I am so impressed with Highland Homes, and could not be any happier with the entire experience! Gracie, Matthew, Crickett & Clint were all fantastic to work with. I appreciate how helpful and responsive they were throughout the process. We are in love with our Highland Home!! Thank you : )

Day 1, sewer backed up and circuit breaker for refrigerator had to be replaced. A few days later no hot water, all flow orifices had to be removed to get sufficient flow for water heaters. This is due to the way the water heaters were installed. Wrong size circuit breaker installed for double oven. White spray paint on exterior of sliding doors and Highland will not address. Breakfast area window needed to be replaced, damaged during installation but no one told anyone. No soft close hinges on cabinet doors (HH saved $200 on that one). Black marks on white door trim from door hardware, told this was normal. I replaced all strike plates and now fixed, HH saved $40 on that. Laundry room cabinets installed so high as to not be useable, I lowered them. No cabinet pulls in Study, Laundry Room or other bathrooms. Water heaters installed as far away from kitchen and Master Bath as could be. Will need hot water recirculation. I am still crawling on the floor with a wet toothbrush getting white paint out of woodgrain. Reset exterior door strikes so door came into contact with weatherstripping. Trim carpenters don't deserve to be called carpenters. Nicks on door trim behind hinges throughout that were not filled, just painted over. Electrolux appliances not worth whatever you paid for them. Patio exterior outlet in a location that makes it unusable. Master Bath makeup vanity wall outlet installed INSIDE a cabinet. Had to shim the rear wheel of refrigerator due to floor being out of level so much. We apparently expected too much. ... More

We have lived in our new highland home for a few months now and are absolutely thrilled every day we get to wake up in it. From start to finish Highland has been professional, easy to reach and demonstrate quality on every corner of the experience. We have had a few small things to warranty and they have been nothing but understanding and on top of it. I can not reccomend this company enough! Thank you highland for such an amazing experience

Their pricing structure and mortgage rates were competitive, providing us with a good deal that aligned with our budget and financial goals as first-time buyers. This aspect made the whole process more accessible and less stressful for us. Moreover, communication with our builder has been positive. It's essential to feel heard and understood during the process of moving into a new house, and Highland Homes has been receptive to our concerns and queries. We appreciate their willingness to listen and address our needs throughout the process. However, there's room for improvement in their responsiveness to issues that arise post-construction. It seems like the building managers might be stretched thin, affecting the response time to certain concerns. Enhancing this aspect could further elevate the overall customer experience. Buying a new home can be stressful. Highland Homes did a great job of addressing issues promptly. I would recommend to family and friends.

My biggest gripe is the homeowner doesn’t really get a say so on the house. For example the height of the shower head. I’m 5ft but the shower head is placed so high I had to buy a removable shower head so I could bathe. You don’t get to choose which side the locks go on the gates. It’s perceived that you are part of the decision making as far as the house but you really aren’t. You don’t even get to choose the type of door bell you want or where it’s placed.

The overall process with highland homes was great! Highly Recommend.

Love my new home and it looks great. Took two months after moving in to complete quality / warranty problems. Problems included things like exterior doors alignment, appliances tripping circuit breakers, exterior mortar and caulk voids, lighting fixtures (broken, alignment or missing), some of the standard interior fixtures are cheap, window screens damaged. Sales people implied some model home features were standard features.

Highland Home house finishing was the main reason for us to choose Highland. Also, the commitment and sympathy of Traci and the Highland team was fantastic.

My experience with Highland Homes goes back to the 80’s as a child, when my parents purchased two Highland Homes in the Dallas area. So, when it came time to purchase a Highland Home for my own family, the decision and trust in the brand was easy, already proven, and well established. I will say that my own experience on the construction side wasn’t flawless, but when it came time to make things right and address found issues, responses and actions taken were swift . Highland Homes, like many truly customer-centric corporations, continues to solidify that their customers (and their name/brand) is important in their continued success. Ginger and Clayton could not have been any more knowledgeable, helpful, and professional. It was a great experience for us.

Unfortunately, the barn door has been mistakenly built (not per dwgs), and it's been 2 months without a resolution to this mistake.

The new home is not only beautiful, but the quality of the workmanship is outstanding. Our construction manager Luke was very professional and attentive.

It was really great experience working with sales team while building my home. They were very cooperative throughout the process. Though there were minor issues closing done with the trust to complete rest within couple of weeks or so. But its almost 2 months and i have to chase down builder to get things done. I did not move in until 1.5 months post closing and already seen wood flooring sliding, cabinets paint rushed, bay window sitting area having no support so cracking, garage entry door making noise etc and broken window nets from day 1. Have had new build homes from Landon and Megatel in the past but never had this experience. It's frustrating to see these issues as soon as you move in and speaks for quality. ... More

If i do have a choice I will not buy any highland homes, they never mentioned all throughout the home construction and buying process that I bought a house beside sewer facility, The only time i knew when I send my own inspector a day prior to closing. There are so many unwated experience during construction process. They respond poorly for any warranty.

After not having the best experience at the 45' lots, we went to the model home of the 50' lots and this is where our great experience started! Julie was such a pleasure to work with through out the entire process, and our builder Tom was very knowledgeable and was very responsive. We would recommended Highland and this team team to anyone that asks us for advise.

Chris and Criselda were so easy to work with. We built this house long distance and their service was over the top.

there are so many mistakes and issues in home we can literally tell it just by looking at it, the builder assigned to us is not cooperative at all, in some situations he is adament and not willing to fix the fundamental problem , we still have so many outstanding issues that are not taken care properly from Paint, Irrigation issues etc... I hope Highland home sees this review and gets back to me to resolve those issues..

Closed on home with laundry list of items to be completed 60 plus days in home and still not completed nor a timeline to be completed.

Very responsive to work orders, personable, respectful, and professional. Easy to make appointments for repairs. The quality is great and the service is equally wonderful. This is my 3rd Highland home and I’ve had wonderful experiences every time!
