The home buy experience was very easy. It was less stressful then other homes we have bought. The quality of a Highland home is amazing. They take the time to show you how to operate all the modern convenience.

Helpful in the beginning. However, once we paid off for our unit the response got somehow slower. A lot slower i might add. Depends on your personal standards. I , personally wish they would focus more on detail. Life is made out of small things anyway and for or the $ they asked for our house we expected more serious professional kind of service. We paid for our unit 100% in full. Thank G.. we didn't have major issues like AC, Roof, Water, Foundation, or a anything of the kind. Generally speaking, my impression was a"spotty" kind of service,if there is such a category. A lots of room for improvement in the communication, job quality, responsiveness, and finishing department. Too bad but that's the truth. You hear a lots of " yes, no problem " but the reality is 87.5 % of the time you don't get the service you expect for the $ you paid in the beginning. But they are nice guys. We had a very smooth home buying experience with Highland. Our home was under construction when we bought it, so most selections had been made. We were, however, able to make a few changes that were important to us, and that process was very easy. Karen sent photos of progress on a weekly basis, and was quick to respond whenever we had questions. Our project manager changed during construction, and the transition to the new project manager went very well. Amilcar was very responsive and easy to work with. We also enjoyed working with Will. We really love our home and are happy that we chose Highland. The only minor disappointment has been the landscaping. Deer are very fond of many of the front yard plants, and much of the sod has struggled to become fully established. Most of this is not under Highland's control, but I think consideration should be given to installing deer resistant plants in the front. On the plus side, both front and back yard were fully landscaped so we could focus on moving in and we didn't have to worry about finishing up the yard. Overall, Highland builds very nice homes, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to others. ... More

From first meeting Rayshell in the model home, to now the warranty repairs on our new home, all aspects of buying a Highland Home has been seemless and exceptional.

Warranty repairs are not handled in a timely manner and some repairs created more issues and repairs.

Overall a great experience. My biggest issue are the following; 1. The amount I paid for my home and the space .. houses are just so close to each other. Literally the home behind me is in my backyard… I can’t even have privacy. I paid way too much money to not have some sort of privacy. I know that on me as well because I should have pick a home that didn’t have the neighbors in the backyard. Ridiculous for the price though. 2. Workmanship- for the most part ok but ton of area that have paint issues (not enough coats of paint), damage to doors (scuffs, paint drips) and under the sick multiple holes in the wood where it seems like someone was confused where the hole needed to be. Put a new piece instead of leaving that messed up piece there. I spent too much money on this home for it not to to have detailed oriented work done. Not to the standard that we expected. We've been living here for 3 months and the issues are still not completed. We keep finding more the longer we live here. Would not recommend Highland Homes to anyone

We bought a home in Santa Rita Ranch, and our project supervisor, Francisco, did a great job updating us step-by-step, making sure his subcontractors performed to the highest level. Francisco was amazing, and we highly recommend him and Highland Homes.

The only issue we have with our house is the back fence. It makes us feel like we are prisoners. We were never told that the fence would be 8 feet tall. We have one of the smaller backyards in the track so the back yard is only 5 feet from the patio.We wish that it could be taken down 1 foot so we can at least see something other than a fence.

You don't feel like your living in s house of the price tag. Poor workmanship on multiple aspects, lacking higher end feel that the simple things out s house give you.

The home buying process with Highland Homes was very professional and unique. They made you aware of all aspects of the buying process, and made sure ,you were at ease at all times. They were curious and a pleasure to deal with. My hat goes off to Highland and all their team!!

We couldn’t imagine building our house with anyone else. The entire experience of finding and building a house with Highland has been absolutely amazing. The Highland team from Tom on the sales side, to Chris on the build side made the build process extremely smooth and stress free. We are from out of state, so Tom and Chris made sure we were always updated with the progress of our home. We got weekly calls and pictures throughout the entire build. Our house was finished on time, and we couldn’t be happier. If you’re thinking about buying or building a home, Highland should be your pick.

Our experience with Highland was issue free. Our salesman and our construction manger were top notch. They handled our requests as we sent them in and were professional and speedy. The home is the best home we have lived in. We love it.

Lots of workmanship issues found at the home. We bought online so we didn't have a chance to see the house before moving in. Had to escalate issues to senior leadership in order to get things moving. One contractor came do an incorrect job and I am still waiting to hear back and get a date to get a replacement cabinet door. Too many defects for new construction. Not willing to recommend Highland.

Let me start by saying I’m a first time home buyer, and I want to thank the sales counselor Alan G. He helped me and my family through this whole process by keeping us in the loop when the house was going through its stages of being built to helping us find the right finance team that provided us with a home loan. To answering every and any questions we had about the process and the building of our home in a timely manner. I can’t thank him enough and my family is super grateful for him. And we love the quality of the home and how everything is so spaced out and to whatever I wanted to add to the house it was done. And a huge thank you to the builders that got back and fixed some small things that occurred while settling in the house with fixing things in a timely manner. But overall we are happy with highland and I highly recommend their homes to people who are looking to purchase in the future ... More

any time I had a problem with something, Jacob was quick to respond.

The Highland Homes sales person, builder and mortgage lender were all very responsive to my questions and reduced the stress of moving out of state to Texas.

Both Sales rep and builder have been great

I have had multiple issues with my home since moving in. Despite letting it be known that I have these issues they remain unresolved. I would recommend going with a builder who is a bit higher quality.

Highland was awesome. Sarah and Valerie did a great job.

We love love love our Highland Home. We have bought several new homes throughout our life and we saved the best for last. This will most likely be our last home. From A to Z, first look to close, then to now. EVERYTHING was superb X1000. Rayshell, Reggie, Ryan, etc. Just could not be happier. Thank you.

Buying experience with Highland Home's sales and finance team was great, the construction manager was accessible too... Less stress compared to my previous buying experience. My home floor plan is functional(living and kitchen area) and easy to decorate. The exteriors are well made with high quality materials, with water efficient sods. However, like every new home these days the interior finishing quality isn't that great. The paint quality is poor, you can't wipe off stains without doing touch ups. The toilet water systems are old-school and not efficient. The doors are not tight enough allowing energy losses mostly in the attic areas. I believe some of these issues could be avoided if you build from scratch, you can pick energy efficient items. The warranty respond team can do better. Jason was great sales person and Jared was also great. Communication was great and upto our satisfaction. The only constructive feedback I would like to give them is that they should be consistent in offering upgrades to the neighbors for example there was an option to add a gate on the back fence which was missed for me where is there a couple of options that were missed for my neighbors. If there is a script that they can follow or list of items that they can follow for upgrades or any other things that could be great. Also there should be a way to record the walk-through meeting when they explain everything because it is hard to remember in the excitement of looking at the home.
