Tony and Ray are the ultimate Sales and Construction duo! They were very helpful during the purchase of my new home and continued to check in once I closed. You can tell they truly care about every homeowner. I love, love, love my Highland Home and couldn't imagine living anywhere else!

Great customer service, it was a pleasure to work with your company. We are really enjoying our new home and entire smooth process of building. Every issue was addressed immediately and office was always on top of it.

Jason was amazing to work with from to start to finish, as was Jeff. There are some workmanship concerns on a few places in the house (flooring upstairs, stairs being weak and loud, carpet having places that protrude).

We greatly appreciate the buying, building to moving in journey and most importantly after move in support by Highland Homes. Sia understood our requirements and helped us get the right house and lot of our choice. Alex our builder was always highly responsive and built us a beautiful home ensuring high quality finish. Overall a great experience and would highly recommend!

The customer service and responsiveness is great. All questions and issues are quickly addressed.

We love the floorplan and how the home looks, but it was not finished by the closing time despite all the promises and now almost months after closing we still have unfinished items. I spent tons of time following up with the manager on finishing it and very frustrated with it. Thq quality of finishing is another point of frustration. There is no attention to details, a lot of stuff done roughly, uneven, with spots, sharp edges dents, scratches, etc. The builder didn't care about fixing it unless we insist

Highland homes are well built with good floor plans. We are in a new portion of the development and there are 3 developers who build here. We are living in a garbage dump!! The builders make no effort to clean up and theirs trash is everywhere. We are constantly picking up trash out of our yard, some is construction debris and even paper plates and cups from the workers lunches!

This was my third build and it was a great experience. Carol and John were professional, kept me in the loop and delivered me a home that I love.

Our house has cracks on walls and garage and they continue to extend. We did call it out prior to closing and some of them were addressed. Probably put paint over the cracks. Kitchen cabinets were painted poorly. I requested a few to be redone prior to closing. It was somewhat fixed but overrall cabinets quality especially in the kitchen l would rate 1 star .Concrete in the garage lots of cracks and we were told thats normal unless l can put a coin in the cracks, thats when its considered to be addressed Service and responsiveness was great but the quality not so good

Overall great and stressful experience. I little disappointment my an expired welcome gift.

We absolutely love our Highland Home! Ryan and Dave went above and beyond throughout the entire process. Communication and service was top notch. Even after the build process, Dave checks in on us while juggling other properties. We are Highland Home lifers. Thank you for making our dreams come true and then some.

I decided to build with Highland Homes in Katy TX and am so glad I chose them. Everyone I encountered/ worked with went above and beyond to meet or exceed every request/ expectation. They were all kind, knowledgeable, responsive, kept me informed for every step of the process, and provided customer service that I thought was extinct. My house is perfect in every way, and any hiccups (which have been very minimal) have been addressed within or under 24hrs. Todd (in charge of my build) went out of his way to make my dream home a reality including requests I figured would be a long shot, which made a huge impact for me. With what I’m hearing from neighbors that went with other builders I hit the jackpot, so I’d definitely highly recommend them. Having moved a number of times, this is our retirement move, closer to children. We have a lovely home, we have downsized so still adjusting ( I'm sure this will take a bit, we also relocated from 5.5 acres). Looking forward to our new lifestyle. Neighbors have been friendly and helpful, Glad we chose a dog & kiddo friendly neighborhood, lots of areas to walk safely.

Communication was not always good including the lack of consistent, periodic updates on construction status and warranty work. Some subcontractors were good, others were sloppy and unreliable.

We are so grateful to have Zach , Mike, and Trystan. Trystan has been always responsive and keeps us in the loop of when we will get things fixed/repaired. We are glad we closed with Highland even though there were lil issues here and there- because the care we received after closing is very impressive. Our project manager didn't just forget us.... but is still within our reach and responsive. We appreciate it. Especially with all the horror stories you read on other builders.... we are definitely glad we went with Highland Homes.

We decided to build with Highland because of the option to customize. Denise our sales rep was informative and thorough. Jim was our builder and he was truly a class act. I was so pleased with his responsiveness and his delivery of a great product. I love my home. We really built our forever home with Highland.

Ana the sales lady for highland homes in Mustang lakes is never at work and is completely not responsive, to get in touch, to make an offer by us or our agent was terrible. The only experience worse than that, is the builder Brian. Highland signed documentation to complete work within 2 weeks of closing. It’s been 2 months and not a thing has been done. We either are ignored or straight lied to. We have missed multiple days of work to be here for work to be done, only for no one to show and no response from Highland. I would not recommend anyone buy a home with highland. We have already sent 3 prospective buyers to other builders (2 in contract) in mustang lakes. If I could give negative stars for Trustworthiness and customer service I would. ... More

This is my third Highland home purchase & Shawn was, by far, the most knowledgeable and proactive builder we have ever had! His experience is apparent from the time you meet him & his attention to detail is appreciated. One would expect that after the sell of the home, you would not see or hear from the builder again, but this is not the case with Shawn. He stops by to check on us & make sure everything is functioning in our new home. Overall, he made the experience top notch by offering excellent customer service & building a great home! We feel very fortunate he built ours!

We've now worked with 3 Construction Managers (CM) after firing the first (refusing to work with him) after he lied to us about a sealing issue in our roof that our personally hire inspector found. Our 2nd day in the house we were awakened at 2am to substantial leaking in 2 bathrooms, hallway, walls, roofs, etc. because there was so much water on the ceiling it set off the smoke detectors. Since then, we found out they only used primer w/o a coat of paint on most of the house, we have white paint stains ALL over our house, including all over our brand new (and expensive) woof floors, in additions to nicks and scratches. Dozens of things around the house weren't sealed correctly, if at all. Mirrors were not secured, we have a big dip in our wood floors in the kitchen that they didn't even try to fill in or cover up. They just added the wood planks over the gap and said nothing. There poor landscaping also flooded our front yard garden area, they made changes to the houses layout without even consulting us!! because they "had it when they were a kid". The painted our brick the wrong color, they didn't stain our fence as per our contract. The paint was blotchy, uneven and sparse all over the house. We've been here for 2 months and there literally has not been 1 day when we haven't found something else wrong and the majority of those days we've had workers and CM's in and out of our house to fix things. Except they either don't show up when scheduled, show up randomly unannounced and unplanned, invite themselves over (the CM Clint), they have big packages mailed to our house w/o telling us they're coming, what they are and what they're for and they put them in the middle of our driveway or blocking our front door or in the mud. Speaking of yards, they put a porta-potty in our front yard - yes they put a portable toilet that workers were using in the middle of our front yard. We had to move out a week because they had so much to fix and when we came back less than half of what we were told would be done was done. They lied about replacing drywall in all of the areas effected by our huge leak in the roof and they've had workers come to fix things that either don't show up, don't fix anything, make it worse or fix it but create another problem. And I'm only telling you part of it after 2 months. The biggest slap in the face is that they've offered absolutely nothing for all of the trouble. No upgrades, no discount, not a single thing. Oh but they did give us $200/day for the week we got kicked out of our house that was supposed to cover lodging and food for a family of four - with a 3-yr old and 5-yr old. And boy do they lie. We even have them on tape and video to prove it. My hand is tired, otherwise I could keep adding things for hours and I'm not kidding or exaggerating. So I would say don't use them maybe :) ... More

Doug was our builder. Despite going through this process from another state, his weekly updates and supper responsive for all of our questions have made this process very smooth and seamless. There were countless time where he helped made our decisions easier and we appreciate his professionalism throughout the process.
