My experience with Highland Homes was excellent from beginning to end. Fist of all, the home is built with quality materials and high end finishes. I really like that there is no carpet in the home and its very bright and open. The quality does not even come close to the other builders homes in this price range. The management staff is very helpful and always there when you have a question. No delays in getting back even after the home was bought. Especially enjoyed working with Lula and Matt

It was not an easy process given the nature of the market. Denise was supportive and attentive every step of the way. In addition to that, everyone that worked with us was supportive-we are grateful, and happy with our purchase.

First off, the sales Experience was TERRIBLE. I was all about what they couldn't do, and there was ZERO follow-through after close from my sales "professional". Secondly, Highland was NOT ready to close on this house when promised. There were so many issues at the time trying to close, many defects, cosmetic issues and functional problems. It took 17 months to complete the build (it was NOT delayed by supply chain), and we had to find other living arrangements during that time. Just simple things like cleaning the yard after close from construction debris was a chore and hard task for the builder after many complaint attempts. Painter's work was the worst I've seen in several houses. There was little follow-up on items that were mentioned, and several re-mentions and attempts had to be done to get things complete. From front-office sales to back-office builder and warranty support we have been treated extremely well and could not be happier. The quality of build and general experience has been fantastic. Debbie and Lindsay made the sales process extremely smooth and fun. Dave supported us on the build side and made the entire process fun and turned around warranty items extremely quickly. In the later stages getting settled into our home Lane took his time to do an additional warranty walkthrough and showed Highlands support for the foreseeable future. It has been a great experience doing business with highland

The home is beautiful, but there are several noticeable flaws. The house was rushed and the quality of work was awful. Most of the issues we see have to do with framing. Some of the walls are warped and not aligned with the other walls. We also had a water leak the week after we moved. Just very disappointed with the workmanship and quality of the home. I would not recommend highland homes.

I Wouldn’t recommend highland to my dog .We still have messed up cabinets and no one is responding after we close .

So happy with our Highland Home purchase! Our build was great! Our build manger, Cameron, is very helpful and very thorough. Our sale rep, Pat, is wonderful. She is great at easing our concerns and following through on everything all the way to closing. Highland Homes builds a really nice home. They have a great following and their people prove why they have such a great reputation. Not a single regret, so happy we chose Highland Homes..

I think the fit and finish in the home is sub par. Some stuff seems to be put together very careless. In all honestly I would consider another home builder when I buy another home in the next month or 2.

Poor quality - I guess this must be acceptable and normal for Houston quality level , and Highland is doing good based on the Houston quality level measurements. But if you want to compare it with somewhere else (my case Canada), way poor quality specially in finial finishing , touching , cleanness ...

The homes are being built be the same mediocre subs as the "lower end" builders in the neighborhood and as a result the homes have the same mediocre end result. The materials themselves are fine and what I would expect at this procepoint, but are often installed wrong or with no regard to workmanship (chipped tiles, broken studs, miscut carpet, missing hurricane ties, scratched windows, chipped cabinets, chipped counters, etc.) and getting anything corrected before or after closing is like pulling teeth. Even once our construction manager Trystan agrees something is an issue it requires constant follow-up to get an inidcation that action will be taken. After that the timeline for repairs is pretty clearly "when we feel like it". I will be told something will be installed or replaced on a certain date and 30-60 days later the issue will still be unresolved. Sometimes there is an excuse, but more often when I ask why my time has been wasted sitting around waiting for subcontracters that never show - I get no response at all. One giant investment later and I have a house with wasps getting into our bedroom and everything banged up like it has been lived in for a decade. Overall the result is okay and frankly tough to get anything better at this point in time, but you will have to be your own advocate to make sure things get done right. ... More

Overall the actual homebuying was low average--i.e. responsiveness to issues-after moving in -they seemed to not be able to control very loud music of their workers-this is ongoing and detracts from the overall experience-it also interferes with our ability to do our work at home.

Hayley, Cheryl, and Dalton were AMAZING! They are the reason we went with Highland. Dalton continues to check in with us and he's been very responsive to anything we have questions about. This has been our most positive home building/buying experience to date!

We moved in, no hiccups. House was ready to go. We love our new home and enjoy it!

We had many builder options and assessed most models. It seemed that Highland were the quality and value package. Unfortunately our experience wasn’t quite that. We’re a month and a half post close and still have contractors every day completing or correcting work after being promised we would be done months in advance in a date we need to close.

From start to finish, the process was extremely smooth. The professionalism from the sales office, construction manager, and lender was absolutely outstanding. After moving in, I had a few minor warranty requests and the responsiveness to the issues were impressive and very much appreciated. I couldn't have chosen a better builder and would be the only one I would recommend in the entire development.

Love our new home from Highland! There are a couple Things here and there that have had to have work on after closing but nothing major and we absolutely love our new house!

I have built with other builders including Grand Homes but I can say the experience with Highland Homes has been the best!! They're very understanding and ready to work with their clients. They're quick to respond and very pleasant to work with. We've had a great experience building with Highland and our neighbors share the same sentiments.

Jonathan & Pat were a great team to work with. We enjoyed the entire experience.

Highland Homes was very easy to work with from the sales process to the construction management. We are happy with the home to this point.
