From the first day I met the sales manager Anita to buy a house I felt comfortable and after I decided to buy and followed up with her and the construction manager Jack I was very happy to deal with them for their honesty and implementation of everything we agreed on from the beginning of building the house until the end, and everything was perfect whether in terms of quality or dates as the delivery was on time. Now after moving into the house on the first of November and until now Mr. Jack has been very interested in providing us with assistance and meeting all our requests. I am very ...

Highlands Homes did an amazing job on not only the craftsmanship and house quality, but also the services and responsiveness for any questions/concerns my wife and I had. They were resolved in a snap of a finger. I would highly recommend Highland Homes if you're considering buying a quality home on your next purchase.

Everything was great but Highland could use better trades. There are too many redos that cost Highland or the buyers money. They can get real lazy and it shows. If Highland doesn't demand perfection from its trades, it may start to have a negative reflection towards Highland due to the cost of the home vs some of the lack in workmanship by its team of trades.

2nd Highland Home Build Experience

This was our second Highland Home build in 5 years. We went from a 2 story to a 1 story closer to our grandkids and we love it! Our Building Supervisor Jared was once again wonderful in making our home exactly what we wanted to be. He and our sales associate Alyesha were 2 of the biggest reasons we built again. Love our home and we are just to grateful for their help and attention to detail!

My home purchase with Highland Homes has been a great experience from day one. I would attribute that to Layne.the sales agent as he’s been stellar to work, knows his product line, and knows how to get you into a home. The process was quick and easy and I’m now enjoying my new Highland Home.

Great Staff and overall Build Out - but more is to be desired.

The Highland Homes sales and construction staff make this builder pleasant overall, which is why I gave it a higher "star" rating. The staff is incredibly responsive and wants to make things right and on time. My only disappointments are with the finish-out selections in some areas throughout the townhome, which are subpar and could be brought up a notch without hurting the bottom line. There simply in no excuse for some the cheap choices. For Example the dome lights in the bedrooms. These are so incredibly cheap, ugly and frankly insulting. But I will leave it at that. I am a pleased but I ...

Our experience with Highland Homes was exceptional from start to finish! The process was smooth, stress-free, and genuinely enjoyable. Karen, our sales representative, went above and beyond to guide us every step of the way, making us feel confident and supported throughout. Travis, our builder, was nothing short of spectacular. His attention to detail, professionalism, and commitment to excellence exceeded all expectations—and even after the build, he has remained a fantastic resource. Initially everyone was great. But as closing came, things were different. Brick color was different from what we chose. There were so many little things that was promised but didn’t happen. Frontyard was just not great looking. Trees look dead. I asked the builder multiple times… not much response. I had to ask to power wash the garage. Had to ask to clean the floor before moving in. I wish the handover would have been more official and smoother… and 100%. I had bought some houses from other builders.. had completely different experience. Builder was nice.. but didn’t meet the ...

We haven’t paid much attention to quality of work before closing. We identified few issues but didn’t insist too much on getting them corrected. After closing we ran into many minor issues from wall paints to lose door handles breaker issues wrong door type poor quality electrical outlets etc etc While none of these are big issues…. I didn’t expect to run into these petty issues which highlighted the quality of construction I do want to note that Highland had been very responsive and are trying to fix the issues.

Issues during the first month.

During the first month I’ve lived in the brand new house. Finished building October 22nd, closed on the house October 24th. 1. Bathroom light stopped working 2. Shelf in pantry fell apart 3. Electrical issues from the front porch plug. Doesn’t work, even after I reset the circuit breaker. 4. Still don’t get mail here OR able to find on maps. 5. The design of the back yard makes it flood. The water drains in the back are not where the water flows through so I just have this big puddle and mud section of my yard. I wonder what’s next.

Highland Homes responded:
Hi Isaac, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a detailed review as it allows us to better understand areas of improvement. I’m sorry that this was your experience with your new home as we strive to respond quickly to our homeowner’s needs. After speaking with our team, I’m glad to hear that we are in the process of resolving these concerns for you. It was a pleasure working with Nelli & Orion at Highland Homes. Nelli helped us plan and choose the right options. She also quickly worked through business issues as they surfaced. Orion built us a beautiful home. With the added challenge of being out of state buyers, he did an excellent job keeping us informed on the progress of our home. He has been very responsive to minor items that surfaced during the walk through and orientation. We are very pleased with our new home

Beautiful floorplan, great potential but quality work lacked

This builder has so much potential because there is a good product that could come if the building team took our home seriously in their work. The building team did not walk us through home building as it should have been done so many things were missed and even done incorrectly due to lack of proper oversight. I often voiced concern that I need more information prior to having meetings to decide on things but would not get the information I need prior to or even in the meeting. The building team should have walked us line by line what each category is and meant and not brushed over anything ...

From my experience (first and the LAST) with Highland homes is that they used very very cheep materials. we moved in little over a month now, the master bedroom closet where we hang clothes fell off with the metal bar, on the other side the brackets bending down and the wood piece coming off the wall. both garage doors making scary noise when goes up. kitchen entry door from garage always hits the pantry doors, also highland painted the door hinges. first of all I believe using dead cheep materials and poor supervision caused these issues,
