made the entire experience enjoyable.

I had quite a few issues with my home initially, but they were resolved. I am still having issues with contractors cursing at me when I ask them to move their vehicles from blocking my driveway or making it impossible to drive on the street. I would not recommend being the first in the neighborhood. Especially if you work from home.

We had a great experience working with Highland to buy our first home as a family. They scheduled home tours quickly, and when we found one we loved they helped us move through the application and lending process seamlessly. Our new home is top quality and the builders have been super responsive to our issues and requests even after closing.

Each person involved in this process was kind, helpful, knowledgeable. My overall experience was excellent, This is my second Highland home.

Bought a move-in ready home and remote closing (lived out of state). Have a few issues in the home and the construction manager (CM) is not responsive. For example, the screws on the garage door lever/arm fall apart (Yes, in a brand new house!!) and the lever got disengaged from the rails. CM didn't take it seriously for quality of the product that was delivered and he refused to cover it under warranty. Moved-in late January and still some of the issues in the house have not been fixed. Not a great expereince and we couldn't justify the premium paid to purchase a home from Highland!!

The buying experience was excellent, but days later after we closed started seeing a lot of issues. The biggest issue was our backyard not draining very well and started killing the grass and Highland didn’t want to do anything about it, saying they don’t warranty against puddles, but they weren’t ordinary puddles. However, they did finally fix the issue. The other major issue had to do with our glass back door. It has scratches in the glass that Highland will not fix, because it’s cosmetic. I know that we didn’t put the scratches there, it happened during the build. We missed it during our final walk through, because the builder concentrated us on the inside of the home. Highland did not due a thorough inspection. Definitely spent the money for an inspection!!!! We deserve our back door fixed because we did not do that, but they will not! ... More

We were able to purchase and build an incredible home through Highland. Communication has been excellent and professional. Out of multiple builders we looked at, Highland exceeded above all the rest.

Scott, Colleen, and Jeff truly made buying and building a home in Star Trail a pain-free experience. So much so, that we recommended Highland Homes to our in-laws who have started a build with them as well.

We had a great experience working with Shawnette and Dexter. At first we were a little concerned because we started with a different construction manager, but Dexter was great to work with. He picked up where the other manager left off without any issues. They made the process easy. We were kept in the loop with weekly email updates from the moment of ground breaking through completion. They always did what they promised to do and were quick to respond if we had questions. The quality of Highland Homes is top tier. I would say to anyone looking to purchase a new home you wont go wrong with Highland Homes. The quality of their homes and the customer service you receive from the team can’t be beat. Xavi was so incredibly responsive and transparent, he made sure we felt valid in any concern, cared for with any repairs/issues that we came across, and responsive with any and all communications. Overall it was a great experience and we cannot thank Xavi enough. We did choose to go through a separate lender than Highland to avoid extra "fees" added to our loan to offset a "discount/incentive" that Highland Home Loans was claiming. All of that incentive was nearly wiped out with their extra fees and frequent pressuring to sign documents and commit as quickly as possible. Our only issue with our homebuilding process was dealing with the Highland lenders, but everything with the actual "Homebuilding" was great! ... More

My experience buying a highland home and now living here a few months has been wonderful. I’ve noticed a few small things post move in and they fix them right away. I’m so glad I purchased a highland home, some of my other neighbors have had issues and get no response from their builders which thankfully I haven’t experienced at all.
